Worst food ever. Please get spices from Indian store out in Boulder. I tried vegetarian food saag paneer and ordered medium spicy and it was so blunt and no salt also. Samosa was the only good thing they have.

My absolute favorite delivery anywhere! The food is always good – I especially love the chicken tikka masala and I really like their naan. I see some other reviewers have docked stars for the food being too spicy, which has not been my experience: I always order the recommended «medium», and while yes, it’s spicy, it’s flavorful and if you didn’t want spicy, why eat Indian food?
The delivery can take a little longer than I’d like (I live in SoBo and it takes between 60 – 90 minutes) but it’s always worth it. And kudos to their delivery drivers: hands-​down the nicest drivers I’ve ever interacted with!

This is an AWESOME place for takeout! Starving after hiking and sad after realizing I had no food left in my fridge, I found this place on Unilocal and proceeded to order a veritable feast. I ordered through Unilocal — first time doing so — and my food came without a hitch a mere 15 minutes later! I was delighted, since the estimated time had been 45 minutes. Better yet, all the food was still steaming hot!
I got pakora, chicken momos, and saag paneer with garlic naan. Yes, it was a lot for one person, but it was able to sustain me for three meals. The pakora, crisp fried vegetable fritters, are delicious and come with two sauces. The momo are very similar to Chinese dumplings, but have a thinner skin. They come with a spicy tomato sauce that is different from what I’m used to (soy sauce and vinegar), but actually makes for a very tasty accompaniment. The saag paneer is mildly flavored but pairs great with the Indian rice and naan. I found myself digging for the paneer chunks! I think I picked the second spiciest option for everything, and let me tell you, it’s HOT. If you have a low spice tolerance, definitely choose mild. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have had better Indian food elsewhere, but for a takeout place, Gurkhas is still awesome.
Gurkhas on the Hill more than satisfied my Indian food cravings. The food is delicious, and the service is great. I’ll be ordering from them again for sure!

I went to Gurkhas pretty much every day when I was still living in Boulder. In fact, I was prompted to write this review following a conversation about how much we missed it. No better fast eat-​in take-​out Indian option anywhere I’ve lived since. Plus, their staff is crazy nice and the portions are huge!

90 minutes to get my food and they say it’s normal when I’ve ordered more than 30 – 40 times from them. I regret even ordering from them.
90 minutes? normal? seriously?
I’m sure I’ll get my food cold and it’s going to taste bland.

We waited 2 ½ hours for our food last night. Granted the weather was bad and they were super busy, but it still took a really long time. I called a few times and the people on the phone were very understanding. At first they offered a free entrée on our next order, which would have been enough. When the food still did not come I called to just cancel the order. Instead of canceling it they delivered the food and refunded my purchase. A good Free meal, albeit cold, and quality customer service gets these guys 4 stars in my book. I’ll be eating here again on the basis or courtesy alone

The food here is great and the staff is friendly! However, the décor is in the style of «cafeteria dungeon». Get it to go!

Went here yesterday for lunch, pretty great. The only thing I would suggest to Gurkhas is to make it an option to create a combination lunch, such as tikka masala with saag paneer, or something like that — little combo plates. It took longer than I was expecting, but not too long. The food was delicous. Just enough spice for me on the 3 level. And I would DIE if you guys do a lamb korma. Will go again for sure.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it took 25 min to get our food, including the naan appetizer. My sister ordered lamb chow chow and asked for the mildest option, but it was still too spicy. The guy at the counter said she had definitely been given mild (he verified this by checking the receipt, not the actual food… um, ok) and said all he could do was give her some yogurt, which he then didn’t do. He didn’t offer to make her something else, or give her a refund. Basically she was SOL. He also refused to add lamb to the aloo gobi for some reason.
The rest of the food was ok (the tikka masala was a little tomato-​y), but the prices were not amazing at $ 8−10/plate and the service sucked. Not worth it.

Crazy good food for a low price. Everything is spicy so bring tums. It’s worth the burn. The veg chow chow noodles are amazing. The portions are also huge like for 2 – 3 people.

I ordered delivery and they came pretty quick, within 30 – 45 minutes. I was really pleased with my food. The cheese naan is was fresh tasting. Everything tasted like it was made to order. I’m so pleased that they have spice level options for many of their dishes. I am sensitive to too much spice, so I am able to enjoy myself here. I’m looking forward to trying all the other types of naan this place has to offer.
Notes to Self:
Mango Lassi: Excellent get again
Cheese Naan: Pretty good, definitely get again
Mild Lamb Vindaloo: Greasy meat wasn’t tender, don’t bother. Just get chicken it’s cheaper
Pakora: Not worth the heartburn it wasn’t crunchy came soggy
Samosa: Came crunchy pretty good. But I prefer meat filled.

Their delivery was fast and delicious! Quantity served was just right with a little left over for later. I ordered the chicken tikka masala as a main course, which at medium spice was a touch hotter than I expected, but still great. Rice helped round this down a notch heat-​wise. The samosas were generous and filling, with perfect seasoning all around. The butter naan was just… naan. Don’t get me wrong, it was quite tasty, but I didn’t get any butteriness out if it, per se.
I will definitely order from here again whenever I am back in town.

My last meal in Boulder for this trip and what a great finish! I had the lamb wrap. It was awesome. I got a medium spice level which was perfect for me. Lots of veggies, lots of flavor and plenty of lamb. Very inexpensive too. I am looking forward to returning if I get back to town.

Delicious take-​out, will be calling again! The saag paneer was spicy just like I ordered.

Great chicken tikka masala!

Great Indian food. I got the lamb wrap which was a very generous size and lots and lots lamb meat. Not bad when you consider that most places charge you an arm for some lamb.

Solid place, cheap, no frills… scary location. Give it a shot!

I got takeout from here the other night and it was just what my heart desired.
I got the chicken tikka masala, which has the perfect amount of spice.
I also had the garlic naan — super garlicky but that was quite alright with me.
The samosas I ordered really hit the spot too, and were so full of flavor compared to those I’ve had from other establishments.
The lady who helped us was very sweet, definitely a plus.
I will be back, hands down.
