Ground Round Sports Grille

DO NOT GO HERE, EVER! Service was horrible, bar tender had no idea what he was doing. Three employees doing nothing, tables full of dirty dishes surrounded us… it felt dirty, just filthy dirty!

I tried them out after reading some good reviews on here and was utterly disappointed. The food was bland, overpriced, and the smell of ham I got on one of my sandwiches made me gag when I opened the container. I also got delivery (I live half a mile away) and they tacked on a 3.00 delivery fee, which is unheard of around here.
I will never waste my time or money on this trash again.

We came back and gave this place another try. It was a much better experience! We had a new server who was on her toes and extremely friendly! I’m telling you, you could serve the best food in the world but service really is key. We’ll be back if we’re ever in the area again.

Surprisingly good! The waitstaff were super friendly, and accommodating! I had a turkey burger that was really flavorful and juicy, better than a lot of burger house places I have eaten at! Also loved the popcorn they give you as you sit down. Enjoyed a game of bowling and had a great night!

Went here with a group and they were accommodating. The waitress was nice and the entrees were sizeable as were the drinks. They gave nice baskets of buttery popcorn as sort of an appetizer. The lay out of place is nice and they involve the customers in activities, in this case it was like a trivia night. We didn’t participate because we would’ve left before it ended but it was a nice touch. It shares the space with a bowling alley which you view from the resturant through big windows on a specific side. The food was pretty good. I’d go again.

Although I love this local bar that is also inside a bowling ally, I can’t lie about the fact this bar could do much better. The service is amazing and the food is par for a franchise establishment, but the lack of attention to detail May be costing the revenue at the end of the day. The place is naturally packed on the weekends due to the bowling ally traffic, but that doesn’t excuse the place from being wiped down. Over the bar area you will notice that the dust has built up so much that it looks like they might jump in my nice cold beer. Secondly, although the visible bar itself is always being wiped the organization and the presentation of the bar itself is horrible. I love this little bar, but their lack of attention to detail has caused me to review my past review of the establishment, and decrease my rating of Ground Round. Sorry guys.

Been in this place quite a bit. The service is ok sometimes, food is typical chain restaurant food not anything to brag about and the manager Jess (saw her trashed at The Office Lounge talk about unprofessional and gross LOL) is overly annoying but we always come back because it’s quick and cheap. The bartender who was there a few weeks ago told us to come on Tuesdays and Thursdays when she isn’t there LOL and the cops are always there when we are for some reason! haha it’s always dinner and a show at The Ground Round. I wouldn’t bring your kids.

Food is ok. I liked it better when you could throw peanuts on the floor. Good spot to watch games and personal beer coolers are sweet

I’ve eaten here a number of times and have always found the food to be tasty and the service attentive. Special note of our experience this weekend: my wife and I stopped by for a quick meal. She ordered a dinner salad with the dressing on the side. When they brought out the salad, the dressing had already been put on it. Before my wife could even say a word, the server apologized and said he would bring her a new salad with the dressing on the side, as ordered. The apology and the quick fix would have been enough. However, a short while later, the manager came by, apologized again for the mistake and said he would not charge us for the salad! Now, that really impressed us. Clearly, this is a place where they care about satisfying the customer, which is not something one can say about all restaurants. Our thanks to both server and manager. We will definitely return.

It is a clean restaurant that is the most important thing. My family loves it, my complaint is the boneless buffalo wings, that is my favorite bar food and the chicken
Was fatty I was disappointed in the quality of the chicken. But the kids loved the food,
And I ENJOYED THE ONION RINGS. So if the chicken improves this would be one of my favorite hang outs. And I would give it FIVE STARS.

Nice atmosphere, family friendly and the food was good but service was bad. Not sure what the issue was but waited a long time for our food. After the issue was addressed, the mangers tried to very hard to make things right. I will give it another shot based on their efforts.

Visited the Ground Round in Bradley Beach while I was there on business. Food was fantastic, fresh and large portions. I ate at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly and made me feel right at home! The bar was nice, great prices, sports everywhere, and not too loud but it was busy!
Perfect location, near the beach, near my hotel, and I will most definitely return!

First time on Sunday — we will be back!!! Another walkable choice for those in the Grove who want adult beverages! Space is very well done, lots of TV’s, good food and drinks, reasonable prices. My husband had a burger, I had the Italian BLT. I also like there are several choices for sides, not just the usual fries! And don’t forget the popcorn! (and peanuts upon request, but no shells on the floor, please, is their request!)

WE LOVE THIS PLACE !!! I love that they have specials everyday weekday. I love that they added NEW items to the menu including NEW desserts !! The Place is friendly, clean, fun and quick. The staff is phenomenal including the Manager Jessy who is AMAZING !!!. I say, come. eat. drink. watch a game or change the channel at your table tv !!

Ate here today for the first time. Before Ground Round took over, this place was a real loser. Now it’s fresh, clean and TV’s everywhere, including one that was at our table! Service was very good. Food was typical pub food, but done well. Overall, I would definitely recommend to others and go back myself.

We decided to check it out and had a great time. The food was very good and service was fantastic. It brought back memories of the ground round in Hackensack minus the peanuts.
