The décor of this place is very nice— especially compared to the stereotypical barbershop men normally see. I’m a licensed cosmetologist, so when I took my brother here I made sure to look out for any major rules or regulations being broken. The first thing I noticed was when my brother and I first walked in– one of the barbers banged on the window to get the attention of one of his coworkers to come help us— he was outside smoking. I don’t care if people smoke, but after you’re done you’re supposed to come inside and ATLEAST wash your hands. But no, this barber just started working on my brother. Then I saw that the barber had Starbucks on his station… Technically against the rules, but a lot of barbershops do that. The main thing that bothered me about this place, however, was the fact that the barbers were quite rude to their clients. When my brother was in the chair, all of the barbers were just laughing and talking to each other and even mentioned how one of them was still hungover from the previous night. That irritated me a lot because clients should always come first, and should never have to listen to the person doing their hair gossip about their private life. When I was looking around none of the barbers were really talking to their clients– just gossiping with each other. All things considered, the cut was pretty good, but it just felt like the barbers weren’t actually ever paying attention to their clients, nor did they care about their clients.

I have been here twice now, once for myself and once for my two year old boy. They did an excellent job on both! I will definitely keep coming back here, and they have earned my business. They have an old time barber shop feel, and still use straight razors, which is difficult to find now. Their prices are good. Just FYI, they only take cash.

These folks are awesome with kids! My husband and two boys, ages 7 and 3, come here. Each time they are clean, friendly and so very good with kids. The haircuts are always awesome. Doesn’t matter which barber you get they are all great!

I’ve been going to Lou’s since high school when he worked at his first barber shop location in Manassas. He’s really consistent and pays attention to detail. Ever since he’s opened his Bristow shop, I’ve rarely had him cut my hair anymore since there’s almost always a long wait. I’ve tried a few of the other barbers and they’re all pretty good. I would usually get a skin fade. My only complaint is that they don’t accept debit/credit. I understand it’s only $ 15 for a men’s cut plus tip, but it’s pretty inconvenient if I don’t have cash and have to stop by an ATM. Besides that it’s a clean, professional, and kid friendly like others have mentioned.

Decided to try them after reading the reviews here. I was not disappointed. Walked in the door with no appt. was greeted and seated for a haircut immediately. Kay was the lady who cut my hair, and she did a good job. The razor cut at the collar line was a nice finish. Reminded me of the way barbers used to cut my hair years ago. Nice place, I’ll be coming here again.

went here during lunch one day and got a great haircut. :) the shop is clean and service was very friendly. I typically cut my own(clippers) but sometimes don’t want to deal with it so I will happily go back. Cost was $ 15 which is reasonable!

Came here on a whim one day a couple years back because 1) I wasn’t a fan of Hair Cuttery &2) It’s a local business. Glad I did, because I’ve never gone anywhere else since then. Shave & a haircut, $ 19. More than happy to pay that for such a fantastic job performed by friendly people. To answer a previous review, they probably don’t take credit cards because they don’t want to deal with the hassle of the fees per transaction, etc. It a simple local barber shop so it really isn’t necessary, but they were right in saying that there are two banks in this shopping center. I prefer the PNC one, because not only is it the bank I use but their ATM gives out $ 1’s, so I can give a tip without having to ask for a portion of the change back while they keep the rest.

Really bad place I felt rushed and unwelcome there maybe because I was the only Spanish person there who knows. I rather go to a barber place than this place

Updated Review: I have been a customer of Lou for years now and I cant say enough good things about this barber shop. I have since moved out of Bristow to Ashburn and I still drive back to get my hair cut in Bristow. I tried a couple shops by my new house, and they were nice shops, but a good barber truly is a hard thing to find. As long as I live in Northern Virginia I will make the drive to see Lou and get cleaned up.

They gave my 2 year old son a haircut and did a great job. The barber was really patient with him and very reassuring, so it was a good experience. He got a great haircut, it was a very reasonable price, and there was no wait. Also, they have a tv playing cartoons while you wait and a train table, which my son loved. We will definitely go back.

I was told by the barber that he knew how to do a military hair cut and I even pointed where to start the fade for Marine medium regulation hair cut. he completely ignored that and started two inches higher than I showed him. now I have a ridiculous looking high and tight that isn’t even right ether(did not trim hair away from the ears). If you need a military hair cut look else where!

This place is great, fast and efficient. 8 chairs and usually 5 or 6 barbers. A regular cut is $ 15, kids 12 and under pay $ 13, Beard trim is $ 8, Haircut & Beard is $ 19, 60 and over pay $ 13 and Law enforcement & military folks get $ 1 off. This shop is CASHONLY and they don’t have an ATM, so get your cash at Harris Teeter if you need to. Al & Lou are favorites to many. They do a great job and can cut many styles from a fade to a kiddie bowl cut to a military high & tight. I highly recommend these guys(and gal).

I’m not in the military but this place is close to home. I have no complaints, they give haircuts that any hair cutter should be able to do well,(but that many can’t). I like the fact that they use the straight razor on your neck to finish up.

Love this shop! Def the best in Manassas area by far. I’ve tried a few other cheaper spots but the cut is nowhere near the quality and look of what u can get here. My barber has been Lou for the longest, he’s the owner, and he def gets the most business. I would suggest callin ahead to make an appointment so your not stuck waitin for 30 mins.

Definitely the best $ 14 haircut in the Bristow area. The staff is friendly and competent. Tends to get very busy on weekends, so it’s best to sneak in during the week if possible.

Great barber shop to get in and out quickly. They had a good number of staff to keep customers moving alone. And they do a very good job. I thin k I may have found my permanent barber shop now.

So… if you are in the line of work that requires you to get a crew cut… or hi and tight… this is the place to be. The gentleman in the first chair on your left does an outstanding job in cutting a high and tight. I’ve been to other places such as hair cuttery and sport clips, yet they can’t seem to get it right. The price is not to shabby either $ 14.00, and if you are a policeman, fireman, service member you can get $ 1.00 off. It’s an all vietnamese establishment, so be prepared for a language barrier. Other than that… they do an outstanding job. Oh yeah, they only take checks and cash… I don’t know what that is all about… but there are two banks in the shopping center for those folks that don’t carry cash. Checkem’ out… it’s worth the trip.
