Probably a downgrade of In-N-Out but the best freaking burgers around! Honestly! The service is so great, the employees are super friendly. They have a general menu but the taste of the burgers is just unexplainable, you’d have to try it for yourself. The environment is so awesome and chill, you’ll definitely feel like you’re at home. My favorite time to eat at Yo-Burger is in the summer time :) You’ll defiantly have a great experience when eating outside, even with your dog, while enjoying the nice summer breeze. Overall, hands down best burger place around when you’re lazy to travel to the city! I am so glad I found Yo-Burger and their yogurt options are amazing.

Yo burger over prices the double cheese burger. They take a single burger and cut it in half and stack it and they call it a double cheese burger. I am very disappointed in the. And by the way. For the same amount of meat the charge more because of the title«double cheese burger». Very disappointed.

Amazing !!! Juicy double cheeseburger with an amazing taste like never before. Before going anywhere else to get a burger I would drive to Yo-burger and eat here. The french fries are crunchy and not greasy at all. Loved out dinner !! Now the strawberry shake tip it off delicious it tasted just like ice cream.

Riverdale doesn’t have a Shake Shack so this is a welcome nearby substitute and doesn’t require a Hunger Games-style competition for a seat. The menu is simple with yummy burgers(including veggie) hot dogs, fries(including sweet potato), shakes and self-serve frozen yogurt. There are a few extra burger toppings, nothing edgy but it’s a nice change of pace for a hot sauce fiend. The yogurt is charged by weight and there are some tempting self-serve toppings so of course there’s a price to pay for nonpareils and such.

I’m adding an addendum based on my last two experiences here. Today was a joke. I swear to God, the little boys behind the counter are ridiculously unprofessional, I watched two of them fight each other NOT to serve me. I don’t know if they are tiny aliens, or what — but it was unprofessional and ridiculous. I don’t go somewhere to spend my money to be treated like that. Who knows, maybe it was because last time I was there, I was presented with the most ridiculous and asinine scenario I’ve ever come across. I asked for a double cheeseburger, but for one of the patties to not be on the burger, but on the side, without cheese, so I could give it to my dog. So, what I got was a bun with onions and tomato, and two cheeseburgers on a piece of paper. I went to the counter and said, why did you mess this up? And I was literally, literally told that it was against management’s policy to ask for one patty off the cheeseburger. They either both had to be on — or BOTHHADTOBEOFF. I was incredibly uncomfortable with this — not because it was the end of the actual world, but because it didn’t make any sense to any reasonable human. So, I’m like asking the person: really? REALLY!!! — and he’s saying it’s «management policy.» And then the manager, queen of the little boys is just sitting there 1.5 feet away, ringing someone up at the other register, completely ignoring me or coming to the rescue of his cheeseburger-babyson, over this ridiculously stupid policy. YO-BURGER I have removed you from my mind, from bringing my friends and family in because of your rude and stupid staff and poor management. I will also make sure that this complaint gets to the owners, including the names of the juveniles elbowing each other in the ribs to decide who had to take my order. And what’s up with a place that doesn’t have any women working there?

Another great addition complements of The owners of Salvatores. It’s a bit on the pricey end but worth a visit.

Great burgers, yummy cheesy fries. Not so much a fan of the sweet potato fries and the fountain soda tasted odd. But the burgers(which is the deal breaker were yum) the prices are not bad either. I certainly recommend!

Since there is no In-N-Out or Shake Shack in the neighborhood, we go to YoBurger. They definitely have the tastiest burgers in the area and you aren’t eating all those chemicals like at other fast food places. The burgers come with a lot of fixings included(except grilled mushrooms, which are extra). The fries are pretty good as well(my husband especially likes the cheese fries). However, I am not crazy about the Yo at YoBurger. I love Pinkberry and Red Mango but their yogurt just tastes like sugary ice cream to me. I’ve learned to skip it and get one of their shakes if I want something sweet and the extra calories!

The sweet potatoe fries were good. I tried a turkey burger and it was fine. Nothing amazing. It was just fine. My friend tried the vegetable burger and enjoyed his.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. Their cheeseburgers Are absolutely delish. I find them to be perfectly cooked, a ton of topping options, prices are fair. They produce the burgers pretty quickly as well and I like that they cook it in front of you. You can pretty much see what they’re doing which I like. Ordered over the phone once for pick up and it was correct, even though the girl seemed to have a hard time hearing me. Their milkshakes are also outstanding. So creamy and good. Their yogurt is a nice feature to, good topping selection good flavor selection. Really not a negative word about the restaurant. Nice that they have some outdoor seating as well. If I had to compare their burgers to a better-known chain, I find them similar to five guys.

Had nothing to eat from 1230 till 9 pm when i arrived so you know my animalistic beast came out ready to devour. As the doors swung open I floated through as if I was neo from the Matrix. The menu is pretty apparent and simple. You choose the type of burger, Whether it be fresh beef, lean turkey, or veggie burger. Everything fresh and cooked right in front of you. They also have hotdogs and milkshakes and don’t forget frozen yogurt with plenty of toppings. Since it was cheat day for me I went with 4 cheeseburgers and 4 sets of fries. With each bite, I got hungrier and my chest hair grew ever so slightly. You can choose to sit either inside or outside. On a hot New York summer day, inside seems more ideal. The air conditioning hit the spot. The staff are very friendly. One even brought my food to me at my table when it was ready. I’m a burger guy and this place definitely hit the spot.

