They were very attentive with the water refills. Everything we ordered came as expected/described. It all came crazy fast to our table from the second we handed the paper to the waitress, very impressive! Calamari was so-so, wasn’t a big fan of the batter. The mango kani salad, seaweed salad, gyoza, edamame, and assorted rolls were delicious. Price was pretty average for a Japanese ACYE restaurant. Left feeling just full enough and satisfied. Would come here again.

In my opinion this place is better than Sake, another AYCE sushi spot in Brooklyn. It’s a very reasonable price too. However, you do get what you pay for. The sushi a la carte is particularly small, but I guess that’s a good thing so you won’t over order. The pickled cucumber here doesn’t look as appetizing as other places because rather than cutting it into long pieces vertically, they thinly slice it horizontally, so it lacks in crunch. I ordered a mango kani salad but they mistaken it for a regular kani, which is okay, not that big of a deal. The pork gyozas weren’t fried enough so the skin wasn’t crispy. The beef in the soba was a bit mushy. All in all, I’d suggest sticking to the sushi selection and eat your money’s worth. The appetizers are lacking in quality.

Came here because I’ve heard it was decent food. It wasn’t as good as the one I usually go but it wasn’t so bad either. I was impressed with how much more options there were on the buffet menu compared to other places. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our food although we wish we didn’t over order. The chicken teriyaki was good but I wish the chicken was thinner. The sweet potato roll tasted cold like if it was sitting out for a while. The chicken tempura roll was really good as well as the shrimp tempura. The fried rice was filled with too much soy sauce and it was overpowering. The soda is fountain soda which explains why it’s free(it’s disgusting, I don’t recommend it). Paid $ 15 for 2 rolls leftover… I definitely prefer the sushi place in Bensonhurst…

Had to come here to try this Japanese Fusion AYCE sushi Restaurant. I came here with my sisters and we ordered lots of the special rolls, sushi A la Carte and appetizers. For $ 20.99 you can eat anything on the menu. Just remember no wasting food. Must eat everything or not customers must pay for the left over foods or rice. Comes with free water or soda. The food was good but not really that fresh. For AYCE this is expected. I was so full eating all these sushi. I highly do not recommend others to get the Uni from the sushi A La Carte section. It is not like the Uni you get elsewhere. Remember to make a reservation when coming here. This place gets really packed on the weekend. This place is easy to get to and the waitress are friendly. They also accept credit card. So remember to use your Chase Sapphire credit card. 2% cash back for restaurants. Overall a good AYCE sushi restaurant in NYC. Good restaurant for people who loves to eat sushi at a affordable price. This place is more affordable than other AYCE Japanese restaurants.

This sushi buffet is really good. I think their appetizers are better than their sushi honestly. They kimchi fried rice, pad Thai, kalbi, miso eggplant are my favorite. The sushi were ok

This spot used to be excellent but they dramatically went DOWNHILL recently. Not only did they increase their price, the portion size decreased significantly as well. In addition, even on a not-so-busy Sunday morning, the rolls will take like 40 mins to come to your table while the appetizers come out in seconds. Its not even a full house and they have 4 sushi chefs working but most tables are waiting for their sushi to come to their table rather than actually eating! Took 39 mins for two rolls to come out!!! This is most likely their new strategy used to limit customer from ordering/eating from their all-you-can-eat menu!!! Will definitely not come back again!!!

*I never had to reserve here because they’re never as packed as sake lol *it’s really neat to have a good ayce sushi near 8av for cravings + really cute and hipster décor + the proportion for appetizers is good except for the green salad lol it only had like 4 lettuce pieces + free soda, no more tap water for you +staff is attentive and always checks up on you to refill and clean table there were a few messups here and there — they didn’t give us wasabi, I had to ask for it — placed food down that we didn’t order — missed a few rolls that they probably placed on others’ tables +followed up on messed up orders right away

I have been there for 1st time, and compare to Sake AUCE in brooklyn as well. Daizen is much much better for the term of food, service, and price. This is will be the 1st choice for me if I want AUCE in brooklyn. Love you Daizen.

