Snarfburger

Unfortunately this place has taken quite a nose dive. Overall, the quality is just so hit and miss that it’s rarely worth it to me anymore. The guacamole on the burger I had the other day was rank, frankly. Sadly, this is what happens when you’ll get business from undergrads regardless of quality.

You always get a prompt, fresh, delicious burger at a great value here. Bastien’s Sugar Burger in Denver is one of my all-​time favorites, and the Snarfburger is just as enjoyable. Put one in your face.

Giving Snarf 4 stars because it is the quintessential college spot for a quick burger and some sweet tea.
First of all let me just say that the tiny restaurant is packed with personality. Awesome set up with just a few seats indoors, as well as patio seating. It’ll take you back to your college days of eating cheap and throwing onion rings at your friends.
I always suggest just going for the classic snarfburger (maybe double up on patties!!). What’s awesomely unique is that they use hot sauce as a topping. Simple yet innovative and really packs a flavor punch!

This burger is delicious! I would drive to Boulder just for a meal here. It is a gem that we stumbled onto one day, and I am so glad we did! Simply delicious! Parking is a pain but well worth the effort!

I like greasy burger joints that emphasize good burgers and fries over fancy-​ass toppings. Snarfburger comes through in spades. A true blue burger-​shack, not for those who want a gastro-​pub vibe, or other Boulderish amenities.

Greasy burger goodness at Snarfburger! I had to try this place and am glad I did! This is a real greasy spoon! I can’t imagine what you smell like after a shift working the grill in this little burger joint.
Thin, greasy burgers, hot dogs, a couple sandwiches including Fried Bologna, custard, a few seats inside and a few tables outside. Very simple and effective! The place was absolutely packed with people and it reminded me of Charlie’s in Folsom… until I got my food anyway…
My burgers were pretty good… a bit overcooked, but the cheese really helped with that… The shakes are a bit of a letdown… They don’t have real ice cream and you can tell your shake is a fake. I’d like to go back when they weren’t swamped to see if the burger is better prepared.
I happened to be here on 4.20.16 and heard the grill girl say «this is the only holiday we are busy.» What a riot!

SO RUDE. The store may have been close to closing, but I came 15 minutes and that’s enough to make a burger. A girl literally stops me before I even set foot in the store and tells me they are closed and can’t make me food when it’s not closed, people taking orders, and eating inside. As soon as she rudely tells me she can no longer serve me, two customers walk by me and into the restaurant and another lady continues to take their order while the cook glared at me and made sure I did not enter. I don’t know why I was singled out, but unbelievably terrible customer service on your part Snarfs. If you’re going to turn someone away then turn the others away as well and not just single me out and give me hate glares from inside as people who walked right by me while I tried to come in and was rejected get to order food.

I stopped here on a whim, high on an emo craving for hot juicy meat. Snarfburger delivered. The burger was incredibly delicious, and I am pretty positive I will regret this tomorrow. Worth it. Also, the girl who took my order could not have been cuter. The entire crew was female actually, cool.

Really dank sometimes, the other times I get diarrhea, so it’s a toss up… Depends who’s working I guess. If it’s crowded they mess up, too.

Hands down the best burger place in Boulder. Always go with my standard order of the Snarf burger with Onion rings (which are out of this world!!!). Too bad they close at 10pm. I remember the days when they were open till 1 – 2 in the morning.

How many snarfburger employees does it take to put bacon on my burger? 1^st experience: ordered a double burger add bacon. NO BACON. 2^nd experience: ordered a double burger add bacon and a single burger and 2 sides of fries, when they called my name they told me «The one that says bacon on the wrapper is the double.» How do you write bacon on the wrapper and then YOU WRAP THE BURGER IN IT WITH NO BACON. 3^rd and final experience: ordered the triple B special burger which advertises a double burger with BACON and bbq sauce, I thought that if I didn’t add on the bacon maybe the employees that are so preoccupied yapping about how hung over they are and thats the reason why they had messed up a few orders before us couldn’t possibly forget the bacon. Welp Unilocal… thats why I am writing this to warn others. The only reason i gave 2 stars is because the fries. Honestly it is just bacon, but its the fact that every time I go there I leave a tip for incompetent kids that can’t get a burger right. If i was management I would go to McDonalds or Burger King and see if i could steal a couple of employees capable of making a simple burger.

