I had an amazing time as usual! But I wish Shannon was here, her hospitality is unreachable! Feel better soon!

Had lunch here during a conference and waiting a very long time. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are in any kind of hurry. Only one server and then a fill-in manager that was helping to take orders. We tried to order the easiest items off the menu and it still took 30+ minutes to get it.

Shannon is the best bartender ever! We stayed at the Marriott for a friends 21st and went to the Waterline downstairs. She helped us in choosing the perfect cocktail and gave us a few humorously truthful pointers on how to order drinks(since we are newbies). She made the experience worthwhile

Hosted an alumni breakfast here for UCSF. Easy place for a conversation and pretty views. Breakfast buffet was fine. Nothing to write home about.

Service, bad. Ballpark sliders, dry and overcooked. Fish and chips, as can be expected. Large fish and chips order could probably feed two if you get other items. Ordered a lemonade and saw my server pour it from a glass bottle like you’d get at a grocery store. I had a second glass that came from the same bottle but was charged as an entirely new glass. Was served in a wine glass with a straw… Classy. Here for 5 nights so will probably try again and hope for better.

Had lunch here while visiting, and I had the blackened chicken and avocado sandwich. I thought it was pretty good, along with their chips were pretty delicious. The service was great, ambiance is wonderful, great views, good location.

OMG. it’s 4:40…I waited 10 minutes for a cup of soup and another 10 for him to come back and almost 15 for my 3 appetizer tacos. So, an hour ago I was the only one seated on this side of the restaurant. Now it’s busy. Last night I ordered room service from the same restaurant and it came faster than in house. The food, well… man this is GOOD. Even my cold tacos taste very very good. They must not sell a lot of them because you cannot order a variety of them. It is either pork or beef or shrimp. Although the service was lousy, the food is very good. I could have eaten in 100 other places tonight, but I’m glad I picked this one. Hopefully the service will be better next time.

After being seated and waiting 25 minutes for someone to take our drink/food order or even fill our water glasses I decided if we did not want to starve we would have to put our order in ourselves. So long story short I had to walk over to the bar and place food and drink order. Still never to be acknowlged by any waitstaff the entire time. We had empty water glasses on our table and the menus. that should have been a hint to come over and acknowledge us. very dissapointing. Firsts and probably last time there, unless we want to place my own orders again.

Just here to meet up with friends for a few drinks. Casual atmosphere. Typical hotel bar with hotel elevated prices. Friendly staff. Convenient location if you are in the waterfront/Aquarium area but otherwise kinda out of the way.

Try the seafood stew! Lobster, calamari, mussels and clams. And vietnamese style Fried wing is good also. Halibut was perfectly cooked and comes with potato risotto. That was delicious. And great service. :)

This is one of the better hotel. restaurants I have been to. Their buffet is good and the crunchy French toast was very tasty. It’s a bit pricey but very convenient.

This was a terrible experience! The gravy was WAY to salty, the water I was given tasted like chlorine, the butter fried chicken was dry and tasted like curry, the strawberry mojito lacked strawberries, the tortellini tasted metalic and on top of that the Marriott said they were full on parking so we parked down the road and they didn’t offer to help pay for our parking yet we dinned at their restaurant and had to park else were because they were full! Terrible place! I would never eat there again nor never suggest anyone eat there!

Great service. Great location. Anything you can dip in the cheddar cheese sauce is awesome. Loved the Crab Cakes and the Clam chowder rates as some of the best I have ever had. If you can sit by a window with a view of the Harbor it is perfect. Enjoy your experience.

Reviewing as part of the«package breakfast» with hotel stay. Complete buffet with coffee, tea, juices, breads, granolas, eggs, bacon, waffle and omelette station. $ 50 credit for breakfast(that is an expensive buffet!). Waitstaff and kitchen chefs were great!

Went here for breakfast as it was the obvious option since we were staying the in the hotel for the wedding. I regret not venturing out for this meal, even though it was not breakfast. Service — boy was that lacking. We had a few issues and had to flag down our waiter every time. He was pleasant enough, just seemed uninterested in waiting tables. Whoops! He gave 3 of the 4 of of us water, guess they were experiencing a water shortage that day. I had to share with my husband, luckily he does not have cooties. Food — Paula Dean’s restaurant uses less butter than this place, yuck! I ordered the crab, mushroom, spinach, and potato scramble. It came sitting in a half inch of melted butter. I could see the dish glistening across the restaurant. Since I hate sending food back, I opted not to, I just had them drain my food on the waiters recommendation. In hind sight I should have just had them remake it as everything had already been saturated. I figured I would nibble on my english muffin while I waited for my food to drain and guess what I found, nooks and crannies filled with butter. Drat. My husbands $ 18 scrambled eggs looked and tasted like they were scooped from the buffet, though his bacon was quite tasty and we managed to get 2 of the 3 pieces crispy. Décor/Ambiance — It was fine, nothing special. Nice views of the side of the harbor though.