I came here last week because I went to sake before and this seems to have more good review. Anyway, for AYCE this place is ok. Not bad but not good either. The sushi roll, a lot of them seems to be missing tobiko and most of them have avocado which could make the sushi to taste the same and make me feel fed up after a while. For the rolls, we ordered: Botan roll — missing the crunch part there Double dragon — it’s ok can’t really taste any lobster 57th — it being deep fried make the rice tasted mushy. 8th ave — missing tobiko Spider roll — I had better Suiren roll — missing tobiko I don’t know about you but when I order roll I look at the ingredients, I liked the fact that they have tobiko but yet was very disappointed that it’s missing. I guess they were banking on people not noticing it. But I did. On the appz, we ordered: Mango kani salad — just like other reviews, there is no mango here. But not bad Seaweed salad — the usual Kalbi — YES order the kalbi, prolly the only thing I would recommend here. Haha Calamari — they tasted like mozzarella stick! What’s up with that batter? Takoyaki — yuck!!! Do not order this! I eat a lot of takoyaki from Japanese places and this one is gross. It’s not even cook at all inside. From the special we got the tako salad and the yellowtail. They were not bad. For the nigiri, we ordered eel, salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, spicy salmon. They were so small and the cut on the fish were so skinny. Not worth it. I even compared it to my chopstick, the fish prolly only about three times the width of the chopstick. Lol! Will I be back? Prolly not. Maybe for lunch if I can order the kalbi. Lol

Cozy environment. Good for kids. Pricing for lunch is decent, but the food was not really worth it. The a la carte sushi came with super thinly slice sashimi on top of rice. Description of my thin is that they are so thin and uneven that it was half cut and semi attached. Think of see through sashimi. Fried rice dish from appetizers came with a lot of rice but only two shrimp. I assume it’s because of the lunch pricing that it’s this bad so I gave it 3 stars. Flavor of everything is good though. For 12.99 a person, I would consider eating at another place or try their dinner instead.

Was in the area and the first restaurant that came to mind was Daizen. They impressed me with the quality of the food for a sushi buffet. This visit was no different. The seating arrangements of the tables were a little different than the last time i came here. They added some wall décor which made it looked better. The sushi rolls were fresh and came out pretty fast. They did forget a few items that i ordered but forgivable since i could order it again if i wanted. Some of the kitchen appetizers were good. Calamari were crispy and a good peppery seasoning. The takoyaki were warm and a nice chewy piece of octopus on inside. Overall, this is still my favorite AYCE sushi buffet. Fast service and good quality food. Only downside is the parking situation around the area.

Come here a lot with friends. One of the good sushi spots. The sashimi was pretty small pieces though. Wish they had bigger pieces. I usually come for apps too. Their Indonesia fried rice is pretty bomb. The rock shrimp and takoyaki was pretty good too! Overall I always have a good experience here. Sometimes the waitress are alittle rude but I guess they’re just busy because I come here like every week and they’re sometimes nice, sometimes rude. It really varies.

Yet another all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. Service was pretty quick, especially since the place was packed. My family made a reservation for tonight, because from a previous experience, the shortest time we’d have to wait for an open table was about an hour. I’m glad we made a reservation because once we got there, it was packed again as we expected. Their cooked food was kinda slacking; we got deep fried oysters and a few weren’t fully cooked. Their sushi, however, was delicious. Mango kani salad was really good, even though I couldn’t really taste any mango. They also give free soda, which a lot of places don’t do. The workers also refill it really quickly, but there were a few instances where we asked them for napkins, refills or even the bill, and they kinda got sidetracked but that’s okay because they did it immediately after we asked again. I would definitely come again whenever I have a craving for sushi.(probably 95% of the time)

Convenient place for sushi since it is around my neighborhood. I no longer need to travel to bay parkway for sake. Came here for lunch with a friend the other day and we both got the AYCE lunch for $ 12.99. The lunch menu has less options than the dinner menu, but it still had the basic sushi and rolls to satisfy our cravings. The quality of the sushi isn’t exactly the freshest I’ve had, but I didn’t expect much since the price was so cheap and the place is around 8th ave. The good thing about this place is that they don’t put a massive amount of rice in your rolls and sushi to make you full faster. I do wish they used japanese rice instead of regular jasmine rice though. Compared to my past experiences with eating around 8th ave, this place had good customer service. They immediately refilled my tea once it was half empty so my tea was always nice and hot. They were also quick with taking away our empty plates. The thing I was most grateful about was that they didn’t give us looks or attitude for staying for 3 hours. My friend and I had a lot to catch up on so didn’t realize that we were in there for so long. Overall, I would probably be coming here again since it’s so close to my house.

