Ok so I have to give this spot 5 stars! Its my new spot! Upstairs is a restaurant and its so tasty and reasonably priced. I had steak with onions and Spanish rice for $ 21 plus some tax. The drinks are strong and delicious. Downstairs is alllll the fun! Its nit your typical karaōke spot. They have couches and different tvs. So you can pick where you stand and sing. Such a great crowd! Everyone cheered everyone on no matter how bad they sounded. Often the crowd sang along with you lol. People dancing and just enjoying themselves. Def will be going back!

The food was actually pretty good, but the service, drinks, mood, and anything else you could name were subpar.

I was just here last night with a friend to go drinking after a week of work and wanted to enjoy a change of pace. Being a first timer in Williamsburg in general, this was the second and last place we went. Had the Malibu rum while listening to people singing to songs I’ve never heard of and their shrilly high pitched voice or voice cracking. It was a fun night, couple of hours, like 2 or 3, passed easily without knowing how. We sat at the back, near the bathroom/stairs, it was alright. There were a couple good singers that I thought should be on The Voice or why they weren’t signed onto a record label. And then, there were others that were like, instant out, like pressing the buzzer in the music shows or just really slow or a monotonous voice throughout the whole song. Overall, it was quite fun.

Some friends and I headed here in search of karaōke after some day drinking at Crown Victoria Beer Garden — we were not disappointed. I would describe this place as delightfully ratchet, and I mean that in the best way possible. Crowd was very mixed and the karaōke definitely brought everyone together. From old school r&b, to top 40, to rock and everything in between, each singer was cheered on enthusiastically, even the ones who were horribly off key. There were some people who sounded like professionals, and pretty sure one guy was actually a famous rapper that I just didn’t recognize. Drinks were cheap. Will absolutely be returning to participate in some further ratchetry.

Bootleg at its best lol. I have come here so many times, just to enjoy the voice cracking, off key off melody talents of so many singers here. The availability of the songs here are quite big and would make any karaōke buff happy. The beers are ice cold and the mixed drinks are actually better than most bars in manhattan. The décor, well, lets just say, not much was spent on décor. Alot of the seats are damaged and you sink in, some are stained from drinks, and some are just not usable. But you will have a good time nonetheless. It can get very crowded so sometimes you need to acknowledge that there might only be elbow room. Its a def must try, come and enjoy the voices that brooklyn shouldnt offer lol. P. S. I dont know if I would ever term anything or anyone as «Ghetto» as some people have been using this. I dont think some of you guys even know what that term really is except for the negative concept that people have placed on it. And to be honest, I see a mixed amount of people here. So just personally, I dont see how the term ghetto could be used here. I wonder if some of yall who use that term will go out to one of the people you are referring to and say«hey, i think you are ghetto», if its not something you would do, maybe using that term to identify people is a mistake. Just saying, be socially responsible when reviewing.

I came here for a hill song party, it was a little weird because it was underground hipster yet no alcohol was served. They played ratchet music and I kept wondering how was this hill song… Another con was the lack of phone service due to the venue being in the basement. At some point they played karaōke. Not enough stage space. Overall a weird party with a combination of things that don’t work together.

The bouncer(who has a full suite of face tattoos) literally assaulted my female friend and kicked us out without letting us pay our tab. This place should be shut down.

Pros: Plenty of tables. Nice clean atmosphere. Okay service. I say«okay» because the person at the register will at least put his calls on a brief hold to help you out. Reasonable rates. Interesting menu as far as drinks. Cons: Parking can be sparse. The night’s I’ve come here house music is constantly playing, not much melodic variety.

When it comes to Karaōke… this place is always a hit! Good place to go for groups and if your looking for some good entertainment! The crowd is usually mixed, but can get heavy hip hop later in the night. Never ate at the restaurant upstairs, but downstairs is where the action is.

