I was looking for a place to get keys copied. They were priced more then I thought I should have to pay. I was beginning to think that I’d never find a place. I just happened to be in Flatbush on another matter. As I was going back home noticed the hardware store. the sign on the window said we also make automobile keys. On a hunch decided to go in and ask how much the proprietor charged. He said about $ 1.50. I said Okay. He asked me how many keys I wanted. I said 3, One for the door to the building, one for the mail box and one for the apartment. I expected them to look like keys did in the past, but they were almost exact duplicates of my original keys. The price came to $ 4.25 plus tax which made it $ 4.64, which is a good deal. He asked me if there was anything else. I looked for and reached out for a card with his business information on it, and said this, indicating the card. I thanked him and left. When I arrived home tried the keys, which worked perfectly. He was nice, which is rare.

I had to purchase Candelabra light bulbs and paid a visit to this Hardware Store. When I asked the owner (whose name allegedly is Sam) for them, he retorted, «Do you understand English?» I said yes (apparently, I can construct a cogent sentence too). He then apologized. I proceeded to leave his store. Sorry, but if you don’t treat me with any dignity don’t expect me to spend my hard earned money with you. Your attitude tells me eons about you. Thankfully there are other options in the 11 230 neighborhood.

So glad I found them! Moved to the neighborhood recently, checked out all the local hardware stores, these guys had everything I needed. And Sam, the owner was very helpful and kind!

This place is fantastic. The owner is incredibly nice and will help you find anything you need. Prices are also good. It’s a small store, so the selection is a bit limited, but on the other hand, he has stuff I couldn’t even get at Home Depot (including a one-​way screw remover!), so that’s a big plus. Great for anything you might need in a pinch. They even cut down a couple of screws for me without charging! (They are open until 4 on Friday and they are open Sundays. Not sure about Saturdays.)
