Four-hour wait for bowling lane! $ 5 shoe rental not included in lane fee. Food is good but there are other places nearby to get better Fried Chicken. Outrageous prices. We will not be back.

I just love this place! Went to a concert — the sound was great, plenty of space, amazing drinks. Super!

Awful… Especially the ‘manager’- A friend was coming on a bus just to see the band tonight — I came earlier with friends — AND I ASKEDTOBUYMYFRIEND A TX — they said I didn’t need to — and they assured me they would not sell out… Fast forward to when she arrived… SOLDOUT!!! I offered to have her take my place and they wouldn’t even do that. She came here just to see that band and they were so unhelpful and unwelcoming… I’ll spend my money elsewhere — and so will all the people I came with. 10 people walked out because they wouldn’t allow 1 person in when they assured us she would be fine. None of us saw any music and We all paid money for nothing… The manager was awful — mean, inconsiderate, power trippy jerk. They wouldn’t keep their word and that’s just an unreliable business that I want no part of ever again… Put a really bad taste in my mouth and feel like myself and all my friends who walked out because of this should be refunded in full… But again this is a very unreliable business and I won’t hold my breath…

Came here yesterday with my girlfriends and we had a nice time. The Bowl Burger is delicious, the fries were just ok. The service was great and while we had a bit of a wait for a lane, it was a nice time overall!

Four hour wait for bowling. We had to pay $ 50 for tickets for us to get in to find this out. We didn’t know the bands. Maybe we can eat and drink for four hours. There’s a three hour wait to do that. Why even let that many people in. This place gets one star for the above. It gets one star for its potential. It gets two stars. They didn’t give us our admission fees back.

Come for the bands not the bowling. I went for GlobalFest to see all the great bands that night. The cover wasn’t too bad considering there was a good line up of music. And my friends and I decided we could bowl and still enjoy the bands. To bowl its stupid expensive and charged by time and not games so you better be quick. But no one told us this when we were signing up and getting shoes. So after we got drinks, changed shoes and got organized we realized our timer was already going. When we very politely spoke with the manager and explained our confusion he told us point blank that he thought we were lying. Wow he could have thought that but certainly didn’t need to say it. If we knew we were paying for the lane when we weren’t using it, trust me we would have started sooner. So if money is of no object, you really love to bowl and dick managers don’t bother you, then by all means. Otherwise just come for the live music.

Overall a fantastic venue, except the bar setup along only 1 wall that takes forever to get a beer. Great bands and live music … and the fried catfish is monstrous and delish. Despite the positive aspects of this place, the attitude of most of the staff ruins the experience. From the door guy to the slow ass coat check to ignorant bowling list bitch and don’t get me started on getting a table to eat. After finishing a meal and requesting another round of drinks as we declined dessert the waiter says we aren’t welcome to sit if we’re not eating. Wtf. Typical hipster attitude from some of the staff thinking and acting like they’re too cool for school. Go early and put your name down if you actually want to bowl. Bring a flask. Jeez.

Huge Fan!!! This is a great spot, aside from being at ground zero of hipsterland, to bowl and drink. The music here, from 90s grunge, classic rock, to motown, is pretty awesome. The alley is clean and appears to be in great condition(most of the shoes are pretty new). Since the bowling alley is in close proximity to Brooklyn Brewery, the place has an EXCELLENT variety of beers and liquors. The service was pretty good. Actually there was an issue with our order and the waiter comp’d our drinks for us, which was really cool of him. For a Saturday afternoon it took about 1.5 hours to get a lane. I take it because there were a lot of children there because we bowled in Jan 2nd. So getting there earlier around 1pm would be your best bet for getting a lane in a reasonable amount of money time.

A good alternative if you can’t get in to the Brooklyn Brewery which seems to be the case every time I attempt to get a tour. Very cool décor and a delicious hot spiced cider for $ 8. It definitely helped to have some Motown Classics playing in the background. I came to Brooklyn Bowl with some friends visiting from Miami. They were looking forward to the beer and hip atmosphere, although they still had a good selection of Brooklyn Brews they felt the venue lacked in diversity. The price to bowl was a whopping $ 25 for 30 minutes. No thank you! In any case we enjoyed our one drink and kept it moving. I have attended a Talib Kweli concert here once and it was a great music venue but not much of a great hangout spot.

Really great spot if you never been… Sometimes the wait is super long but if you time it out right you should be fine. For example the weekends during the day especially during Christmas time it’s not as busy, however as the day continues it will eventually get more crowded but 1 – 2 time frame is great especially if you want to day drink and then just bar hop after. If you go at night it’s also great since if you get drunk munchies the food choices are top notch. I recommend the Mac and cheese, nachos and French fries. The fried calamari was just okay, but I wouldn’t order it again.

This spot really captures the true essence of Brooklyn. The hipsteresque vibes and flair of this venue truly embodies NYC. I went here on a Thursday night. DJ? Quest Love of the Roots was spinning nothing but Neptune’s/N.E.R.D/Pharrell produced hits that night. It really took me and my homie back. Alot of college crowds out cutting a rug on the not so much of a dance floor. There was picnic table seating and lots of floor space. This place is a huge warehouse loft with a garage feel. Ideal for the shows and concerts that go down. We grabbed a couple of Brooklyn Brews on tap. I was pretty done by the end of the night but my alcohol consumption evaporated the more I danced. Definitely a great venue to get together with old friends to dance, EAT, drink and bowl. I hate bowling, so I love that this venue features SOMUCHMORE. I didn’t sample the eats, but… I’ll be back like Arnold.

