This place LOST2 pairs of pants that I took in for dry cleaning. Yes, I lost my receipt, but that really shouldn’t make a difference! The fact is, this place is stuck in the 1960’s. They do not have a computerized system for tracking customer’s dry cleaning, and they are incredibly disorganized. They could not find my receipt in their filing cabinet and were not able to find my two pairs of pants. Their response? «We don’t know what happened to them. Here, try texting the owner.» TERRIBLE! I will NEVER take my business back to this place again. The worst dry cleaner on this planet. Oh, another thing: have you ever considered getting air conditioning, or, at the very least, a FAN? It’s so unbelievably hot in this place, I start sweating my nuts off within minutes! By far the worst.

There are a lot of negative reviews on here, but I come here regularly for dry cleaning. I have not had any issues in the past. Besides, Niko seems like a cool dude. I have not used the coin-op machines.

Awful experience here! It’s only a block from my place so I thought I would try it out. I dropped off some clothes and they told me it would take a week, ok fine. A week later I went back during business hours on 4 separate occasions to pick up my stuff and they were not open. They have business hours posted online that are wrong. And with permanent marker they have hours written on a sign that are apparently also wrong. After a total of 5 attempts to pick up my clothes(before and after work) and two weeks later I finally got clothes back. Never going there again.

Finally… all their dryers are working… I guess the problems with the gas company are over. Had to go back to use the machines… read another review that the machines are too small… I don’t find that at all It is a FAR cry from what i was forced to use… The Found Sock… are you kidding me

Very clean place. The best around. There is another one across the street but it’s very dirty and they stole my clothes from there in TWO different occasions so I am not going back for sure The laundromat is not very big and it’s a little bit more expensive than the dirty one but it’s worth every penny. Go there once and you ll keep gong back. They also do dry cleaning and alterations there.

Cleaning Portal for Laundry? More like Portal for money laundering. At least, that’s the only way these people can possibly still be in business. For starters, there is zero air circulation in there. I have never been to a place of business that was that unbearably muggy. Only once have I seen someone actually do laundry there and god what an awful experience that must be. Anyway, I went to pay for my dry cleaning but the credit card machine was«broken» so I tried to use cash. Except at 5pm on a thursday they could not even give me $ 5 in change. In fact, there appeared to be nothing in the till at all save some loose change.(Which, come to think of it, is also odd since almost all of their fees are in whole dollar amounts). Instead of looking in her own wallet for a mere five bucks, the associate just kept insisting I go get change at 7⁄11 or use 7/11’s(out of network) ATM. And no, 7⁄11 does not do cash back for debit. Will I return because they’re a dry cleaner one block from my apartment? Probably. If they went out of business would I be sad? Not. At. All.

The machines are terrible, and on any given day several are broken. The last straw for me was the fact that most machines aren’t fed hot water(despite the fact that it’s a setting on the machine, and no signage exists that explains that hot water is actually unavailable). I have severe allergies which require washing items in hot water, so this place is a no-go.

–Sorry, exact change only. –You don’t have change? –Nope, no change. –So, if I pay my $ 14 charge with a twen– —No change. Nothing back. –Nothing? :And then he was visibly annoyed: To pay for my $ 14 wash-and-fold, I ran to the 7-Eleven, forked over money to get cash at an ATM outside of my «network»(don’t get me started!) schlepped the crisp $ 20 to the counter, begged the cashier for change, received two tens, trudged up the street to Bamboo for ones, and back to the ‘Portal to claim what was mine. OUCH!

It’s kind of creepy now because they merged this place with the video rental place that used to be next door, but it’s cool. They have the newest machines in the area, which is great. 2 bucks for a load in the washer, and then I usually drop a dollar in the dryer but a lot of people I know spend less on that. The staff is very friendly, and they usually have a movie playing when I go in(although it’s usually in Russian, they cater to the large Russian community in the area). It’s tiny, but better than all the other laundry-mats in the area.
