Great peets shop. Staff is great and Barrista Paul remembers your name and what your regular order is. That’s customer service! And of course we love peets coffee!

Gave this location a few chances before writing a review. It’s usually not hard to find a seat here, so sometimes I end up coming here because Starbucks is full. But Starbucks staff make consistent smalltalk and act professionally and attentively. This Peet’s location is another kettle of fish entirely. My experience here has been pretty consistently rude service – college kids acting like they’re doing you a huge favor. Politeness and smalltalk does not get you better service – it just results in a simple black coffee being forgotten until you become like them.

Used to be great. Today, the store is dilapidated, often loud, and unpleasant. They have cut corners such as using cheaper paper for takeaway cups. Not customer friendly. A truly unpleasant environment. Their choice of music seems to be what employees happen to prefer rather than creating a welcoming or relaxing environment. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Last 3 times I have been in they didn’t have regular roast brewed, and told me it was a 5 minute process, and then forced dark roast down my throat. Also, cups are super leaky. Inevitably have a dry cleaning bill after leaving here.

Worst Peet’s ever. First they refused to put honey in our matcha because it would«ruin their blender» every single other Peet’s had no problem blending in the honey no matter what I told them, they said«no» I did this in many Peet’s in California, Oregon, and even other Peet’s here in Boston. If we put it in ourselves, it won’t blend because of the ice. They’re not friendly by any means, the staff members that day were just not meant to work in something like this. The girl at the cashier was asking me «where are u from?» In which I replied«California» she said«no, I heard you speak in Arabic, my dad is Arabic.» She was saying this with the worst attitude because she heard my sister complain in Arabic. She kept rolling her eyes, too. The man and curly haired woman who make drinks also were extremely rude and giving us attitude. Very unprofessional. We were friendly the whole time. They also gave us the wrong size. We didn’t want to complain about that, because we didn’t want to cause a problem because they were just so rude to us. We now always go to the other Peet’s in Brookline. So much better! I would recommend them! This was around 2 or 3 on September 13. Never going back to that Peet’s again!

I really like Peet’s Coffee! I like it better than Starbucks. The reason I give this location 3 stars is because of the terrible and old condition of the shop itself. If I am spending 5 dollars on my coffee then your shop should be clean and updated. This place has been around forever and they do not get cheaper so I do think they owe it to the neighborhood to update it and put more plugs around the place for people who have computers. It is really embarrassing in comparison to how Starbucks looks. The coffee itself is always good and the staff is mostly friendly and nice. So in the end if you care about the ambiance than this is def not a hit but if you want good coffee I recommend Peet’s Coffee.

If not for the Peet’s Coffee sign on the door I would have thought I walked into a Starbucks. Similar furniture, drinks, and lack of space just like Starbucks. I came here on a late Sunday morning and got a regular coffee. The coffee was decent and the service was quick. Very few places to sit. I would come here again if the Starbucks nearby was too crowded.

Sweet, sweet Peet’s Coffee and Tea. I went to you first! I used to live in Coolidge Corner and returned for a meeting. I thought Peets would be nice — I prefer it to Starbucks if I’m going corporate and it’s spacious. I was very very very disappointed — like disappointed enough that I moved to the Starbucks next door. I must preface my grievances with the staff rating. They were great! This review goes directly towards the owner/management/etc. — Walls: it’s literally falling apart. Paint chipping and staining, it looks like the place had a flood. I also wonder when it was they last did a deep clean. I know counter tops and floors are usually what you clean, but a dirty wall is unsightly and unsanitary. — Bugs: Fruit flies everywhere. I killed at least 10 and overheard a woman return her drink because a bug was in it. It makes you question where they’re coming from — what you’re not seeing… — Trash: I was there early, before 10am, and the trashes were all full. This one does fall on staff — empty that trash! — Music: I asked the staff if the played music. They said YES! we must have forgotten. A few minutes later the speakers crackled and that was it. Fix your system! — Wifi: TERRIBLE. I couldn’t load Unilocal to write this review! Free isn’t always great when it doesn’t actually work… Basically Peets, you need to get it together. It’s time for a facelift, because the place is — I’m sorry to say — a DUMP!