I came to Brooklyn Bowl about two months ago for my boyfriends birthday, and again, this weekend for my girlfriends Bachelorette. Both nights were great. The various music acts I’ve seen there has always been«on point»,(one time was the Burlesque show, definitely worth going to!). Within the two times I’ve visited, I’ve had the french fries, the mac and cheese, the hummus platter and the wings. My favorite is hands down the mac and cheese! Must. GET. The service was great and the staff really catered to our party. The only discrepancy was for our bachelorette party, tip wasn’t included, however for the birthday night with just me and my boyfriend it was… a little odd… Must go, especially for a special occasion!

Came here for a free event, so I can’t attest to the prices of drinks and bowling. Overall, I really enjoy this venue. The music is great; the food is decent and the bowling lanes are well maintained. The frozen margarita is pretty good! I’ve never had an issue here.

Came here on a rainy Saturday and not gonna lie, this place is big. When you first walk in, you can see the food section that serves fried chicken and when you wander in more, you find yourself in the giant concert room which is shared with the bowling alley. I came here on a not-so-crowded day so I appreciated the space. I would say that if you come here for bowling on a weekend night, expect to wait for an eternity. I think we waited for two and a half hours before giving up and got the fried chicken instead, and I don’t regret it to be frank. I was in a group of 6 and we ordered the 16 piece Mix Fried Chicken Platter. It was amazing. Well seasoned, nicely fried. They came right out of the fryer because as we grabbed for the chicken, we had to immediately let go before it burned our fingers off. The service was also super nice and tried to be quick in serving us. We also go the pigs in a blanket, mashed potatoes and some mac and cheese. Excellent picks. Everything was fresh and hot. Really good food to eat while drinking a beer.

Fan of bowling and I like some of the bands they have preforming– Great selection of music– Different sense out of the ordinary. They have a lot of weird rules; i saw my friend that was in the bowling lane and I wanted to say hi but I wasn’t allowed since I didn’t get a bracelet yet. But rules are rules. The place is very expensive, be prepared to pay a pretty penny for a good night. The place is very crowded so also be prepared to get bumped into a little; so if this isn’t your thing and get pissed off when other people touch you DONOTCOME! Over all its a lot of fun! Try to go at least once. The food is also great!

I came here on a Thursday night to do a photography shoot for the show«Gene Ween Plays Billy Joel» for Live For Live Music. What a really cool venue. Bowling, food, bar with a good selection and concert venue all in one! Good size venue and very cool place to hang out, even during a weeknight. Highly recommend. P. S. On a personal note, I am very allergic to cigarettes & it’s not often I get to stay long at concerts. in fact I often skip them since it’s to be expected at a Rock concert. I was so happy to find a place that was not loaded with smoke, there wasn’t any actually. Just in case you have the same issues I do.

I had soooo much fun here!!! I was about to go to bed and my friend woke me up around 11:00pm to say come on we’re going to Brooklyn Bowl. Me thinking it was just your regular old bowling alley was confused, but always up for an adventure. First off it’s not a normal bowling alley. Silly me. It was Thursday night and DJ Questlove was spinning. I guess I should mention before that there was also a Billy Joel impersonator there everyone seem to love. Lol I love the fact the event was advertised as a hip hop/soul night. Ratchet music was play’d the whole time while old clips of soul train play’d on the tv. I guess I should also mention besides the huge dance floor there really are bowling lanes. Not sure how much it cost to bowl. I enjoyed my sangria and not sure how much either cause of the sweet guy that took care of my drinks that night(not sure of your name but thank you :) all in all great time and I would love to come back. P. s…security staff was extra sweet. They made me feel welcome and special :)

Oh Brooklyn Bowl, how I love thee. I want to stand on a mountain top and proclaim my admiration for you, but in the meantime this review will have to do. Where else can you eat delectable blue ribbon fried chicken, drank BK brewery’s finest concoctions and rock out to of some of the greatest names in music to date all while bowling and having a dance party with friends. I REALLY like it here(if ya can’t already tell). I’m partial to the Jam band scene and there’s usually about 1 – 2 big industry names that make appearances every month. Perhaps my fave thing about BK bowl is that every artist they bring in has talent. Even if there are no household names on the night’s roster, these folks are selective about who they bring in and there is never a shortage of talent. Be prepared to pay cover(it’s worth it) — a smaller act is usually between 5 – 10 bucks and a larger band won’t cost more then 25 – 30. The acoustics and overall layout of the venue are on point — if you prefer to hang back and avoid the crowd that clusters at the front then you’ll still have a fine concert experience. The best view of the show is from the bowling area, but you only have access if you’ve payed for bowling. It costs something like 30 dollars per half hour which can get expensive fast. There’s usually a really long wait to bowl too. Contrary to the name, bowling is usually my least favorite part of the experience. I would much rather drink a BK blast and rock out to some of my favorites here. Whatever experience you choose, BK bowl has a little something for everyone. Their summer concert calendar is filling up fast and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until I make an appearance there again.
