I had a terrible to go experience today. I have ordered before many times but not in a long time. Two orders of spaghetti with meat sauce and extra meat sauce on the side. After driver lleft I opened the first container to find two meatballs on spaghetti with no sauce. The second container had a small amount of sauce. I looked in the bag for sauce on the side; none. I called and asked for sauce to be delivered she said OK. An hour later I called again to follow up and she put the«manager» on the phone. He proceeded to argue the fact of no sauce and also added the extra sauce is in the container with the spaghetti. I told him there was no sauce in one and minimal is the 2nd and no sauce on the side. He said it wasn’t true and all but called me a liar. I am still waiting for my sauce however he is so rude I hesitate to eat it. If they show up with sauce I can show them the spaghetti; if not I will return both myself and never eat from there again. …Still waiting and hungry in Brea…

This used to be my son’s and my favorite date place. This time? As I am sitting here poking at a salad that cost me 3 dollars to have lettuce, a few kidney beans, and a few(what I assume to be) garbanzo beans(like, 4 – 6 of each) and hardly enough dressing to have any taste(like a spot in the middle of my plate), I requested more dressing to which they brought a «side of tomatoes». I had to steal silver wear from other tables and we received our spaghetti and bread. The Brad was not even warm enough to spread the butter. The staff is passive and seems to be more interested in chatting with each other and staring off into space. I am saddened by this and I will now be changing my review on Facebook as well. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend anyone else to dine in here. For this? I am disappointed.

None of your noodles are vegan? You should really give that option to people. If you had a vegan noodle option than I would have gotten some pasta with marinara sauce and mushrooms, but I did not. Please rethink your menu options for customers.

I’ve driven by this place so many times I decided to try it today. We ordered at the front and then was given a number. I checked in on Unilocal and was given a free order of buffalo chips… so yummy and garlicy with a slight hint of spice. So much better if dipped in ranch. Yummy! We ordered the spaghetti and meatball with marinara sauce. The dish was very bland that I needed to add salt just to eat it. They serve Pepsi so this place is alright in my books.

I want to share my last two experiences with the Lascari’s in Brea. About 6 months ago we called to place an pickup order for lunch. We called right at opening to order two items to have ready for pickup one hour after calling. We were told that they couldn’t have it done by that time but could have it ready in two hours.(Two hours to cook two dishes right when they open? Hard to believe, but we placed the order any way.) I showed up 5 minutes prior to the pick up time and had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the order to be ready. The staff appeared not to care at all and showed zero sense of urgency to get the order completed in a timely manner. We wanted an hour, you asked for two, and it still wasn’t ready. Poor service. Tonight I wanted to give them another chance. This time picking up a tiramisu(which is already prepared and packaged), and a spumoni. Upon walking into the restaurant they only had one table of customers. I placed the order and was told that it would be a couple of minutes. Which sounded reasonable to me because I’m sure they had other things to do. So I waited, staring at the pre-packaged tiramisu sitting in their display all ready to go. Five minutes went by… then ten. Meanwhile the one table in the restaurant orders a beer, and the same employee who took my order reaches past the tiramisu to get the beer. He then did the same thing two minutes later to grab a salad and dressing. At the 15 minute mark I had had enough. I politely asked the employee how much longer until the order would be ready. He gave me a dirty look and said«maybe another five minutes». I told him that it had already been 15 minutes. He then grabbed the recipe to check and said well it’s still going to maybe be another 5. I told him to cancel my order and refund my money, to which he agreed. While he is processing the return another employee came up and asked if he still needed the spumoni. He then looked and me and said«no he wants to cancel it». I then said that I thought waiting over 20 minutes was unreasonable to have someone reach into the fridge and grab something that was already prepared. Awful service, and the employee very obviously didn’t give a darn. I’m never going to give another chance and will be sure to tell everyone I know to do the same. Maybe the decrease in customers will help them provide an acceptable level of service.

The food is ordered at the counter and while we were ordering there was a table of 6 men and or boys talking loud and goofing around, this was annoying but the come to find out these men were management and friends. Then they took there little gathering to the front counter while taking money out of the register. Not very good business manners. Food was good but the atmosphere was ruined by the mangers very loud.

