I rarely eat at this food court but i work across the street but my coworker gets her noodle soups from here and it looked fresh so I decided to get one. There was a large crowd at this counter compared to the rest of food court — which was a good sign. I looked at the menu choices for a minute or so from behind the mob and was promptly helped by a staff member who noticed the chaotic situation. She asked what I would like and i asked for the made-to-order beef noodle soup and she ask if i would like spicy or not. And I also asked for a switch of flat rice noodles vs the egg noodles which was not a problem. I chose not spicy today and the manager came over and suggested i should get mild spicy and I explained that I went to the dentist and my teeth are a bit sensitive. He responded warmly that then i should stick with non-spicy today :) Afterwards, I picked up my noodle bowl all packaged up for the road and I enjoyed the large amount of beef belly(slow-cooked perfectly), noodles, and fresh bok choy in a flavorful broth. Not to mention the reasonable price compared to the $$ and $$$ options on the same block. Made my afternoon. Will definitely go back to say hi and try their other made-to-order options.(Insert«Take My Money» meme)

This is going to be a short recommendation with our experience, rather then a detailed review. Please excuse and do provide your experience. Interestingly: Being vegetarian we often had dearth of choices in a Thai or Chinese restaurant. We spend couple of minutes talking to server on the customization’s she can do, so we can eat and get aroma of Indian Cuisine.
Soon chef of the food counter walked by and asked us — Do you want spicy and will you like Tofu? We responded«Yes» by nodding our head. He said I will serve you a hot vegetarian dish along with rice and noodles and you will like it. Our food Rice, Noodles and hot vegetables in soya sauce. It was simply amazing. The quantity was sufficient for two. Price: 6.45 $ Recommendation: It is in a busy downtown food court and me and Namrata recommends you to visit this place. There price is low, portion is big on top of it they serve fast and tasty food. I love this place and visit them again because of the Chef. He had a lovely smile. He made our day, Thank you!

This is a very good chinese food place. Their locations are usually in malls or off the beaten path, but that does not make them any less. I love the crab rangoons here.

Star rating: 1. CHEAP 2. BIG portions 3. FAST 4. TASTY Back in the day when I interned in the downtown area, my typical lunch varied from home leftovers to instant ramen to the occasional Wendy’s(eeks) and… Wong’s. Yeahhh… so what if Wong’s is technically Chinese fast food, located in the icky Corner«Mall»? Their specialty is not just Americanized Chinese food(sesame/orange chicken, crab rangoons, etc.) — they got some of the real stuff too! The quality of the food is comparable to what you’d get in Chinatown nowadays. Pretty big acclaim, I know. Who would’ve thought that this food court had delicious Chinese cuisine? The secret is to get the cook-to-order food, i.e. Singaporean noodles, beef & mixed veggies chow foon, Thai fried rice, etc. Other favorites are hot & sour soup, mini dumplings, and chicken with pineapples & peppers. Every so often they add new menu items, too. Most recent: wonton noodle soup for under $ 5! On the rare occasions when I’m shopping in downtown, I always grab a bite at Wong’s.

I have had food from here a couple of times and thats going to be the end of it. Every time I have had food here, its been bland and left with the feeling of having wasted 6 bucks. While you stand there trying to figure out what to order, the staff try every trick in the trade to make you buy there, including waving at you, asking«what drink do you want?», «Did you say you want Combo1». Goodbye Wong. Goodbye Corner«Mall»

I head here at least once a week from work to get Singapore Noodles for lunch. They’re always happy to make them to my specific order, and the food is always great(even other things, on the rare occasions when I order something else). The service is quick and the prices are low. Don’t let the sketchiness of the Corner Mall stop you from getting to Wong’s.

This is the spot for fake Chinese food or what some call Americanized Chinese food. I know my shit because I was forced into child labor for 10 years of my life at my dad’s restaurant. If you’re Chinese and your parents owned a restaurant when you were a kid, you know EXACTLY what I’m taking about. I still have flashbacks whenever I walk into a Chinese restaurant and see a little girl doing her homework behind the counter while answering phones. Oh yeah, this isn’t a therapy session. Back to the review… Although there is a Master Wok in South Station which is much closer to my work, I still make the trek up to the Corner Mall for Wong’s. There is always a crowd during lunch time, but they are quick to take your order. With one register at each end of the counter, you are in and out in a few minutes. The food looks good and tastes good, too. Oh, if you want more of the real stuff, that’s when you head over to Chinatown. You may find the fake stuff in Chinatown, too, but it usually isn’t that good.