This was pretty one of the best karaōke experiences I had and here are the reasons why: –my company, obviously –the food and the reasonable prices –the prices for the drinks and bottles($ 120 for a bottle of Hennessy? I love it!) –the musical selection –the ambiance and good vibes Now here are some things a you should look out for: –you might end up being there for 2 hours and never sing if you don’t speak up! And most of the time, you get an attitude for asking about your song –drinks are watered down so come with a big group and get bottles !! –the bathroom is tiny –there’s still septic tank smell in certain corners So when you go make sure you roll in deep and get bottle service! Also make sure your songs are being played! If you do that you’re guaranteed for a great night of «flarp» notes and losing your voice lol

25&over? Really? What kind of karaōke bar has an age limit besides 21& over. Place looks disgusting right when I walked in and a lot of ghetto people surprisingly for a Williamsburg spot.

Had a great time! It was empty(literally) since we arrived late so I wouldn’t know what it’s like on an average night. Didn’t use the bathroom so wouldn’t know what that was like either, but the service was great. If you don’t pick songs, they’ll pick them for you which was annoying at times but overall I had a great time.

Enjoy a nice dinner at the restaurant upstairs and then make your way downstairs to LuLu lounge. Just make sure your boo thang takes off his Yankee fitted and shows i.d.. You’re guaranteed a loud, dizzy, drunken good time. There are TV monitors everywhere so you can sing along with whichever tipsy, carefree soul is rocking the mic. There are also a bunch of song books going around to choose from, should you decide to cash in on your 15 minutes of fame. I like it here.

Karaōke is fun, but wait is way too long for your song to be played. DJ only plays her friends songs or those who tip get preference. But Saturday nite crowd was alot of fun, esp once the drinks start flowing. Not bad, but not a wow.

Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It’s nice, the food was nice as well. Service was quick. There were other parties going on and and the set up was a bit confusing. I think it was based on a first come first serve basis, however you have to call to reserve seating which isn’t accommodated. Overall, nice experience, would return. Maybe not for a big group though.

This place isn’t that bad. but it depends on the crowd. some of the crowd can be obnoxious and Getto… LuLu lounge is in the downstairs portion of Tacu Tacu… This place is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It’s either completely dead, or it’s packed with bump and grind«Kayne West-ers». When it’s dead you basically have a karaōke bar to you, yourself and the bartenders… which can be kind of fun. On the weekends be prepared to get patted down, searched.

My girlfriends and I went to the place the other day for happy hour. Its was awful: 1. the karaōke hostess was rude and only played her friends songs. Her friend thought she was Whitney Houston until some other girl came in and showed her up. 2.Bath rooms were horrible(and i have seen some nasty ones in nyc). 3. I literally had to yell at the bartenders to get another drink. 4. Small crowed was ghetto, and wanted to start fights(whitney houston wanna-be:). It makes me sad this place is so awful. Maybe one day they can turn it around!

If I ever go back, it will definitely NOT be on a Sunday! The crowd is obnoxious and the same group people get chosen to sing over & over. Pretending to have a Chinese accent while singing stupid songs is the most horrific noise I have ever heard, unfortunately for this place I heard it here. 15 minutes in & I was counting down the seconds till it was time to leave. Most of the people tend to have a great time here; I hope the next time I’m there its a better experience.

LuLu lounge is in the downstairs portion of Tacu Tacu, just down the street from Sea. When we arrived, the place was dead, sans one party of already way-too-wasted-for-9pm folks warbling off-key Aretha Franklin. But hey, that’s the point of karaōke. Arriving early was for the best, as the place quickly filled up and seats were hard to come by. Comfortable couches, but an uncomfortable wait for singing. More servers needed to accommodate the crunch of tables waiting for drink refills. One really creepy guy at the bar stalking our group of girls the whole night too … but I guess I can’t blame that on the lounge. I can’t say I wouldn’t come here again, but I might not pick a weekend. As far as karaōke spots, I’ve seen better.
