I have been eating at the Dinner for so many years I can not remember the first time. When the cooks don’t have the man power to deliver quality well prepared food, and that food is presented to you a lot of people Don’t care about you. I’m talking about a oatmeal. It was sent back and came back some what better. If the Cook dose not care about the product he or she prepares then I need to find a place that respects me as a commuter! It was just a bowl of oatmeal and was not charged on the our bill. Thanks to our server. Some one cared? Never should’ve come to our table!

I’ve been going here since it opened. What can I say. I love to take young children here. They always have fun. My tastes have changed over the years. The Prime Rib dinners on Friday night are awesome. I used to get the Red Pepper Croissant. Very good. Then I started ordering the Chef Salad. Very good. The Taco Salad is also awesome. I now order the Denver Omelet without onions, or the Eggs Benedict. I love the staff. They are like, so precious to me. When I was really broke I always got the ½ sandwich and soup. The Hot Dogs are also very tasty, when low on the funds. God bless The Red Apple Diner.

Best breakfast in Kitsap county. Coffee cup never empty either. Hash browns crispy and hot. Good thing I don’t live close, but we do go early to have breakfast when in area.

I love the Red Apple Diner. Food is tasty and comes in good portions. The staff is friendly and kind. Food comes out at a reasonable time. Its definitely worth a visit. The restaurant itself is clean and has a awesome retro theme.

Food was good. I liked the feel of the 50’s dinner. But, for me the service was a bit off. Our waitress(an older gal), seemed to be annoyed taking our order and the woman running the cash register ignored me when I attempted to make small talk, but I’ll just chalk it up to her not hearing me. Overall, we will go back. We’re just not rushing to get there.

Good breakfast, don’t think it’s a reach to say it’s the best in the area. Hardy, diner food good for after church or for your hangover.

We had an excellent experience here. Big Apple diner had great food, friendly staff, and an awesome atmosphere. I enjoyed the Denver omelette with fried red potatoes, and my husband enjoyed the corned beef hash. I definitely recommend Big Apple Diner. We’re definitely coming back here.

We found this place from another site that said it was a great diner, and it was! Food was comfort style the whole way and the atmosphere was traditional diner out of the 50’s and 60’s including the music– fantastic. I had the liver and onions(how 50’s) and it was good, not great but how good can that be in the first place? I loved it! The place was packed on a Saturday lunch, can’t wait to back for a breakfast! Sherry was out waitress and she was great.

Spacious and a menu with good variety. Our waitress was Sandy. She was amazing. I just moved up here, and this was the first place I ate at! After a 22 hour straight road trip, I had the Coconut Almond Waffle– and WOW. It was the best waffle I’ve ever had. The environment is a very clean 50’s diner feel. Would love to eat here again.

Before we moved to Bremerton, we asked about places to eat. The diner was one of the top recommended and it ended up being half a mile from our house. It was one of the first places I tried and was so happy to see cinnamon french toast on the menu. That is how I’ve always made french toast and it is great. I got my daughter the teddy bear pancake and she loves it. We try to go atleast once every 2 weeks and the waitresses know us pretty well. I was actually suprised when I heard some friends mention the diner not being child friendly because they have been nothing but child friendly to my toddler.

Great prices and great food! I came here for breakfast and got a chicken fried steak for $ 10.95. The diner theme here is great! They also have various knick-knacks for sale. I found some books that contain information regarding years people were born. They contained ads from the year, gas prices and many more cool facts about the year you were born. Very unique and cool! The only thing I didn’t like about the diner was there was a banquet table set up for people to eat on. Kind of cheesy and very uncomfortable, I’m happy I didn’t sit there. I would definitely recommend to a friend though!

Cute little place. Service was a bit slow for just two people. There seemed to be only one waitress. Which was strange because we went at dinner time. We ordered the chicken strip basket, apple pie a la mode, & a smores shake. Prices were good, portions were good, but overall the food was just okay.

