Abi Sushi

This is a fake restaurant. Google street view the address and you’ll see it’s a laundromat.

Everything was just okay, except for the mocha ice cream. That was so freezer burnt it was inedible.

Waiting 50+ minutes for food that is 3 blocks away on a dead night is kind of ridiculous. The restaurant won’t answer the phone either so I can cancel the order and sleep. It doesn’t even need to be cooked, I ordered sashimi. Not cool. :/

Decent takeout. I’ve ordered from here twice now and they have delivered within the given time frame.
Rice: could have been more flavored with rice vinegar, salt, sugar. I do like the brown rice substitution for .50 a roll though. If you had forbidden rice as well, I would be your girl, every Sunday. :)
Fish: fresh as far as I can tell (I usually just get tuna and eel at these sort of joints and save the uni/​etc for more gourmet places). Decent fish-​to-​rice ratio.
Misc: the avocado is ripe (pet peeve when it it isn’t), they didn’t give me extra eel sauce on the side when I asked for it… And I don’t believe there is an option to purchase extra sauce either. Boo.

We were trying to order sushi from Shinji, but I didn’t see anything that had a special for two rolls.
So A suggested we should check out another spot and before I know it, Abi was the place that we were going to order for our super late dinner.
We got the Sushi For Two 18 pieces sushi & court street roll that comes with two salads.
When A chose that entrée, I said are you sure, since I don’t like all the sushi they give you.
A said, if I don’t eat it, A would eat it — so A ate all the mackerel and other white fish that were too fishy for me.
The court street roll was beautiful, but it wasn’t really spicy — I wish they would put more jalapeño flavour in this roll rather than just decorate the roll with a sliver of jalapeño slice.
