Long story, short, food was average at best and the service was awful. We had reservations but, when we arrived, we were told they didn’t have space and we’d have to wait about 15 minutes(wait without reservations was an hour). This wasn’t a big deal by itself, but things didn’t get better. We were seated and our waiter walked by our table and said he’d be with us in a few minutes. After about ten minutes, he returned to take our drink orders. It took another ten minutes to get our drinks(two waters, a soda, and a margarita) and the soda was wrong. He brought a new soda to the table about five minutes later, by which time I had drank my water. He took our orders and we didn’t see him back until after the manager-type person delivered our food to the table. In the meantime, we’re watching every table around us get refreshed on drinks and have complimentary bread delivered. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. I was looking as I sat with an empty water glass for about 20 minutes until our food came out. My wife asked the manager-type person for bread when he dropped our meals at the table. He said, «Sure, we can get you more bread.» My wife quickly corrected him that we hadn’t received any bread to that point. The manager-type person also refreshed our drinks. Our waiter came back just a minute after our food was delivered and drinks were refreshed to ask if there was anything else we needed. We told him we were set at that point and he didn’t come back until it was time to drop off the bill. The food was average. I got the fishermen’s platter that features Sam Adams breading. The fish was nicely done but the shrimp and scallops were way over-breaded. The fries lacked any sea salt flavor at all like the description says. The best part of my meal was the hush puppies. My father-in-law had the fish and chips with the same breading and only said, «I’ve had much better.» My mother-in-law got the shrimp and chips and complained of the amount of breading as well. My wife had the cedar-plank maple-brown sugar trout and said it was really good. The portion sizes were pretty large. If this was a $ 10-$ 15 per meal type place, I’d probably give it two stars and another chance. When we’re throwing down a minimum of $ 20 a meal and the service is that bad, I just can’t justify giving it another chance.

Very good food. Service A+ Had twin lobster tails, red skin mashed potatoes and asparagus cooked to perfection. Higher end on prices but worth it. Will be back soon.

Is a favorite for seafood! Have always had a good meal and think it has a nice atmosphere. It is definitely a favorite place for me! My favorites are shrimp and lobster, and the appetizers have always been so good.

A wonderful sea food place. The meals are tasty and have always been cooked to perfection. Shanghai style is definitely something to try. Mitchell’s also has an excellent selection of drinks, from Martini’s to fine wines. On a side note, the bread they serve at the beginning of a meal is awesome.

The food was good and that’s a good start. But the customer service by the sales manager and waitstaff made this a great place. I had made reservations to take my staff of 9 out to lunch at a nearby restaurant. When we arrived they didn’t have our reservation(they use an old journal so shouldn’t be surprised they lose stuff). After being told it would be an hour wait I jumped on Unilocal for help. And found Mitchell’s. Gave them a call. And got great customer service. The manager answered the phone and got us right in plus found a few bottles of sparkling cider for us to make a toast. It wasn’t on the menu. When we got there he showed us to a table and even comped appetizers to make up for bad customer service from a totally different unrelated restaurant. He took ownership of the entire restaurant hospitality industry. He helped turned a stressful experience into a pleasure. While parking was hard because it’s at the mall — I would recommend Mitchell’s to everyone. If the owners read this they should applaud their team.

Had late lunch on Saturday then shopping in mall. First time there. Chris and I had wine and appetizer of sheared calamari which waitress said no problem. It was deep fried on menu. It was done just right. Then fish tacos and their lobster and shrimp BLT roll. Both good and in line price wise. We did spend more probably then planned but we took home enough for two meals. It is not your fast food place, but it is sea food items and good fish costs. Well we could had opt out of the $ 9.00 a glass for wine, but it made the meal. All staff attentive; not busy but off meal time; quiet except for one young man not happy, but crying stopped. You can feel okay to bring kids along for special meal; lots of room and many booths. Nice looking bar with tables to eat in bar an option. We are from out of town, if in area will stop again.

It baffles me how this place has 4 stars and perhaps, it speaks to the quality of restaurants in suburban Milwaukee. It was about an hour from when we sat down to when our food arrived and the place wasn’t even that busy. Our appetizer was the seared tuna which came out covered in this think overbearing sauce — you could barely taste the fish. I got The Perfect Pair, which was crab stuffed shrimp and more crab on lobster. The shrimp was actually pretty dried out and the crab was crusty on top(in a bad way). The whole thing had an unsettling fishy taste. The lobster was pretty tough and the flavor just ok but again, covered in this old grey colored crab. Blech.

I went here at the recommendation of a colleague on a Tuesday. The décor is not surprisingly nautical, and the space is quite large, it was almost empty when we were there. To be fair we did get there on the earlier side for dinner. We split an appetizer of calamari which was just OK, nothing special. For my entrée I had Cajun jambalaya which was lacking flavor. Additionally, the shrimp I received with my entrée was just OK and the fish part of the entrée was overcooked. I may sound harsh with this review, but I grew up on the east coast and eat seafood all the time. If I were in a pinch I’d consider returning here, but otherwise given options I’d probably go somewhere else.

This is one of our favorite seafood restaurants in Waukesha county and we have had some very good experiences. The Happy Hour menu has many great food and drink choices. For our dinners we have had great service and food with good consistency. We came here for my daughter’s birthday and they provided the 4 of us with personalized menus. Each menu read«Happy Birthday Jacqueline» on the top and she received her choice of a complementary dessert. This is a fine dining restaurant and hence, if you are looking for cheap, you should probably go to Mickey D’s across the street. Thank you for reading my review.

