Oops! So sorry, I wrote too soon. There is still a café in this location with a new name and owner. Their soy latte was decent. They still carry a few Cookie Road items including my favorite vegan raspberry muffin. I dropped in for that, wondered why they’d hired a new barista, and didn’t realize it was a new place. I still love the location but I’m wondering if Cookie Road is still operating at their other location or not? There seems to be no record of it on Unilocal or googlemaps except for an image of their storefront at 659 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY11222. Hoping it’s still there! … This place is NOT closed! I was just there yesterday! It looks like they’ve opened a second location, but so far this one is still there. Great vegan muffins, cookies, and one vegan sandwich. The new larger location may have more vegan options but I haven’t checked it out yet. Also their expresso drinks are as good as my favorite nyc cafes even though the baked goods are their primary focus. I hope this smaller location remains open because it’s my favorite outdoor seating in Greenpoint.

Cookie Road is a cute little* bake shop with a little bit of everything inside. Bars, cookies, tarts… and macarons! Beautifully colored and flavored macarons for only $ 1.50 each! Which is darnright cheap for NYC… When you go — be sure to try the following: Pistachio Almond — which had superb pistachio flavor. Nutty green goodness with a dense & creamy filling. Yum! Raspberry Rose — I don’t know what part was raspberry and what was rose but I don’t even care — these flavors blended so beautifully together. The macaron was fruity and floral but certainly didn’t taste like I was eating a flower. The filling was so light and fluffy too. Be sure to visit during your next stroll down Franklin Ave in Greenpoint. *When I say ‘little’ I mean it. There’s room for, like, two people inside. Outside on the other hand — there are several benches and tables with chairs to sit and enjoy your treats.

This place takes the cookie to a whole new level! I walked in and was greeted right away by the bright colored cookies. It took me a second to to take all the other sweets in but I was glad I did because if I didn’t then I wouldn’t have known how great their grasshopper bar tasted. Not only did I get that but I also got a small elephant cookie as well as a pistachio macaroon. The staff was very friendly and patient while I took my time looking at the display cases filled with treats. I will defiantly be back for more!

I had such an amazing cup of coffee at cookie road. So good that I’ll never forget about it. I agree with other reviewers in that their cookies are on the overpriced side. The cookies were good but that coffee was fantastic!

Great little Shop for a coffee and cookie and the mint green iced tea my daughter says kicks ass. The woman behind the counter was nice as pie.

Weak iced coffee, but four stars solely for their plain croissant. Have never tried anything else from here, but their croissants are A+. Buttery, flaky, great crisp crust, soft on the inside. One time i went in there and they didn’t have any but I spied two in a little case behind the counter, but they refused to sell me one because they were a day old. They also give small discounts on smaller specimens. A+ quality and dedication to the croissant religion.

Definitely a bit overpriced but I like that a regular coffee is $ 2.75 regardless of size. I haven’t tried anything else in terms of drink options other than the Americano and that changed my life. I’ve have the mint chocolate fudge bar-amazing but overpriced for the size and the guava cheese pastry which was alright. I made the mistake of ordering a large Americano and it was as diluted as a fast food restaurant coffee, at the time I went on a Sunday, which had a different barista than usual, so either it was her or the size difference. But, overall, on every visit, the staff has been very very friendly and helpful. But, I’d recommend at least for the Americano. It’s also just ignited my search for coffee shops. It’s great having a nice cup of coffee.

This place is hilariously overpriced. I got a dinosaur sugar cookie and a ginger molasses cookie. 7 dollars. Yes that’s right, two cookies for 7 dollars. What a steal. Adding insult to injury, the cookies were just okay.

Just visited here with my fiancée on Unilocal’s recommendation and was very disappointed. For their name, they lack a solid cookie selection. It was very linked to sugar and gingerbread. I orders three sugar heart shaped cookies with icing(the small ones) which cost me $ 2.50. Very expensive for such a small item. Also the cookies and icing were VERY bland and kind of hard. I left very disappointed and my sweet craving was not satisfied. My fiancée seemed to like his coffee despite it being too hot to drink for almost a full ten minutes after leaving. That’s ok. Perhaps the worst of all was the awkwardness of the counter clerk. She did not smile, greet us when we walked in, and seemed very weary of our presence(for lack of a better word). The whole encounter was VERY strange. Probably won’t be visiting again.

