I gave them a call to see if they had a certain game they did. I inquired about how much I might get for a game they told me exactly how much is get and that I may apply that to purchasing the new game. I visited them within 10 minutes and as I went to look for the game they asked what I was looking for I told them and they told me they already had it at the counter we did the exchange. Everything was 1,2,3& done took me a total of 15 min from calling them driving there and exchanging the game. No complaints here

Worst GameStop in Brooklyn. Went in and was never greeted but was stared at. I was trying to trade in a gift card that I got from babies r is and the cashier named Duis was very rude. I gave her the card and she lied to me and told me they didn’t accept babies r us gift cards. When I called another store they told me they do in fact take babies r us cards. I felt as if she racially profiled me thought I was doing something illegal and she has made me never want to go to another GameStop again. I later called to tell her that what she said was not true and she told me «I don’t have time for this» and hung up in my face. I tried calling again and she ignored the phone.(I guess GameStop ignored calls now too). I spoke to the manager Dan who tried to say the machine was down when I stood on the phone talking to customer service for about an hour looking at them take guests on the same machines he claimed were down. The machines weren’t down because she took my cards and typed the numbers in and told me that they don’t accept babies r us gift cards.(Not that the machines were down) People like her shouldn’t work for GameStop. Worst cs I’ve ever seen. Why lie to your loyal customers.

I’ve been here on several occasions. I’ve seen staff, some nice, some need a lesson in working with the public(e.g. watching staff members berate and mock a frustrated customer who left — very unprofessional). My biggest concern is that I wanted to buy a new Wii U game as a birthday gift. I found a game with great reviews, however the spine and artwork were ripped as if a knife had cut it. I asked the guy behind the counter if this«new» copy would come like this, or if there was a new box in the back. He informed me that the particular copy in my hands was the last one… A new game, that looked worse than the Pre-owned ones. I was pretty much in disbelief. Some of these comments mention how the shrink wrapping is horrible(possibly due to them being played and resealed after its use). The one I wanted didn’t even have any shrink wrap. Pretty disappointed.

My husband and I aren’t HUGE gamers, but we like to have a few games around the house for lousy-weather days when we just want to lounge. We don’t, therefore, shop at Game Stop all that often. That being said, the few times we have been to this location haven’t been stellar. On one occasion, my husband called ahead to verify that they had new PS3 consoles available(this was well after the PS3 release, so new consoles were much less common than refurbished or used consoles). He was told they did. After walking a mile to pick it up, he found that they were mistaken. They didn’t have any in stock after all. Needless to say, that was really irritating. We had a similar situation when he tried to pick up a game at a later date. The game box was displayed, but when we tried to buy the game itself at the counter, we found that they didn’t actually have it in stock. Otherwise, the store has been okay. We bought two games from there in total and they’ve run well and are in great(pre-owned) condition. The staff runs the gamut from friendly and knowledgeable to indifferent or even surly. Don’t have high expectations and you might not be let down.

Very unhappy with the customer service I received this past Sunday 1÷25÷15. As I was walking in the store a man(assuming who works there) was at the door with his hands up as he didn’t want to let me in, and then he said«I can’t let you in here if your not going to buy anything» and as my sister walked in a different man who worked there as well walked up to my sister and said the same exact thing to her with even more attitude. I was very disgusted with these comments and the way they where addressed.

They have a nice staff most of the time, I mostly go over there to buy Ultimate Game Cards, Riot Cards, or GoCash cards. However, the tax kinda kills with multiple purchases, though I would say it’s kind of worth. Sometimes there are long lines, but it’s a little dim and alright.

I found some old games that I don’t play anymore at home, so I went to this gamestop to see if I can get anything out of it. Handed one of the male staff the games. He takes one look at them and tosses them back on the counter. He rudely with an attitude said we don’t buy back or trade these games anymore. He could’ve at least handed back the games back at me. Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. I would give this gamestop a zero star if I can, since I’ve heard and seen that the staff can be rude at times. Leave your attitude at home. Don’t take it out on me. Smh!!!

The only thing this place is good for is buying Madden and maybe COD if you don’t want to buy it online. It will always befuddled me how this company rips off there costumers with obscene over the top priced games. I went to buy a game that was 2 years old and not only did it have a crack on it it cost me 20 bucks. I will be returning it tomorrow.

This is my GOTO location for console games, the staff know what they’re talking about(unlike other GameStop’s I’ve been to) and they’re extremely helpful. I always pre-order my games here, and I get them the day they release, which makes them reliable in my mind. My only problem with this place is that it doesn’t have enough games to choose from, there are some games that I want to get that are way too far away from me for me to make a trip, and I wish this GameStop had it. Other than that, this is a great place to buy your games from. Just don’t buy them used, just spend the extra $ 5 so the developers would actually get the reward they deserve.

i wish i could give this place a negative star. i went and got resistance: burning skies for the ps vita. the clerk, athena, assures me it’s new. i pull it out of the bag when i get home. sure enough, i was charged for a new game but the game is not shrinkwrapped and has no tags. it just has a clear adhesive on the right side of the package. i went to to complain? 4 days later there has been no response. bye gamestop. hello online playstation store.

Reservation required I want you to think about something real quick. Imagine going to the supermarket and being told you can’t buy milk as you haven’t reserved it. Orange juice will be available next week should you wish to reserve it you can get it the day it comes out. Gamestop requires you to preorder any upcomming game if you wish to get it around the time it comes out. The lighting is a little dim and the lines take forever.

Let’s talk about STUPIDITY: Man walks into Gamestop with money in his pocket. Man sees game he’d like to purchase. Man brings box up to register for purchase. Man is asked if he put a $ 5.00 deposit down to preorder the game. Man has no idea what the fuck the moron behind the counter is talking about, but says that he has the $ 60.00 in hand to buy the game. Man is denied purchase because the store ONLYHASENOUGHINSTOCKFORALLTHEGEEKSWHOFORKEDOVER $ 5THREEMONTHSINADVANCETORESERVE A COPYOFTHEGAME. That’s right– the store would not allow a customer to pay for a game. Gamestop must still be riding high– despite the crippling recession. We’ll never shop here again!

Oh For FUCKS sake!!! That is the thought that runs through my head once I get in line at this place. So Thursday I head over there to pick up Halo 3(i know I am late on getting it) so after searching through bins and walls of used games my lovely wife goes«here it is» so we take it up to the register to buy the damn thing. First off I have this family in front of us wanting to buy a wii or something and the store clerk says the warranty is not valid if you throw it in a bathtub, now i would have thought this was a funny comment but after waiting for 20 minutes on line I nearly snapped and a «no shit!!!» slipped from my mouth. The other clerk closest to me is on the phone bullshitting away. The other clerk says«DUDEOFFTHEPHONENOW!!!» my god at least someone is paying attention. Finally I am up and I pay for my game and I go rushing out as soon as the transaction is finished.