I had the perfect pair(stuffed lobster and stuffed shrimp) and it was great. However, our order was all jacked up LOL I didn’t get my asparagus, my coworkers didn’t get their sides(potatoes were wrong, one was missing his pico de gallo topping) but the Flavors were goooooood. The waitress fixed our order quickly. It was a great experience.

Living in the Midwest, I’m pretty inexperienced when it comes to all the different types of fish. They have so many different types of fish to choose from and different styles of preparing them as well, making for a diverse menu. I decided to go with their special chili glazed salmon and I wasn’t very pleased. The salmon was very dry and bland. My sister got the sea bass, Mediterranean style and it was delicious. Very succulent and juicy, plus the goat cheese spread on top was a good accompaniment. The fish dishes are pretty light so you won’t be stuffed… in that case the shark fin tail dessert is always a compelling option.

Traveling for work. The Happy Hour menu listed mostly fried appetizers so decided to choose from the main menu. The main menu was limited. The waitress made no attempt to explaining this limited menu which after my long work day was quite a disappointment. My parents owned a successful family restaurant for 50 years. What more can I say.

Don’t be fooled by the location. Fresh seafood, creative cocktails, nice ambiance and excellent service! I recommend the grapefruit and basil martini and the spicy shrimp appetizer. My entrée was a chef’s special cod and lobster Oscar, and it was delicious. Outstanding service and recommendations by Aaron, and the manager also stopped by to be sure all was well. I love it when places appreciate your business! They also have a GREAT happy hour menu for both apps and drinks in the bar area. And for a bonus — a patio!

Mitchell’s! I love you! This place has everything. Full bar with plenty of signature cocktails(everyone that I’d had so far has been a home run). The ambiance is great, it can get a little noisy but this is not the place you should come for a romantic quiet meal. This is a place of celebration with friends or family, a little noise should be encouraged! Simply stated, the fish here is just insane. I’ve never had a better King Crab and I’m not sure there is one. I made the mistake of eating at a Red Lobster and ordering Snow Crap a couple weeks later… no. No don’t you do that. Mitchell’s. King Crap. The service was excellent. Wait staff here was not rushed or rude. They were attentive but not overbearing. They were playful but they didn’t crowd you our become uncomfortable familiar. 5 stars. I’d actually forgotten how much I love Mitchell’s. I’m going to go make a reservation right now. Thanks for reading!

Mitchell’s is both accessible and a casual but higher end chain joint, without being all«mucho margaritas and sizzling fajita shooter samples under 500 calories» Mitchell’s is a small national chain that does seafood, primarily. This location is situated in the *field of Brooks, notably in the field of Brooks’ consumerist Square. *Mitchell’s is located in the Brookfield Square Mall. The food here is pretty solid… again, accessible, but innovative and interesting enough for sure. Service is friendly and attentive as you’d expect from a chain-type spot…(and let’s be real, chains usually have the service game on lock whereas that can fall through the cracks more easily at smaller/singular spots). The drink/cocktail list and beer selection could use some work — perhaps bring in more local products? — but the wine list is on point. Overall, if yr after some well executed seafood in the MKE ‘burbs, Mitchell’s may be your spot!

I attended a Pacific Northwest wine pairing dinner at Mitchell’s and I was so impressed! There were four hearty courses with a generous wine pour for each. Here was the breakdown: First Course: Sweet Corn and Crab Bisque with Spicy Pumpkin Seeds paired with King Estate«Signature Collection» Pinot Gris, Oregon Second Course: Tempura Battered Pacific Oysters with Napa Cabbage Slaw and Spicy Aioli paired with Acrobat Pinot Noir 2012, Oregon Third Course: Pan Roasted Alaskan Sablefish with Three Mushroom Risotto and Brussels Sprouts with Red Wine Reduction paired with North by Northwest Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 Fourth Course: Washington Apple Walnut Tart with Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream and Caramel Sauce paired with North by Northwest Horse Heaven Hills Dessert Riesling 2012 I’ve never had fried oysters before or sablefish but I liked both. The sweet corn and crab bisque was probably my favorite thing of the night. The service was fantastic and I learned new things about wine. I highly recommend Mitchell’s for one of these special dinners or just a regular dinner date.

We had an early birthday dinner here last Sunday at around 5. The restaurant was not busy at all. We started with some clam chowder and a salad. The salad had pine nuts and dates on it, which we did not particularly care for. The dressing was fabulous though. The soup was very thick and tasty, but I found it too salty. The sirloin and lobster tail were excellent! No complaints there– well seasoned, delicious drawn butter, potatoes and asparagus. Cannot go wrong. The seafood trio — lobster tail, shrimp and scallops– were also delicious. The seasonal roasted veggies(Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and sweet potatoes) were so delicious and really tasted homemade. Good work, Mitchell’s. We will be returning for a tasty seafood dinner.

Was lucky enough to attend the«Italy Uncorked» dinner here, part of a series of wine dinner/special events this spot hosts. Fellow guests at our table raved about the whole series, and many of the diners were return customers. Good sign. 4 courses, 3 wine pairings, and a dessert espresso martini accompanied our meal. We dined on a crostini trio(with prosecco), a squash tortellaci with lobster(with a pinot grigio), and a sea bass(with red wine) before enjoying almond cake and a martini for dessert. Everything was truly delicious. I’d return for the crostini(bruschetta was really divine) and THATSQUASHTORTELLACI. The brown butter sauce was EXTREMELY delish. Staff were warm and friendly, wine tips were helpful, and descriptions were en pointe. Would love to return for another special event here — or just come back to enjoy a well-prepared, tasty meal. Cheers!
