Amazing service and awsome food. Stopped in here by chance. Will now become a regular when visiting BU. Thanks for the great lunch.

Stopped by University Grill & Pizza on a Saturday night for dinner. I’d been working late on campus and wanted to try something new. I had walked passed University Grill & Pizza many times and never really given it much thought. So I decided to finally give it a try. The place was surprisingly full for a Saturday night. I decided to try the Greek Salad Roll-Up. It came out fast and was HUGE! It was the length of my elbow to my wrist. The pita was wrapped so nicely around the lettuce, tomato, onions, olives, cucumbers, and feta. It was truly a wonderful Greek salad in wrap form. And for the price, it was definitely worth it! Glad to have discovered a new spot to get a fresh wrap when I want my Mediterranean fix.

I went to school here and just visited — I’ve forgotten how good these guys are! Burgers, all day breakfast, sandwiches, REASONABLEPRICES, and the guys behind the counter are all super-cool. If you go to BU take a break from the dining halls, stay away from Subway down the block, and take a trip here!

I go to BU and whenever I walk by this place I always wanted to try. I really like gyro but I couldnt find a good gyro near campus or my apartment. They were advertising gyro so one day I just went in. Gyro was really good! It had A LOT of meat inside! But because it had too much meat and little bit of lettuce and tomatoes, it was a bit too salty for my taste. But it was still so good so I went back a week after. Ordered gyro again but this time I asked them to put less meat and more veggies, which came out to be even more delicious than the first time!!! It wasnt too salty and had more fresh taste. People working there are very nice. Place is pretty small and it tends to get packed during lunch hour since its right in the center of university campus.

Gyro was pretty good. I liked the meat and the sauce. Side greek salad had a good bit of variety(too much dressing). Fries are fine(frozen to fry). Chicken wings were sub-standard. They were small, little meat, and mostly batter. Caesar salad was like a salad in a bag mix.

Went to Greece over the summer and I must say, the Gyros here are comparable to the real thing.

Pizza is good. Serving is fast and service is also good. However, Space is limited. At busy hours, there is no place for you eat in the restaurant.

Fantastic place for BU students — their mega slice is unbeatable when it comes to price and never disappoints! They guys who work there are really friendly and sweet. Service is always fast and it’s nice to sit in the window and watch all the action on Comm Ave. So glad I finally started going here!

U-Grill is simple but very solid and has very fair prices. Nothing on the menu particularly stands out, it’s burgers, pizza, sandiwches, gyros and the like, but that’s okay because the cooks execute all of these really well. The burgers and fries don’t have the special toppings of their nearby competitors, but they’re generously proportioned and have a more honest taste IMO. The décor is fun too. The cashier/cooks all have very upbeat attitudes which really invites you to come back for more. All in all, a really nice place for quick, fairly cheap comfort food.

Fantastic spot. Extremely friendly, nice staff. The food is fantastic. I highly recommend the souvlaki. It’s not the cheapest place around, but the food is really great, made fresh and right there, and is worth it. One of the few places on Comm Ave near BU that really stands out.

I once said that studying = 60% eating … Without food during finals. me = not a happy camper. You can imagine my feeling during finals week when the clock struck 9 and I realized I hadn’t had dinner yet. no bueno. luckily… University Grill and Pizza was still open! for six dollars you get a whopping slice of pizza and a bottle of soda. mmmmm I took the last slice of pepperoni that night. twas amazing. If you do pizza takeout. get a buncha napkins! They toss the pizza in a little brown bag… which means grease galore. Quick and tasty. filling to your stomach.

It isn’t very pricey, the guys working there are nice, and the burgers, wraps, and fries are better than Rhett’s or any place nearby. The only problem is the lack of seating inside, but there isn’t anything they can do about that. Plus if you’re having a bad day there’s nothing better grabbing a pile of steaming, crispy french fries and a coke. And in that sense this place delivers big time.

I don’t go to UGrill often but I always enjoy my food when I do. It’s pretty standard American/Greek fare — the chicken gyros and burgers are great. I always see the same guy working the counter, he’s super sweet and cute.

U Grill was on my bucket list of places to check out while at BU. For the past three years, I’ve walked by U Grill without so much a glance, but I decided to take the chance this summer to try it out. How regretful I am to have not discovered its awesomeness sooner. Admittedly, I’ve only tried the chicken soulvaki & gyro(both Greek items) since there’s a mysterious lack of Greek food in Boston. Seeing as the establishment is run by a Greek family, you know the Greek food is authentic here. Compared to the«Greek food» served at Steve’s on Newbury St., U Grill is like a blessing in a college sub shop disguise. I wasn’t interested in the burgers, pizza or subs, but I do hear that U Grill can excel in these items too! I now have to resist the urge to order a chicken soulvaki here every week.

Almost everything I’ve eaten here has been awesome. I would recommend: any pizza(especially a slice), any burger, or any sub. Their fries aren’t bad either, and the Greek salad is as advertised. I tried their pasta once(I got pasta with chicken and broccoli) and it was sub-par(pretty much flavorless, however it was a very generous portion)… So basically just don’t order that and it’s the best place ever. The guys who run this place are always friendly and easy to talk to. I can only imagine what it’s like to see a new customer walk into this restaurant with a glazed look over their eyes, staring at the big menu on the wall(must be maddening), and they’ve always been patient until you were ready to order(at least in my experiences). So go eat here already! Oh, and it’s cheap.

University Grill is a great place to grab a bite to eat right before a class. It has the convenience of a deli, but the menu of a diner. Family-owned and operated, you can tell by tasting the food that the guys have pride in their business. That said, you haven’t LIVED until you have had a gyro from U Grill! Because the family is Greek, you won’t find any frozen lamb slices here — you watch as they cut off the meat cooking on a spit right in front of you! You can top it anyway you want(onions, tomatoes, lettuce), but don’t skimp out on the homemade Tzatziki! YUM! If you like gyros — you’ll love them at U Grill. If you’ve never had a gyro — make sure your first is at U Grill If you hate gyros — try one from U Grill, and you might change your mind! But do yourself a favor… when you order a gyro from a Greek, pronounce it «yee-roh.» After all, you wouldn’t order«gah-no-chee»(gnocchi) for dinner at an Italian restaurant, would you?

I been going to the U Grill since back in 2001 when I landed in Boston as a freshmen at BU. 10 years later and 2 degrees under the belt and I still make it a point to drop in whenever I find myself in that part of town. The owners are great and are real Greeks who make you feel like your part of the family. While their may be a better burger joint in Boston, if your on campus this is definitely the sport to go.

The U Grill is a subshop on Comm Ave located near Boston University. It is definitely the go to place for takeout in the neighborhood… the people that own it are super nice. no seriously so nice. They greet everyone with a smile and are so genuine with it. So they have your basic subshop items. and they also have Greek food too. Their gyro is AMAZING! The yogurt/cucumber sauce on it is so delicious too. What I usually have from there are the basics like BLTs, eggplant parm subs, salads, and even a hotdog … and they are all delicious and something we want to go back for when we’re in the area. LOVE these Greek boys!(and they are cute too, so that doesn’t hurt!)