Great location– never too busy but always busy enough. The folks here are nice and fast with your order. I’ve never tried baked goods from Peet’s but they also look great(actually quite better than Starbucks, though I prefer Starbucks for beverages and in general). p. s. I JUST saw the Unilocal pic advertising their«dirty chai latte» which has a shot of espresso– wow, that sounds interesting and amazing!

Tried out this place since I hear they have good coffee. Service was slow and indifferent. Perhaps I’m used to cheerful baristas, especially from your neighbourhood coffee place. The upholstery on the chairs are in dire need of upgrading and the tables are not clean. Coffee was ok and pastry was normal.

Every morning I begin my day with a small dark roast, double-cupped. The coffee is always fresh, and the«Peets Family» is expert at refined morning chit chat. The shop is meticulously maintained, with a beautiful pastry case. For those who enjoy the barista beverages, Paul and the team turn out cappuccinos with great flair. It is a great way to begin your day!

Nothing beats Peet’s iced tea! Do yourself a favor in these last days of summer and come here for some refreshing beverages! I think it’s hard to find cafes with good iced tea choices, even the smaller cafes — they are always disappointing, especially in their herbal selections. What I like is that Peet’s has fantastic taste in their menu! Both options are sweetened, but not overly sweet: –Hibiscus Breeze Tea Cooler –Jasmine Lime Tea Cooler I usually have a hard time deciding between the two! If you’re looking for unsweetened, they’ll brew whatever flavor you choose(it takes 5 minutes though). I’m also a huge fan of their iced mochas — smooth, creamy, and heavenly. Service is typically friendly and fast. Not much seating here, but I will always choose Peet’s over Starbucks.

Oh, Peets. You are simply delightful and I wish you had seating available more often. You help me hone my predatory table-hunting skills, but sometimes I just want to walk in, order my chai tea, and sit down without worry. You really emphasize that most good things are worth the wait. I always get a lot of work done at Peets, and it’s also a nice place to meet up and catch up with a friend. The staff is really friendly — and oh gosh, their chai tea is wonderful!

Coffee is the same as the joint in Lexington, however the service was lacking. The barista/s always seems nice and friendly but the cashiers are the ones who disappoint. The cashiers need to go through some customer service training or something.

Friendliest barista in Jason who is super knowledgeable on not just the brewed coffees and beans they serve but also on the various brewing devices they sell! Am making a point to stop here and grab a cup of amazing Peets coffee every time I’m in the area. Am definitely a fan!

I have never heard of this chain of coffee shops(even though I have been to California a few times) until a lady I recently met suggested to me that we should meet up to talk and hang out at this place. I agreed. I went to the nice and quiet community of Brookline and walked in. Since she was not there when I arrived, I found a table for two, put my stuff down, sent an SMS to the lady I was supposed to meet, and waited for a couple of seconds. While I was waiting, I decided to get some coffee and a snack. I ordered a small Vanilla Latte and a croissant. It was probably the most expensive coffee and snack I had at a total of $ 6.26, but it gave me enough energy for the rest the afternoon. The croissant was probably the most mediocre croissant I had in a while. It was a little rough to chew and had some staleness, probably from being on the tray for a while. However, the Vanilla Latte was probably one of the best coffee drinks I had in a while. I really liked the warm and somewhat sweet creaminess. I was glad I did not had to wait too long for my coffee. By the time my coffee was ready, the lady I was waiting for arrived, which was less than 5 minutes. She had some tea, and she seemed to enjoy it but said to me that the tea bags made the flavor a little strong or something like that. Although I really enjoyed my coffee after several sips, I was more engrossed in my somewhat spiritual conversation with the lady. Overall, this is not a bad place to get some decently good coffee in the nice and quiet community of Brookline. It is also not bad place if you really want to make an appointment with only one person. It is probably one of the very few cafes that I would go just for the coffee and not for the food. Hopefully, if I ever return to the best state in the USA, which is California, maybe this chain can serve better coffee and food.