Only bad experiences with this place. 1. Food is not worth the price, go to flame broiler next door 2. Perhaps do your inventory correctly, and you will not run out of food? 3. You’re staff needs to be more assertive and take more time with food, so it’s quality instead of makeshift

You order your food at the counter, and a server brings it to you. The food is great, however, the way it’s served and the environment is more like a cafeteria. We had to move because of the noise in the kitchen. Plus, our table wasn’t clean. I noticed the staff spends way more time huddled near the counter, than they do cleaning up, bringing out food, and generally helping the place run smoother. The ravioli and the chicken marsala were great. However, if you want atmosphere, go to their restaurant in La Habra.

Average to slightly below average Italian food. We had this catered for a lunch meeting, again. The food was not memorable and was drowned in sauce/cheese. Real Italian food is not supposed to be like that. Pasta was soggy and not al dente. Pass on this place, yet again. 5⁄10.

I’ve ordered lunch/dinner from here 4 times in the past 2 weeks(and a little embarrassed about it, haha). I love the build your own pasta. I always get the creamy pesto — but they should call it dreamy pesto because it’s literally the pesto of my dreams. They are generous with the sauce, which I like; and the noodles are usually cooked a little more than al dente, which is also my preference. The portions are big. I can usually get three sit down meals out of one order. The fried zucchini is my fav fried zucchini(which says a lot) and the ranch goes great with it!

I have been going to Lascaris for as long as I can remember. After my last couple of experiences I’m beginning to believe they have changed ownership and the quality of their food. I happened to stop by this location on my lunch break with my boyfriend. We should have known something was up when we realized there were only four other people there at lunch time and all of the surrounding places to eat were packed. The staff was very kind and helpful. One woman came up and pointed out the new items on their menu. Cheeseburger, fish tacos and ceviche, etc. Since when does an Italian establishment serve cheeseburgers, fish tacos and ceviche?!? Anyways. I ordered the Turkey ABC(avocado, bacon, cheese) and my boyfriend ordered the Meatball Sub. Items we’ve enjoyed several times in the past. When we got back to the office and opened our sandwiches, we were appalled. My Turkey ABC had one piece of bacon and hardly any avocado. I’ve added pictures to this review so you can see what I mean. It was pathetic looking. My boyfriends sub was soggy. The meatballs tasted like they were frozen from Restaurant Depot. The sauce was very bland. Both sandwiches were very bland. No flavor. Even the quality of the bread wasn’t the same and the sandwiches appeared smaller than ever. The side of ambrosia that came with my sandwich smelled sour and was very watery. It made my stomach turn just smelling it. We will not be going back to this establishment.

Be sure to check in here on Unilocal for a free order of buffalo chips or garlic puffs! Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the offer until after I had ordered so I didn’t partake. Scroll through the pictures on Unilocal though because the buffalo chips looks really good! I heard the girl at the counter telling another customer that they had recently updated their menu. The thing is, their menu is kind of crazy. They have everything from pasta, pizza and sandwiches(pretty typical) to wraps, tacos and fish & chips(less typical). I had trouble deciding what to order because there are literally a million choices. Somehow I settled on the bruschetta pizza salad, which wasn’t exactly what I was imagining, but still good. The menu made it sound like it would be a salad on a pizza crust, but instead it was a salad surrounded by cheesy flatbread pieces(possibly the buffalo chips). I liked it so much that I’m going to attempt making my own version tonight! Oddly enough, my dad had the fish & chips and really enjoyed them. I enjoyed stealing his fries which were crispy and really long. If you’re looking for a quick, casual Italian bite, I think Lascari’s is pretty good. Lots of seats both indoors and outdoors too and not nearly as crazy crowded as the Olive Pit next door.

Not a big fan of Italian food and the only reason I came here was that the restaurant I wanted to go to was closed for Labor day. The food was amazing! Excellent Tiramisu, great sandwich and the made it exactly how I requested. Will definitely come here again.