The animosity between customers and staff is mutual here, and was initiated for no reason by the cashier on my visit. No harm, no foul, as the salted caramel dark chocolate bar with peanuts was below mediocre so I certainly have no reason to return.

Reasons I love Cookie Road: Great staff, yummy mochas, reliably good sandwiches(my fav has to be the salami), and delicious snacks. I go for the sea salt macaron or guava & cheese pastry!

tried all the macaroons and they’re pretty good(cheap too compared to the rest of NYC) and their chocolate peanut butter«brick» is very dense and rich in peanut butter fudge it seems. So why the 3 stars as opposed to 4 or 5? Some items may not be freshly baked as whatever they don’t end up selling it gets brought back out for the next day — so just a heads up in case you may suspect something lol

Cookie road is a true Greenpoint Gem. They don’t have wifi but I use my hot spot and get some work done, dog by my side. The espresso is so delicious, even a simple iced americano. LOVEIT! They don’t have many gluten free options but when I go, and I go a lot, I always get the gluten free peanut butter cookie. Even for non g-free peeps, it is simple and perfect. Truly a neighborhood spot. I love to sit outside and chill. Great spot for any time of day.

Delicious sweet treats. A nice variety from linzers to lemon tarts. The kids love the hand decorated sugar cookies.

never been a macaroon fan, their chai tea disappoints, and the cookie selection is underwhelming for the name of the place BUT! GUAVAANDCHEESEPASTELITOS ALFAJORES YESYESYES both compete with the ones I used to love living in Miami

Cherry macaroon is a must try! Outstanding! The cookies are too cute not to get one! Duckies! Get the linzer cookie to share with one of their amazing iced coffees or iced teas! You will not be disappointed! Just get out and get some sweets and head to the park on a beautiful spring day it’s so worth it!

Ironically, the best thing I’ve had at Cookie Road is the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar($ 3.50). In all fairness to their cookies though, this bar is exceptionally good. Plus, I have a major addiction to peanut butter. It is kept chilled, so it is quite hard and extremely dense. There is a crunchy layer of nuts and other bits on the bottom, followed by an impressively thick layer of really rich peanut butter, topped at last by a fudgey layer of milk chocolate. This is a major must try here. On a few visits, I have also tried some of the cookies, which are pretty good, but not as great as you would hope from a place named Cookie Road. I think their thing might be the beautifully-decorated sugar cookies, which look amazing. I’m more of a chocolate guy though, so I’ve never actually tried those. They also have decent coffee here and a few tables and benches out front for enjoying your treats, as the store itself is tiny with room enough for just a few people. If the seats out front are all occupied, there is a nice park around the corner where you can sit and enjoy your sweets. This is one of the best places for cookies in Greenpoint aside from Ovenly, so I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the area.

Nothing special. Had some bitter espresso and my friend had a hot chocolate that wasn’t good. The cookie was ok but tasted like it could have been baked a few days before. My friend did like his pistachio macaroon.

Very friendly staff. Charming ambiance with eclectic music. Some outdoor seating and small window seating inside. Not cheap at $ 3 per cookie, but everything we ate was yummy. Definitely get a macaroon!

Came here on a whim even though I’ve passed by this place hundreds of times. Finally a casual bike ride back to Astoria it finally felt right to stop and scope it out. They have very prominent signage on the building but when you actually walk in the place is tiny. So if you’re looking for a place to chill out this is not our place. Since we were coming in right as they were closing there wasn’t much variety to chose from but we finally settled on the ginger cookies. The cookie was very large, very soft, and had real pieces of ginger in it. It was a damn good cookie and I’ll give them another try when I have a hankering for sweets.