Worst all you can buffet. The wait staff does not know which rolls are which. Even though it’s all you can eat, they take a long tme for you to get your food. The tuna rolls taste so bad and the tuna does not look fresh and the color of the tuna is giving me a bad vibe. The odor stayed in my mouth after I try one. I can’t even eat the rest of that order. I will never come here again.

I came here for dinner, since my friend wanted AYCE sushi. This place is fairly new and much more spacious than Sake. For($ 19.99) dinner price, you get a lot of choices. They have lots of appetizers, special rolls, and a few special items to choose from. Also, you get free soda, but I prefer green tea with my sushi. We ordered a few appetizers and they were all great. I definitely liked the cheese ravioli, fried oyster, and avocado salad. I ordered the sashimi appetizer, sushi, and special rolls. The sashimi was pretty fresh and the cuts were thick. Their sushi has a little more rice to fish ratio, but just a little, so it’s not too bad. There are places that put way more rice. I would’ve given this place 5 stars, but the uni sushi was TERRIBLE. It had a bitter taste than sweet. The special rolls were great. I had the classic dragon roll(pretty much an eel roll with avocado on top), the salmon lover roll(a spicy salmon roll with salmon, avocado on top), the crazy California roll(a california roll with kani salad on top). Pretty much my favorite rolls are eel, California, and salmon. So I went with special rolls that had those components.

So… I didn’t die. Which is what I’m always afraid of when I try new AYCE sushi places in Brooklyn. I really only trust Sake, which isn’t that high of a bar to meet actually. The salmon and tuna here was pretty solid. I actually liked the cooked items on the menu more than the raw items. The ramen was solid(definitely not ramen joint good but delicious for a random restaurant on 8th Avenue). I really liked the tempura bananas — it was so good! I would definitely skip out on their«special» raw dishes. The tuna tataki was really gross…

This is my new favorite sushi joint as of yet. It’s close to me and it was empty when I went. My friend and I decided to go on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm. We were the only ones there when we enter and there were 3 tables filled when we left. The place is very spacious. Total of $ 25 per person including tip and tax for dinner. We ordered green tea and Sprite. I forgot to take a picture of the dinner checklist menu, it is different from the precious pictures that people uploaded to the Unilocal page photos. For appetizers, we got the Grilled Sanma, Salmon teriyaki, Fried Calamari, and Beef Negimaki. We were surprised with the portions of the appetizers. My friend ordered the umi and she liked it. She also got the Sashimi Appetizer special which is located at the bottom of the menu. You are only allowed to check 1 of the«specials» on the bottom grey box. And I got the naruto Tuna which is in the photo below. For the special roll we ordered the Suiren, Ayame, Botan, and I don’t remember the rest. This place exceed my expectations for an AYCE sushi joint. Food came really quick and the servers were attentive.

Not many things in life do I eagerly jump outta bed for — unless it is for ALLYOUCANEATSUSHI! My old coworker was telling me that he and his girlfriend have come here multiple times, and said it was totally worth it; especially if it’s $ 12.99! I was skeptical at first, but thought to take the plunge! We were literally the only non-Asians in the whole place when we showed up at 1:30PM on Sunday. The staff was very nice and seated us at a booth right in front of an «Employees Only» door. I guess they don’t use this too much. They were very quick to ask what we wanted to drink, since soda is bottomless for the all you can eat option. Be warned — stick to water so you’ll have more room to eat! Sip slowly! One star was removed because every time we ordered, we only got about 80% of what we marked down, which was a little annoying. This place is a total solid 4 stars because the sushi was extremely fresh and wasn’t loaded with rice like other places so you get full more quickly. So, what’s the catch? You can only park yourself there for a maximum of 2 hours. Not bad though! Pick from a whole bunch of appetizers, soups, and even special rolls like rainbow, dragon, and spicy kani! These rolls alone can really rack up the coin at any other sushi joint. Really great and worth every penny! We WILL be seeing you very soon, Daizen. Better have more than four people behind the sushi bar when we come next time!

My new replacement of Sake, Space is not as crowded and the waitress are all very nice and they also provide soda. The dinner have special varieties that other sushi buffet don’t have like Kalbi, spicy green mussel, pad Thai and others. I would come on regular bases !