Went here on Saturday around 8:45 with my two kids and were seated right away. They both ordered the teddy bear pancake which was huge. Came with peaches, strawberries, bananas and whip cream for decoration. Only $ 3.95 per kids meal and included a beverage. I went for the basics, two eggs scrambled, O’Brien potatoes and toast. Potatoes could have been a bit crisper but still yummy. Not the most amazing breakfast food but good old fashion diner breakfast. Will definitely go back. By the time we left around 9:30 there was a decent wait so I’d recommend going before 9.

Yes, I’m a fan, always have been and always will be! Big Apple Diner(otherwise referred to as Red Apple Diner for many of us) is a true staple in our area. Here at Big Apple you get consistency, tried and true, good old fashioned, consistency. The service is always friendly, fast and good no matter what server you get. Many of the servers have been there for many years and yet they still have that smile on their face and in their greeting. Service has always been prompt from the time you sit down until you receive your check. They don’t over serve, they just seem to know when the right time is to stop and check on you. Coffee is kept full, plates are cleared when empty, water refilled when ½ full… all the marks of great customer service. This visit had me enjoying a bacon cheeseburger and my lunch partner an omelet. I ordered extra bacon because who doesn’t want extra bacon and wow, I definitely got extra bacon! Wonderful thick cut crispy yet meaty bacon on a juicy burger with plenty of tomato and lettuce. Not enough sauce for me but some extra mayonnaise had me needing extra napkins! The omelet was perfection on a plate, light and fluffy with plenty of stuffing for every bight to be exactly what was ordered. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy, just like ordered but they definitely need some salt. I didn’t have a milk shake this time but that was an oversight on my part. Always, always, always get a milk shake, they are the best in town! Between myself, family and friends, I swear we’ve had everything on the menu and I’m happy to say, everything has been consistently good. It’s hot, it’s what we ordered and it’s delivered with a smile. Can’t really ask for more than that! Oh, and they have SPAM! In case you’re wondering why four instead of five stars, it just has to do with the cleanliness. Sometimes it’s cleaner than others but it could stand to take a day off and get scrubbed from top to bottom, especially along the edges and the bathrooms.

I have to say, there is comfort food, and there is comfort food, and this place has great comfort food! Ya know, an average menu, with above average grub and reasonable prices. Try the chicken friend streak. Yeah, that is good stuff. My arteries hate it, but my mouth loves it!

Per Unilocal,Big Apple is the most popular breakfast spot in Bremerton, so last Sunday we gave it a whirl. One comment about Bremerton itself, what a scenic town — with about 35 million inlets from Puget Sound coursing through the city. We came pretty early(around eight) so we were seated immediately. But when we left there was a fierce waiting list with people spilling out into the parking lot. Big Apple(bedecked with a 50s theme) is a smoothly run operation, with a legion of staff efficiently taking/delivering orders and refilling beverage cups. We were seated by a rather massive, but quiet, orange juice squeeze machine. So of course, we ordered orange juice. Along with the orange juice, JP requested the Idaho trout, and I asked for steak. Sure, the orange juice squeezer is a fun novelty, but how well did it do the OJ? I wondered how it was going to extract juice, but nothing else. It didn’t turn out so hot. The juice had a pungent overwhelming flavor of orange peel. However, the rest of our food was good. The trout was seasoned well and my steak was tender and cooked to specification. But while they were otherwise okay, the scrambled eggs were in curious pieces about the size of rice grains. The hash browns were rather underdone, but still decent. You pay at the cash register. The location of the register is a little awkward, because as you stand at the counter, you block staffers from entering/exiting the kitchen. Still, overall a satisfactory breakfast. But I do need to mention the Johnny’s Salt we saw on our table. I looked at its contents label. It’s MSG with a little seasoning. Somewhat alarmed, I checked with our server to see if it was used in our dishes. She assured us that none of the menu items contained Johnny’s Salt, but that they did use it in some of their condiments, like potato salad.