We arrived at Long Wharf hoping for more action, but in early November it seemed that our only«waterfront» options with a slight«waterview» for a drink were here and the bar at Legal Seafood. We were hoping for a view of the harbor while having a few drinks, but the tables in the bar area are oddly/poorly placed to facilitate a good view. The bar had several local brews and a fairly large list of wines by the glass. The drinks seemed overpriced with $ 6-$ 8 beers and 6 ounce wine pours over $ 10. 3, 6, or 9 ounce pours were available and priced out. The first glass of wine came in a measured carafe, and the second in the actual glass — filled to the brim and nearly double the size of the first. There were two bartenders, and we thought maybe one was more«strict» than the other. We ordered the buttered pretzel appetizer, which came with two types of mustards and a cheese sauce. It was tasty and hit the spot, but was definitely hotel/chain restaurant quality. The best part was our friendly waiter with his thick, Boston accent.

Stopped in for a couple drinks… didn’t touch the food, since I just had a heavy burger down the street. First of all, the atmosphere is very classy, chic, and comfortable. It was fairly slow the day I went, so it was easy to get my drinks rollin! Mai Tai($ 12): Appleton Rum, Triple Sec, Myers Dark Rum, and Lime. A strong version of this classic… pretty heavy on the Appleton, which is my FAVORITE rum btw! If you are not familiar with Appleton, it is a very strong/flavorful Jamaican rum, so if you are used to sweet white rums, this may be a bit much for you. Also tried the Allagash($ 9.50). Very high alcohol content(9%) for a beer… it was still enjoyable! Don’t expect a smooth surfer though with double the alc! The Pineapple Mojito($ 14): Malibu Pineapple, Mint, Lime, and Pineapple Juice. This was on the sweet end, but still pretty tasty. I finished off with Macallan 12yr… get this, $ 20! Goddamn that hurt… at least it was a heavy hand, but wow. Prices are a little high but not unreasonable on the cocktails. Given the atmosphere, I was happy to pay the prices… except for the Macallan lol. And no, he didn’t pour 15yr or better: P Check out the pics:

Food barely qualifies for an ‘okay’, but the service is terrible. I decided to eat at the hotel’s restaurant instead of walking over to the quincy market, to save time. But i ended up spending almost the twice time — the servers kept me waiting at every step. By the time paid bill, i had spent 1 hour 50 minutes. P. s.: did i mention i was eating alone. I understand that some places give you time to chat when you have company, but that wasn’t the case here.

As it says when you click on 2 stars, «Meh, I’ve experienced better», that about sums up the meal and the whole dining experience here. This was not on our must-try restaurant list for Boston. However, we got into Boston incredibly late due to our flight being delayed 3 times. Yes, 3 times. We were all set to board on time when we were told that the FAA delayed the flight by an hour. An hour came and went, then we were told it would be delayed yet another hour. Finally, we boarded, taxied out to the runway for take off, when the pilot said we had to go back to the gate because the plane was low on some type of fluid. An hour after that, we finally took off and had the fastest flight ever to Boston. We landed to pouring rain, at this point, past 10 p.m. After getting to the hotel and being really hungry, the restaurant in the hotel was open until 1 a.m. So… it was either get a bite there or eat nothing. We checked into our room, then went to the restaurant. But I digress. This was a Friday night and the restaurant was filled with rowdy people celebrating the Bruins win. We were seated and given menus, then watched as servers kept passing our table. My husband asked one if this was her section, she said«no». Finally, my husband found the manager who came to our table, apologized and took our order. A few minutes after taking our order, a server showed up. She said that they were short-staffed that night. That was the only time we saw her. The manager ended up bringing our drinks and food. The kitchen was extremely slow. We both ordered their turkey sandwich which, in addition to the turkey, consisted of watercress, roasted tomato, baby Swiss cheese and basil mayo. It was edible but very lackluster. My husband had a beer while I got a mixed drink. I can’t remember what it was but it was strong. When the manager brought the check and we paid, my husband told him he should keep the tip because he was the one who waited on us. The manager said that he was going to give it to the server. I know that restaurants tend to not allow managers to accept tips. But still… Normally, if we were seated in a restaurant and no server showed up in a reasonable amount of time, we would just go elsewhere. However, given the horrible weather and the late hour, we were a captive audience(of sorts). This restaurant also serves a weekend breakfast buffet which is expensive. And, no, we didn’t try it. So…I would say give this restaurant a pass. If you stay at the Boston Long Wharf Marriott, this is the restaurant that does room service. My advice would be to nix the idea of room service here unless you, for some reason, have no other choice.

SO many great things about this place! I live in the North End, but I still come here to get drinks and feel pampered. 1. A couple years ago, my boyfriend at the time was being deployed to Afghanistan. We decided, just the two of us, to have his going away dinner Waterline(It was named something different at the time, but same faces/staff). We got a bunch of things to eat, as well as drinks. The server was amazing and so attentive. My boyfriend was wearing his dress blues to dinner, and the server gave us the ENTIRE meal free to thank him for his service. Even after us INSISTING to pay, he still comped the whole meal + drinks. Of course we still tipped him generously for his kind act. This is a HUGE reason why I come back. 2. The new layout has COMFY couches that have outlets and their own mini televisions. Many times I brought my laptop here(wi-fi) and did work, ate, and watched games in the privacy of my own comfy couch. Love it! 3. The scenery is amazing! 4. Drinks and food are well priced! I would recommend this for a nightcap or dessert.
