Miller’s Ale House – Brandon

Food is great but service was not. Took 20 mins for our main course to be put in, appetizers were delivered and then she walked away without asking us if we were ready to order. Manager had to bring our drinks over once. Overheard the manager talking about how he had locked the doors 20 mins before they were supposed to close. Turned the lights off on half the restaurant before closed and we just decided to go

Always good food and pleasant servers. I’ve had a variety of different things on the menu and have been disappointed with any of the choices.

Service is always excellent. Food is always top notch. Relaxing atmosphere. Our go to place for an enjoyable night with friends.

I used to be a regular until about a month or so ago. My bf & I used to go there on Friday nights after work since it’s close to home. We decided to order something new, he got the Philly & I got the zinger mountain melt. The food was less than average, my zingers had no flavor whatsoever it didn’t even taste like it was chicken, not even the breeding tasted like anything. The best thing were the fries because they were really salty lol. We were hungry so we ate everything & didn’t say anything to the waitress, she seemed like she was extremely busy. Anyways I think Saturday night I wrote them an email & was surprised that 10 minutes later I had a voicemail from the manager wanting to talk to me about the experience. I give him props for reaching out to me so fast and called right back. Although he said in the voicemail he was going to be there all night, whoever answered said he had left for the day. Fine, called the next day on my 30 minute break only to be put on hold for 20 minutes, someone else answer and I told him I needed to speak with the manager and he said he would give me a call back that he was busy in the kitchen. Anyways I didn’t bother to call back again. I haven’t been back ever since.

Five of us went on Saturday night to have dinner, some beers and watch playoff football. It was very busy. We had to wait over 45 minutes for a table and we stood in the bar. It took a lot of time to get our drinks and even on refills it was a lengthy process. They were jammed in the bartenders were busy taking care of tables not those of us in the bar. They do have 42 big-​screen TVs. It was kind of funny to notice the different brands of TVs and the different quality and slightly different colors on the different screens. The waitress took a long time to get to us when we did get a table. I had a ribeye steak which was not even midi mediocre and it was way overcooked. Being that it took so much time to get it the first time I did not send it back. One of the gentleman had salmon and he said it was below mediocre as well. Nobody was very happy with their food. So here’s my take: go there for the drinks and a large selection of craft beers have some appetizers at the bar and watch sports. Then go have dinner someplace else.

Me and my friend stopped in for lunch. I had fried shrimp. He, a cheeseburger. The shrimp was ok but the tarter sauce was what ever sysco could sell them for under a buck. Mayo and sweet relish if your reading. The beer i ordered was flat. So i sent it back. I was told the beer was ok but sometimes the glasses aren’t rinsed so well. Burger was good. But the side of no salt fries came after the meal was done. Our server was linda. A fixture of 20 yrs was nice enough alrhough A little scatter brained

I drove from Clermont to meet up with my husband hes in training. When we sat down no one came to our table for 15 min then we ordered the Zingers they were awfull they used a different batter on them and the manager said thats not how you cook them Really we only been getting them for 10 years at ours by Disney. They were so short handed we won’t go back …

Blackened fish tacos were great! Substituted a salad for the black beans and rice. Valerie, our server, was awesome! We will be back :-)

A pretty nice clean bar, one of the favorites of Brandon.
The food is a little better then your average bar food but it is a fun place to go to drink and hang with friends. It can get very busy and very loud in here on the weekends so expect to be patient with the bartenders and servers trying to keep up.
We don’t come here often because of the crowds, but it is crowded for a reason! When people find a place they had a lot of fun at where they received decent service and didn’t pay way too much for drinks, they tend to go back.

Ale House has done it again! We both had the Jambalaya, and it was superb!!! We love this place!

Spacious restaurant with good parking, good for late night beers and appetizers. The food isn’t the best, decent service,.

Stopped by for a bite after a movie with the family. The service was great and the food even better.

