Im going to chalk my experience up to the owners not being there and the girl working must have been new. She said they only had 1 menu and that we had to share it. 2 seperate groups of people. No thanks… I had asked about the *bacon for the BLT. I dont like tempeh so i asked if it was and she said«the vegan one is tempeh, the vegetarian one is just regular bacon» What the hell does that even mean? In fear of what i might get I ordered the Philly cheese steak. And let me tell you. It was really good. It took forever to get it but it was worth the wait. If I do go back hopefully someone different will be working.

This is a nice little place, with a very friendly staff, and good food. This afternoon, though, I was helped by a girl who, let’s just say, probably isn’t one of the owners. She came to my table to take my order, and she started by showing me a mark on her breast that was apparently some kind of injury she received while working on the previous day. This was very strange, but I figured she must be making a lame attempt at getting a good tip, and wrote it off. Later, when I went to the register to pay, the same girl told me that, at her previous job, she had picked a «coke booger» out of someone’s nose. I wish I was making this up. I told her that I didn’t think I really needed to hear about that. She laughed. So…memo to Earth Tonez… you may want to screen your employees a bit differently. It’s great that, in addition to providing vegan food and bio-degradable forks, you’re lending a hand to the mentally ill, who, to be sure, need something to do with their time just like everybody else. But please consider that just a little bit less generosity in this regard may make for a much more pleasant dining experience for your customers.

Listen, I REALLY wanted to like this place. It’s an all vegetarian, all natural organic or naturally grown when possible joint. The staff are so nice you want to shrink them, put them in your pocket, and carry them around for ever more. The outdoor patio is fantastic, minus the biting bugs. The menu items are all made with faux meat and vegan cheese, and you can get spelt bread. All of the takeout boxes, plates, etc are made with biodegradable post consumer products. All of the above are reasons I want to love Earth Tonez. Alas, my Mediterranean salad was 50% wilted greens. This was true of my dinning partners salad as well. Disgusting! The only non wilted veggies were the olives, but sadly they were the small stuffed ones you get with a martini. Come on people! My iced tea sweetened with agave was the saving grace of my meal.

This is a great vegetarian spot for anyone who either is or isn’t a vegetarian. I eat meat, but I still eat at Earth Tonez once every week or so because it’s fresh, healthy, interesting(they’ve got new specials every week) and affordable. Like the other reviews say, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they seem to really want you to have a great meal. My personal favorite item would be the Red Velvet cake. All desserts at Earth Tonez are vegan, but you wouldn’t know it from tasting them. If you put their Red Velvet head-to-head with a slice of non-vegan cake, I’m pretty sure I’d choose the Earth Tonez slice in a second. All their cutlery/plates/containers are biodegradable. They really seem to care about the environment and the community, which is something I definitely appreciate.

I am excited to have another vegan-friendly café in Park Slope and am doubly excited that the food is actually good(which is a stab at V-Spot). The staff is extremely friendly and posi, which added to my meal. There’s room to sit down, but Earth Tonez seems especially good for takeout/delivery or just stopping by for a quick treat. The menu I picked up said that most items could be made vegan, but when I called they informed me that now *all* can be made vegan, which shows that they really have their customers in mind.

I almost gave this five stars, as it combines semi-health food with conscious dinning. I ordered take out from Earth Tonez, and it was very good. My vegan Five-Spice Burger was tasty and filling. It came with pickles, blue chips, which might have been made there as they were not as salty as store bought, and a homemade corn salsa. I love pickles, and hate that some places make their own and don’t steep them enough, Tonez’s pickles are probably made there but they were also flavorful. Considering the price, this meal was a heart portion and really fills the gap between Vegan food and Healthy food. Sourdough buns, fresh veggie salsa, and a warm burger patty made it taste and feel homemade. My favorite part of the meal was dessert. I got the Carrot Cake, which was moist and delicious. My sister got the Red velvet which would have been just as good, but the frosting was maybe too sweat for out taste. Something really great about Earth Tonez is that it uses bio-degradable packaging. We recycle like there is no tomorrow(mind the pun), but it certainly feels better to know that these plastics will actually disintegrates as they are made from seaweed and such.

Yay… another new veggie café in Brooklyn! Earth Tonez is a small café with just a couple of tables, and some bar-style seating. The menu is limited– with a focus on panini, salad, sandwiches, and juice. But for someone who has a very strictly vegan boyfriend, and prefers the omnivorous lifestyle herself– EarthTonez was a great happy medium. They’re vegetarian– which means they have real cheese, as well as vegan cheese. A few of us went there for a quick Sunday lunch yesterday– and it seemed like all were happy with the fresh salads, grilled panini sandwiches. Try the corn/tomato/edamame/avocado salad. Mmm.