The Burgers were excellent, just like if they were made on the grill in my back yard. We each had a regular cheese burger with lettuce onions and tomatoes. They aren’t huge burgers, but sized well enough to not be hungry after one and some fries.

tasty burgers that resemble shake shack in looks and gets close but lacks a little bit of flavor and saltiness that you can find in the former. But the toppings — as many as you want– are free(except grilled mushrooms and bacon which cost a little extra). The cheese fries were pretty amazing in texture and flavor– freshly fried, hot, and crispy with a liquidy cheese drizzled on top. Great place with plentiful of street parking easy for you to stay and eat or take out. Also, for the kiddos, there’s frozen yogurt.

This place gives ShakeShack a run for their money! Their burgers are cheap and very flavorful! It is my new go to lunch place when I am in Riverdale!

Place was described to me as being somewhat akin to Shake Shack. After seeing the vibrating coaster alerts, the sterile aesthetic, and the psuedo-modernist metal chairs that looked like they came out of an industrial-grade Ikea, I can definitely see what she meant. All I can say is: Yo-Burger, if you want to open up a knock-off Shake Shack in Riverdale, at least have the decency to serve alcohol to help your customers delude themselves into imagining they’re someplace else.(At least there wasn’t a line.) Burger was uninspring — perfectly serviceable but kind of dry and lacking in flavor. Also, for $ 5 for a cheeseburger I was hoping for something a little better than American singles(but maybe I’m being unreasonable). Fries were quite good. Cheese fries are served in a cup, not a tray, though, so cheese distribution was not optimal. Overall, it’s a fine enough space to meet up with friends for not a lot of money(clean, spacious, restrooms and whatnot), but the food leaves me unsatisfied.

In a pinch I’ll eat here. I’m not crazy about pulling out a fry as long as my arm. It makes me wonder where the potato comes from. Secondly, the amount of butter or whatever they use to grease the grill gives me heartburn. I won’t give them a bad grade because it is clean and nice to eat careful not to overload your yogurt. It’s priced by the pound.

One year ago today, I went on a solo full-day biking adventure through the Bronx. Eating dinner at Yo-Burger was an easy decision based on its perfect 20-something Unilocal reviews, the price, and the fact that it had«burger» in the name. After eating at Tino’s Deli near the NY Botanical Garden, exploring Pelham Bay Park and City Island, grabbing a beer at the Bronx Ale House, and eating S&S cheesecake in Van Cortlandt Park, I was ready for the burger. Rocky would have quailed at the sight of the stairs I had to scale in order to reach Riverdale Ave(or maybe it just seemed that way because I was exhausted and had to carry my bike). Either way, I felt like Kumar and Yo-Burger was my White Castle. The place is styled similarly to many froyo chains(«stylish» and clean-looking) with its logo everywhere. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and a vanilla milkshake from a very nice gentleman who gave me the same kind of «buzzer» that one would receive on a Saturday night at Applebee’s in Times Square. This didn’t seem necessary, as I was one of three customers at the time — which I think was because the place was fairly new. The weather was beautiful, so I sat at one of the 3 – 4 outdoor picnic tables. I had not had In-N-Out at the time, but I would later discover the similarities. The burger exceeded my expectations and then some. The shake was as good as I wanted it to be. During my return ride to Washington Heights, my mission was clear: spread the word. I could not believe that NOONE who I asked had ever heard of Yo-Burger. Its remote location at the top of a hill in the North Bronx seemed very unfortunate, because so many people would never get a chance to experience this(much) cheaper, better version of Shake Shack and Five Guys. The quality of the burger, the confusingly cheap price, and my anticipation made for an unforgettable experience. It wasn’t until a year later that I would take someone else. 2nd visit: Burger still amazing and worth a trek. Caribbean coffee froyo was very good. Sweet potato fries also great. However, prices have risen significantly.

The food is not bad(burger was so-so) but not good for takeout. Apparently they can’t be bothered to wrap the burger or fries completely. They also didn’t make my last order the way I requested(I call it my «last order» because I am not going back!!). They don’t deliver or pack the food properly for takeout. There are many better choices around here.

Yay a GOOD burger place. Man if you had in n out burger this is definitely a good comparison. So I’ve been hunting for a burger spot for days and everything was too greasy and big. But this place was really on point. You walk in and to the left is froyo. Then straight ahead is the burger menu! Simple easy and you get to choose your toppings. I freakin love it. I usually get a burger with lettuce onion mayo. Fries and a chocolate shake. They give you a buzzer thingy and you’re able to pick it up at the counter fresh. Burger is great. Fries are great. Shake hit the spot. And I love how fast the service is. Usually when I write my reviews I make sure to always try it a couple times before I go in. So yo burger gets a thumbs up. Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is bc all I want is thousand island dressing. But nonetheless awesome spot.

On a Friday afternoon, as one would expect, this place was packed with school aged children and what seemed like people fresh outta work and on their way home with take out from Yo-Burger. This place also serves frozen yogurt. Who knew? I ordered the single cheeseburger and sweet potato fries which were both AMAZING!!! I love, love Yo-Burger. The food is fresh and tasty. I wouldn’t eat here though as the crowd is kinda rude and loud. This is strictly a take out place. Another negative, they ran out of the small size serving cups for their yogurt.