Stopped in for dinner and found out the seafood boil meal was no longer on the menu. I used the online ‘Contact Us’ to let management know I was disappointed right after ordering. Less then 5 minutes later my phone rings, it’s the manager Joe G. and he tells me he just received my feedback and wants to know if I’m still in the restaurant as he’d like to talk to me. He comes over and tells me they can still make the meal, but no longer have mussels.
I don’t think I’ve ever had such a quick response. Hey switched my order and the food was perfect

If you want drinks and bar food with a calm and cool atmosphere, definitely pay Miller’s Ale House a visit. If you want an actual meal or hearty dinner, save time and money and eat elsewhere.
Tonight my husband and I returned to Miller’s because we saw online they had a 21oz Porterhouse for $ 18 and some change. We figured we would split it. Our waitress said it’s only available by request. After checking with the chef, she told us to our delight that they still had some left if we wanted to order it. So we did. She told us it came with two sides. My husband asked her if he could substitute a side salad as his side. She told us that could be done, no problem. I ordered a baked potato as our second side. Fast forward to our meal… The porterhouse was missing the filet portion completely. They tried to assure us that’s the way the cut is suppose to be. (Liars liars pants on fire!)
On top of that, it was under seasoned and extremely bland. Even with A1 sauce I couldn’t bring myself to continue eating it. I gave up… very disappointed.
To make it worse, when the bill came we were up charged on both the steak and the salad. Wish they would’ve relayed that information to us earlier.
I don’t think I’ll be back to Miller’s Ale house anytime soon… Unless it’s to get my drink on (which after this horrible experience I’m probably going to have to do anyways!)

Some friends and I had clinicals in Brandon for a few months and we came here every week. The drink of the day is always top notch and the food is great! We loved the zinger melt, burgers, Philly cheesesteak, and sweet potato fries.
We always chose to eat at the bar because we really liked the bartender. For the life of me I can’t remember her name, but she’s blonde and almost always wears funky, cute socks. Super cool, takes care of her customers, and no saccharine smiles or generic chit chat for the sake of tips.
I would absolutely recommend trying this place!

Love the sports atmosphere. The service was great. The food was reasonably priced and served to my liking

One of our favorite places, we come here every couple of months. Casual atmosphere lots of TV’s with sports and news, music, great food, great service.

Can also Try, My Fantasy Trip to Italy, Coffe And Amaretto or Coffee And Baileys. And Can’t Forget Mexico Kaluah (?sp).

First time here and it was a great experience. Our party was a lot to handle and our server was top notch. Food was delicious, great selection of beer, and tvs everywhere for the perfect sport outing. Steak was cooked perfectly and the bone in pork was also very good. Will definitely be coming back.

Service is awesome. Management very involved with all aspects and the food and choices are incredible. Must go. Clean, spacious and lots of parking.

I came here during on a football Sunday, and was surprised it wasn’t more crowded. It’s a great place to watch the game and the drink specials are pretty good. We got the pitcher of margarita which was good but a little weak. The food is awesome as well. Will stop back in if I get the courage to face Brandon traffic in the near future.

It’s a sports bar and it’s bar food.
I don’t eat here often simply because the food is sooo good and sooo not healthy. Yes there are healthier options but it is hard to go healthy with all the other great options.
Once a year I MUST get their nachos. They are layered with shredded chicken and cheese and I get the extras on the side (lettuce, tomato, sour cream) but you can get them served on the nachos. I have had several other food items and have no complaints.
In the 10 years I have lived in the area I have been here about a dozen time. Service has never been an issue. They are quick to get your drink order and follow up for your food just as quick. If the place is packed the services is slower but still good. Once in awhile I have had a new server and noticed that other staff members where watching and checking on us to be sure we were taken care of. I consider that a good sign.
If here to watch the games there are plenty of TV’s and every seat has a view of more than a dozen TV’s. You can ask to have «your game» put on near you. Once the place is packed they can not accommodate as easily because others are watching. If they are crowded ask before you are seated and they will do their best to get you seated with a good view of your desired game.

I have been going to this location since it opened many years ago.
In the past few years it has continued to slide in average. I was there on Sunday to watch a Football game that was not on local TV.
First the place is clean and certainly has every NFL game that is on. From there it went downhill. The service was slow even though it was not busy with several open tables during the peak of games.
I had the special «Lobster and Shrimp Scampi» ok, ok I know what was I thinking. But, It was the house special for the games and I thought they would do a good job. Overcooked mushy lobster pieces in a room temperature dish.
I thougth it funny that no one ever asked «How is everything?» Several waiters stopped long enough to take away plates etc, even the lady manager … but not one including our server, ever inquired about our meal. Maybe they knew and did not «want» to ask!
For a game I will stop but not to eat.

There’s an ale house in Brandon, where all the other servers go, once their shift is done. Pay Peter and Paul! Servers must be served. But seriously, if you’ve seen an ale house, you’ve seen this one. Brandon though, that’s an anomaly of the most ordinary order. If you’re there, I’ll be here, wondering how come? It’s inexpensive, utilitarian, and that can attract the most amazing people you’ve ever met.
