I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. I was just told by the delivery driver not to order from them anymore, because I am too far away. I ordered online through GrubHub, so I feel that I shouldn’t have been given the option to order from there for delivery. Secondly, I ordered the chicken peanut entrée and crab rangoons. The crab rangoon was good, but the peanut entrée was chicken and broccoli with some peanut sauce on the side. I also paid $ 1.00 extra for jasmine rice to be included with this entrée. There wasn’t enough sauce for the chicken, broccoli and rice, so unfortunately, it was very dry. I’m bummed I was made to feel bad for ordering from them and then only to have a disappointing meal. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

My friends and I decided to stop in here on a Wednesday evening to eat quickly before heading to the bar. It was about 8 of us and the restaurant was completely empty, no other patrons. So everyone knows and expects Thai food to be prepared quickly. We sit down and order. Some order apps, some just entrees. We sit and wait and wait and wait. Now 45 minutes has passed! Which is ridiculous. At the same time deliveries are constantly leaving the restaurant. People even come in order, wait for their food, and walk with their order. Now I’m getting pissed and getting a headache. Someone in my party asks the waitress where our food is. She says, oh it’s coming. Then appetizers start coming out one at a time. My appetizer never makes it out the kitchen. Then entrees start coming out one plate at a time. Then everyone but one person has their food. Ask waitress about her food and she says it’s coming. Then she comes back 5 minutes later and asked what she ordered. So clearly they forgot her order. Some people are eating and others are done. The food was good at least but had to judge because I was so damn hungry. The last person that received their food wanted to take the rest of her food since she barely ate it. The waitress picks up her plate and puts someone else’s empty plate right on top of it without even asking if she was done. So much for trying to take that home. Umm, needless to say I won’t be coming back here again.

The interior of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the waitstaff is on top of their game. As far as the food goes, it’s not the best Thai I’ve ever had, but it’s not the worst. We ordered the chicken pad Thai, chicken pad si-ew, and fried ice cream. The pad Thai did not have much tamarind flavor, which is my favorite part of pad Thai. It’s such an unusual and acquired taste that my taste buds crave while enjoying Thai food. I’m disappointed I did not get that here. Nonetheless, this dish was average. The pad si-ew was better. The seasoning was spot on and the Chinese broccoli was still crunchy. The egg gave the dish a balance of flavor. The chicken on both dishes was nicely cooked and tasty. We were expecting the fried ice cream to blow us away. However, it was just mediocre. The ice cream was ice cream and the outer layer was a greasy mess(it contained way more oil than regular fried foods). All in all, the presentation is very neat and finesse.

I used to LOVE Jai Dee. I work across the street so it’s really convenient, but lately they have been falling off! The Spring Rolls used to be so flavorful and now they’re just bland. Also, same with the Pad Si Ew, which is what I usually get. Just lacks salt and any kind of flavor. There are much better Thai places. If this were 1 year ago, it’d be a 5 star review, but now I just say save your money unless you like bland food. :(

Excellent Thai with prompt delivery. Everything I have had here is excellent. Some standouts: drunken noodles and green curry, mmmmm…

This place overall is an excellent Thai restaurant. Prices: The prices are perfect. Nothing is more expensive than you would expect. Food: I got the Thai dumplings and they were fantastic. The dumpling sauce was just right. I also got the chicken pad Thai which was very good as well. Some establishments can really mess up pad Thai but this was one of the best I’ve had in Brooklyn. I came back less than a week later and got the shrimp pad Thai which was also delicious and perfectly cooked. And for what it’s worth, the Thai iced tea was the perfect blend! Staff: Very very nice and friendly. Could have been better about refilling but not a major complaint at all. Cleanliness: Unfortunately this is where I had to dock some stars. While the place looked and felt clean, one of the senior staff members was extremely unsanitary. We watched as he wiped sweat from his forehead, then ran his hands through his hair… then served us water, all without washing his hands. He was also coughing a LOT near where we were sitting and behind the register. I hate to give a bad review because he was very nice to us and everything else was great but in NYC cleanliness is of the utmost importance.

This place is fantastic — just need to know what to order. Pad gad prow aka basil chicken, shrimp or basil ground chicken with egg(the traditional way), Green curry, beef pad sid ew, pad prid king, pad thai, tom yum soup, coconut soup, papaya salad — they’re all solid! The owners are the sweetest folks you’ll ever meet! And their lunch specials are excellent deals. Anyway, writing this is making me hungry… I think i’m going to order their lunch special before I miss it! By the way, it’s funny how folks try new things at ethnic restaurants and say how terrible it is… and tragically and unfairly, translating that to bad ratings… It just may be that that’s how the dish is made and it may not be your favorite, regardless where you go. That’s why I read the worst ratings first to get an idea of what folks are unhappy about.