This place is FANTASTIC! I am absolutely raving about this fine establishment! I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this marvelous eatery! Wow! The burgers! Wowza! So many layers of juicy goodness! Have I told you about the fries! Super good! Kowabunga!
But there was one time I was at Snarfs, Snarfing down a Snarfburger and there was this one employee – Danny, Donald, or Donny I believe his name was – who was SO RUDE. He made my boyfriend cry! He even seemed DRUNK! I just couldnt believe it. But he gave me a free burger and was kinda cute so like he kinda made up for it.
Overall, YOU SHOULD EAT HERE! ITS AWESOME

It is a simple shack, but that balances out the atmosphere of the place. They cook the food right in front of you and it is very tastey. The wait isnt too long, depending on how many people are there. It can get crowded since the building is small so it is better to go at slow hours. The hamburgers are classic and the fries are very good.

We decided to stop at Boulder on New Year’s Day which meant there weren’t really any places open to eat — Snarfburger was right next to our hotel and so we decided to walk over to bring the burgers back to our hotel room. The two girls working didn’t greet us, which was whatever, but while we were waiting for our food, one of them said to the other, «Isn’t it annoying when you get ready for closing and then all of a sudden there’s a rush of customers?»
Look, I get it. I’ve had the same conversations with my co-​workers in past work places, but never in front of someone waiting for their food. I know it sucks to work on New Year’s Day, but it’s not like we arrived ten minutes before they closed.
We got whatever the regular burger is, a strawberry milkshake, and a custard swirly thing (like a blizzard. Everything was fine, but nothing too special. I wish there were more big chunks of toppings in my custard blizzard thing. If you have a burger craving, this joint will satisfy it.

A quick stop for dinner on our way to Estes Park. A perfect cheap, greasy double patty to satisfy your crave. Get the spicy peppers too!

You can walk to here, pay little bit and get a very decent burger with frings, fries and onion rings, if you are living around the campus. What do you expect more from this area?

So this was a bummer.
Other reviewers are right – this place is definitely hit or miss. I came here once and had a great burger. But every time I’ve come back since it’s been a major let down. Tonight was by far the worst experience yet.
I came in and ordered a burger with no cheese, pickles, mustard, mayo, ketchup, or hot sauce. I received a burger with all of these still on it but the tomato, lettuce, and onion taken off??? And the burger was so drenched in mayo and mustard that it was a soggy disaster to eat. The onion rings were just as disappointing. Some were burnt, and others were literally just pieces of fried dough.
I doubt I’ll go back. It’s good when they get it right, but they so rarely do.

Don’t let the outer appearance of this small burger shack fool you! This quaint lil’ joint makes some seriously tasty (and filling) food, especially after a long day of outdoor activity. We were in need of some calories!
Being a vegetarian myself, I ordered the veggie burger and I can honestly say that it’s one of the best I’ve had. The fries are extra crispy and salty, and the frozen custard for dessert is to simply die for!
The only complaint I have is the flies that were buzzing around inside where you order. Not sure if it’s usually like that, but while I was there I couldn’t help but notice how close the flies were flying to where they prepare the food.
All in all though, I would most definitely return here for some yummy grub :)

Great! Why 5 stars? The bathroom was cleaner looking then the building outside which was a nice surprise, the burgers are fantastic, it’s clean inside and friendly inside, not to mention cheap!!! It is the perfect burger dive.

This place is hands down the best affordable burger joint in Boulder. Love the small shack atmosphere and I still can’t figure out why more places haven’t caught on to the hot peppers on a burger option. It’s so freakin’ good!
The burgers are incredible. Have a real deli classic feel to them. Good crisp on the patties. Shredded lettuce is actually adds a great freshness to the burger over the usual leaf lettuce. Make sure to take advantage of all the topping options. All of them are great and seriously do not overlook the hot peppers. They are dynamite!