3.5 stars! This is a casual version of the more formal Lascari’s that used to be where the Jamba Juice and Coffee Bean are located in Brea. I loved that place, despite the fact that the food wasn’t the most authentic, but it was definitely above average and hearty nonetheless. Thankfully, it’s nice to still have this place as an option because I’m happy to report that the food is super consistent and the prices are way more affordable! My favorite thing to order here is still the lasagna by far, which even comes baked in a ceramic dish and is served with two of their delectably soft rolls. I’ve tried a few other dishes here, like the spaghetti and meatballs, and the white fish, but I still find the lasagna to be the best thing on the menu. They’re especially generous with the cheese, marinara sauce, and meat… so you get a great ratio of all these flavors with the perfectly cooked layers of al dente noodles. I usually add either a soup or salad to my meal to round it out, which only costs an additional few bucks and is totally worth it. I prefer the soup over the salad because the salad comes with a mixture of garbanzo beans and kidney beans — neither of which are my favorite. Since this is a casual establishment, service isn’t the greatest and is almost non-existent, but that’s okay with me — I’ll happily clean up after myself, so long as they keep the lasagna and bread flowing! Now if only they would give out extra rolls like the sit-down version used to offer, this place would probably get upped to 4 stars ;)

Tried Lascari’s for the first time with my husband tonight after work. We didn’t even know that we came so close to closing time. Service was fantastic! Super friendly and didn’t rush us at all. We ordered a medium half cheese half pepperoni pizza and some garlic bread. We also redeemed the free buffalo chips checkin offer and was so surprised at how big it was! It’s the size of a medium pizza, pretty awesome! So we were the last customers to sit down and eat. Like I said we were not rushed nor asked to take our food togo. We were so impressed at how nice and awesome this place was! Our pizza was delicious! Definitely coming back here :) Loved it!

Boyfriend and I came here for a quick lunch, I’m glad we did! We both had the chicken Parmesan dishes and it was very delicious. If you’re going to use the Unilocal check in, I suggest getting the garlic bread. It’s really good and they give you a lot considering it’s a free side dish! The chicken to how much pasta they give you ratio is on the tee, I’d rather leave leftover pasta rather than not enough to go with my chicken. Ambiance is nice, very chill and relaxing. You can either dine in or take it to go. The waitress/cashier that helped us was very understanding considering I forgot to check in and show her my offer. Overall management is really nice, and I’m just very happy with this place! I would definitely recommend to eat here!

I had the spaghetti and meatballs this last time around, as classic as it gets! Love the meaty flavor in the sauce, it wasn’t too watery from the rinse from the noodles. Its good to rinse the noodles with cold water after you boil them in the pot, so they don’t get that overly sticky and dryness. Afterwards strain it good so you don’t all that rinse watering down the sauce. The meatballs, easy to break down, I think it could have used a little more pepper, the flavor was slightly lacking. There’s plenty of restaurants to choose from in this nice complex, but I really don’t think it’d be complete if Lascari’s wasn’t there. As far as a chain Italian restaurants this is definitely one of the better ones. I would definitely come back again and try something new, possible upgrade their review.

Decore: modern Italian 5 stars Clean and organized Service: 5 stars Thee manager and the cashier was very accommodating and nice. They wet prompt and explained things well. Food quality: 5 stars We ordered the spaghetti with chicken and Alfredo sauce, it came with a salad, garlic bread and free Buffalo chips because we checked in Unilocal… We also ordered calamaris, these were great. Not a lot of fillers and one serving was good enough. Overall rating: 5 stars The food was excellent. The pasta was moist, more than enough sauce. The broccoli actually went well with the Alfredo sauce. The free buffalo chips were excellent. Very good food. Best of all the manager(had a red plaid shirt) went out of his way to make sure we had all our food. The portions were much more than we expected and we had forgotten the buffalo chips and he found us and brought it out to the car. Good. food and great service. Definitely would return and recommend to others.

Lascari’s is one of my parents go to spots so when we came down to visit we checked it out. It’s a casual place where you order at the counter and then they bring your meal to you. We started off with the Antipasta salad and I had the lasagna and my wife had the raviolis. Everything was good but the service wasn’t too great as they forgot our salad and we had to ask for utensils. Not a bad spot Italian spot for a relatively cheap meal.