Been here once because I was treated here. Two word not bad The ambience is very nice and comfortable. Staff very welcoming and overall experience is lovely. First time trying Thai food and it was one if the best experiences FOOD — The food was very delish. I had the pad Thai noodles with the peanut sauce and lobster. The noodles was very delish like it was home made. And it burst with lots of flavors. The lobster was also very tasty. Also the waiter gave me peanut sauce on the side. Which was a plus. — i also tried the shrimp dim sum. Which was popping with favor. Each bite was like I was in Thailand which is a huge advantage. The dim sum was not over powering and was very tender. Atmosphere /environment As u walk in. You are walking into a different world. You see artwork and the décor was fabulous. If you want to go on a date night, relaxation or if it Just want to spoil yourself. This place is for you. You will not be disappointed. Trust me :) Cleaniness is top notch. No complaints. Tables cleaned that you could see your face. Bathrooms is clean. Everything is clean just like their personality And here is the important part … Customer service. Based on the stars there is not surprise this place hits home. The staff is very friendly, attentive, smile and caters to our needs as a customer. The staff always ask if we need water and is everything is okay. With no complaints and with a smile to back it up. Now that what customers service should be.

Not an authentic Thai restaurant. Too many Chinese dishes on the menu; never found in authentic Thai restaurants. Went in for lunch. Had Pad Thai with vegetables & tofu, which I judge Thai restaurants by. If not authentic I won’t go back. I was given a heaping plate of bland rice noodles with little to no tamarind sauce used. Very few pieces of tofu and vegetables, which was mostly a bit of bok choy. Chopped peanuts and bean sprouts were included and a very small bit of egg. This was without doubt the WORST Pad Thai I’d ever had. Left half over, which I’d never do if good. The spring rolls I had with it had a couple strands of cabbage inside, but were mostly crust. Another telling sign that this is not authentic Thai were the red chopsticks at every place setting. Even though Asian, Thai’s don’t use chopsticks. You’ll never see them as part of a place setting in good Thai restaurants. All in all, a poor choice if you want a good Thai meal.

The owner is extremely sweet and I experienced great customer service. The food is sensational and I asked for medium spicy drunken noodles and was shocked! Delicious and the spring rolls are classic. I will make this my regular place with my husband!

My boyfriend and I were unsure of what to have for dinner so we decided to walk down 7th to see what we could find. We came across Tai Dee. I have had Thai food once before and it was pretty good so we decided to try it. The place was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. We started with drinks, my bf had a Singha while I tried the plum wine. The wine was good but way too strong for my taste. It took me all night to finish it but our drinks were on the $ 3 happy hour menu. We started with the chicken and shrimp dumplings. They were decent. Not bad not spectacular. My boyfriend ordered the Massaman curry with beef while I had the Ginger Sauce with chicken. We also split an order of Thai basil fried rice. The flavor a of the food were extraordinary. Good prices for good food. We will definitely return in the future of order from home, they deliver! Great experience overall.

We were disappointed with lunch. My approach when checking out a Thai restaurant is to order the classic dish and see how they do on that. So I had Pad Thai. The noodles were not fresh and the chicken tasted like it had been cooked a while ago. It was quite mediocre. My wife had Spring rolls and was equally disappointed. The Thai Iced coffee and the Thai Iced Tea was fine.

I cant get over how delicious my young coconut green curry is! Ive been ordering from Jai Dee since they changed from Watana for over a year , and I love it! At first I was a bit skeptical but I am a convert. My favorite take-out place in Park Slope. Food is always fresh, very reasonably priced and most important fresh. The vegetable curry has many different veggies(asparagus, bok choi, eggplant, carrots, bamboo shoots…) and they are never overcooked and very flavorful. Once I ordered a pudding dessert which came in four separate little bowls. My roomate and I were licking them clean, plus we kept the bowls that are very cute. Thumbs up!

After my prior review was read, and I spoke with the manager, they had told me they’d replace 2 dishes. Though I had to fight for it, the manager came to my apartment to replace the dishes, and address prior concerns. The dishes I received were admittedly fresh, and the seitan was pretty tasty. Noodles were not sticking together, and basil notes were prominent throughout the dish. Though there was more food, the portion was still a bit depleted. One of the dishes was too oily, and not sesame oil, but still serviceable. Wish Unilocal had half stars, this is a solid 3.5 stars, half a star for the pleasant conversation I had with the manager.

Writing this as I eat my take out Tofu satay has good flavor, well marinated with peanut sauce. Papaya salad had a strange bitter after taste but seemed fresh. Lacked green beans and tomatoes though. Pad Thai was colorless and bland, how does a Thai place mess up pad Thai I will never understand. Pineapple chicken fried rice had good flavor but lacked pineapple(4 – 5 chunks), chicken(3 – 4 pieces) so it was basically fried rice? Thai ice tea was good bc of the half and half I’m gonna stick to my other usual places.
