EXPIREDDRINKS… STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE! nope, never come here again! the owner changed, the service sucked bad. we went there and ordered a cup of coffee and asked how much, 2 $ for an 8oz cup of HK style coffee, the lady kept mentioning its cheap, and told me to look for a same style of coffee for 2 dollars! I didn’t even mention it’s expensive, don’t know why she wants me to find another place which cost less. NOTCOMINGBACKAGAIN! POORSERVICEANDBADATTITUDE! close down for good! there’s a Dunkin Donuts right across the street! and many other selections. DONOTCOMEHERE!!! EXPIREDDRINKS… STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!

Horrible food and small cramp place. Would not come back wasted my money and time. Also food gave my buddy a stomach ache so bad. The cleanliness should be questioned for sure. Thank you

I love little places like this, but the food is seriously lacking. I don’t know what it is. I ordered the bitter melon and beef with rice and crystal noodle shanghai style spicy. It really wasn’t all that good. The curry on the noodles were too powdery. I didn’t have the bitter melon but was told not to order it again. The only good thing maybe I always stick to is the bacon and spam fried rice. You can never go wrong with bacon right? Maybe their sandwiches are safe bet too. The kids love their spaghetti. I’ve never tried it, but looks good.

The quality of the food has really declined in the past 2 years. One of these dishes gave me a stomach virus… I will not be returning.

The food here is either really bland or poorly made. This place intends to be a HK style café, but is more like a Chinese take out joint. One of my close friends enjoyed coming here, but I’m really not a fan of the food.

I never really liked their food, I’m happier with HK tea & sushi on 86st. My husband recently bought food from them and I asked him to bring me home a few choices of drinks, the next morning I woke to have a sip of the milk tea drink… I told my husband I didn’t want the drink because it tasted weird and a little sour. He checked the bottle and told me it was expired, like wth it was expired months ago! -.-

came here for lunch recently. i was instantly confused when i walked in. the menu is plastered all over the walls and was hard to read, not many pics to visualize either. we ended up trying to seafood spaghetti. which was literally lo mein that would have been tastier and cheaper than theirs was. also had the iced honey lemon, there was no honey, lacked flavor and was more like a diluted iced lemon water. we also had the shark fin soup on the side which was more like a weird hot & sour soup with some shark fin looking stuff in there? the wait was a little longer than we wanted since we were starving! but we came on a sunday around 1 and all the tables were taken! i thought that must mean the food has to be good. but as i read some of the reviews i realized it was a neighborhood place that people just came for the sake of getting fed. i might come back since people recommended their club sandwiches, but this isnt a place to specifically come here for unless you are in the area.

I’ve been here a few times and the food is alright. The sandwiches are pretty good as well as the baked dishes. I love the french toast with condense milk. I got french fries from here recently and they were so much better than i expected, a lot better than fries from McDonalds and some other restaurants. The fries were really worth it and it was only 4 dollars for a huge portion. The customer service is the issue for me. The people there are a little rude sometimes and when i make a mistake with my order and cancels it they complain.

The club sandwich is a must try here! It’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. :)

The food is actually really good. It’s the most hong kongnese I’ve had for years, but the problem is the attitude of the staff. They prepared some food and accused me of ordering it and then later when I didn’t notice him silently waving at me he said«next time you should pay more attention.» Excuse me?!? I think saying«excuse me your food is ready» or «who ordered chicken fried rice», would be more helpful than silent waving.

At this time they have an «A» rating. Him and Her café is a fast food hong kong style café. The quality of the food is cheap. The food comes out slow too. Ambiance, older Chinese people and families come to eat here. I had the lo mein and the baked curry rice. Service is ok. The lo mein was okay. It is very similar to the carts in Chinatown. The baked curry rice was good. I love the rice and the way the curry taste but the chicken pieces were very dry. I also brought milk tea– very standard. I also brought the ribena with lemon drink and I really love this. It was not too sweet and it taste just right. But this drink is very easy to make. All you need is ribena and lemon. It cost $ 2.50, for a small amount. I like the hong kong style cafes on 86 Street more. I do not think I would come back here because the food is not outstanding.

I ordered the French toast with taro and baked spaghetti with bacon and tuna. The French toast was delicious, it was my first time eating french toast that way and boy, it was amazing with the side of condensed milk. I would come back here just to get that again. The baked spaghetti was okay, i would have preferred it if it was bacon with chicken because the tuna has this really fishy taste and Im having trouble finishing it. The milk tea is really good too.

It a quaint little place where they are very friendly and very informative. I love going here from time to time to get bubble tea. I got The honey dew bubble tea with lychee popping bobas… It was fantastic!!! I always try something new here. It has become one of my favorite bubble tea quick stops!

This place opened a few years ago and I finally decided to give it a try. This place has little snacks if you’re looking to order a few small snacks instead of a meal. I personally do not like it here because their food is not that great. Their drinks are also very watered down and flavorless. Food is not expensive here but I would not come here again.

The wait for the food is just too slow. The food here is average, I don’t see what’s so good about the food here.

Authentic hk style food, good sized portions, huge menu options and they have a large variety of hk style tea. The prices are very economical and the staff is very friendly. Definitely a neighborhood gem. Favorites: crystal noodles and baked pork chops over rice.

Some tasty options for HK style Chinese food in this area of Brooklyn. A small, no frills, almost cafeteria style dining area, but take-out is super popular. Doesn’t serve breakfast(anymore) but menu open from 10 am through dinner. Some of the best foods I’ve had include the chicken steak, beef brisket, baked beef tongue, and club sandwich. The fresh pineapple bun is excellent, whether with a decadent dab of melted butter inside or without, its exceptional for its lightness. The HK style milk tea is also excellent, for which I’m grateful b/c none of the bakeries in the area can seem to make even a tolerable version. The Korean style stir-fried noodle dish is decent. Should note that the first time I came here, I ordered wonton noodles and hated it(yes I know, should not be buying wonton noodles from a place like this and expect it to be good, but here’s to hoping). Haven’t had anything else quite so disappointing since. Service is reasonably efficient and courteous, but can be slow so takeout is best called in ahead of time. Looking forward to coming to try more of the foods.

Him and Her Café opened up several years ago directly across the street from the 79th Street D Train station. It’s been one of those neighborhood places I’ve been meaning to try but just never had the chance to. It was very out of the way being across the street and all. I finally journeyed across the street today after I got off the train because I was sick and haven’t really had solid food in my stomach all day. In fact I’m currently sitting here waiting on my food. I stood outside and took a look at their menu. I noticed it said Vietnamese Sandwich and quickly ran inside hopeful to add my Banh Mi list. Unfortunately, much to my disappointment, the soft spoken man behind the counter informed me that they’ve discontinued making those and instead suggest the Pork Chop Sandwich. I agreed and now I’m waiting here for my sandwich. I’m taking a look around and it seems like they serve a lot of different types of food. Seems like a good sit down place for a casual lunch or dinner. There’s sandwiches, rice dishes, noodle bowls and even steaks. — — — — — — — — — - I just received my sandwich and am running the 4 blocks home to eat it. I’m anxious to taste it. I already smell it and it smells wonderful. — — — — — — — — — - Ohhh emmmm geee! I just took a bite. It’s a simple triple decker sandwich made on crustless, toasted Chinese Bakery White Bread with lettuce, mayo and perfectly fried boneless pork chops. Yum is all I can say. Amazingly enough my upset stomach feels much better. Now if only it would get rid of this headache. The owners of Him and Her Café are very sweet and soft spoken people. You can tell that they are really nice just by listening to them talk. I would definitely come back here again and next time sit and stay for a meal.
