Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. Very good pizza and service. Had the bianco and crispy eggplant pizzas which were both really good. Also had the mac and cheese as a side. Would definitely come back again for dinner.

Love the pizza from this place. I enjoy it so much that I even went through a phase when I would order a whole pizza once a week. The topping combination are incredible. The pizza is always cooked to perfection and its never swimming in oil like some others. I love how casual, small and cozy its inside. another plus is that is very close to public transportation and they serve wine and beer.

Love the atmosphere, trendy but casual. The hubs and I split a Greek Salad and the Red Sox pizza. Pizza comes is one size fits all and let me tell you dat pizza size is HUUUUUGGE! We tend to pride ourselves on being able to finish whatever size pizza we order and the two of us could not do it with this one. The Red Sox was a red sauce pizza with red peppers, onions, sausage, mozzarella and a lemon aioli drizzled over the top. So fresh and the pizza crust was so delightful… perhaps if we had another hour and no plans to go for dessert later we could have polished it off and rolled each other back to our hotel. ***Insider Tip; you can split your pizza and do half and half on the toppings to sample more of their specialty pizza combinations! We didn’t know that before but I definitely recommend doing it that way because dat pizza is huuuuugge.

When my wife and I lived in Charlestown, we use to frequent Figs often. We moved away in 2010. While passing through the area again in 2016, we came back to see if we still liked it. Turns out, we do — we love it! We started with the Bacon Brussels Sprouts. So tasty. For pizza we ordered the Bronx bomber. This pizza is so perfect! The service is still superb, the atmosphere has a quaint neighborhood feel. Can’t wait to be passing through again!

Stopped in here for some delicious calamari pizza. My servers name was Nicole I believe. I ordered a glass of sangria, which she suggested while We waited and it was spectacular. For a Sunday there was a good amount people in the room and it was a seat yourself operation. The tv was on to kill the time and even though the bartender was tending to the entire room, she was happy and making conversation with us and hustling to make everyone happy. The place is clean, bright and a great asset to the Charlestown neighborhood. We had the asparagus app as well which was delicious. We split a bread pudding which was also fantastic, not as good as tavern 27 in Laconia NH which is the best in the world, but yeah pretty good… All in all, if you can find a parking spot, it’s well worth your time…

We arrived on a Sunday soon after opening at noon. There was one other table at that time, an adult with several small children. We were seated by seemingly the only server. I asked if they had a rosé wine. The server said she’d check. She disappeared… well, actually, she was checking her phone at the bar and ignored us… and she did not come to our table for another 5 to 10 minutes. When she reappeared, I said I had asked about the wine. She said she’d give me a taste because I asked about how sweet it was. She then disappeared for another 10 minutes. Only to reappear to the take the orders from a table just recently seated, 15 at least minutes after we were. She was busy with this three top for another 10 minutes or so. We had still not been given the opportunity to order food. We ordered two apps, the asparagus fritto and the calamari. She dropped off the plates and disappeared again. She did not check back with us to ask how the food was. The asparagus was so tough it could not be cut into bite sized pieces to eat, nor could it be chewed. While we were waiting to tell her about the asparagus problem, a woman with a toddler stood at the entrance for at least 10 minutes, waiting to be seated. She was the fourth table to be occupied. When she did surface again, we saw her cutting pizza coming out of the brick oven. Apparently this was something the pizza cook needed assistance with. She did take off the asparagus from the check, but left the uneaten asparagus on the table. It was still there after we paid the bill and left. We won’t be back.

Stopped in here tonight with four of my girlfriends for some pizza and apps because I had bought the Unilocal groupon. for apps we tried the Brussel sprouts and the asparagus, and for pizza we did 3 half and halfs– fig and prosciutto, bacon, Red Sox, calamari, white pizza, and pulled chicken. I was really excited to try the calamari pizza and the asparagus, but was kind of let down by both. the calamari was kind of chewy and not very well seasoned. the Brussel sprouts, fig and proscuttio pizza, and bacon pizza were all so good though! prices were also reasonable and it’s nice that they do half and half pizzas so you can give everything a try. The atmosphere is also really nice. it’s quiet and understated and makes it a nice place to sit down and enjoy each others company. I would definitely recommend stopping in here!

Well had relatives in town and took them to monument in Charlestown. And walked down to Figs for pizza. We ordered cheese and an eggplant. I would say with all the solid brick oven pizza around Boston, this falls into the safe uninspiring Za category to satisfy a Weary tourist. Sadly, It almost makes Bertucci’s seem innovative. Just too chewy crust with bland tomato sauce and cheese. The kids even asked why didn’t we go to Otto«sigh»

I don’t usually post reviews, but my experience tonight at Figs made me want to warn others. We should have read recent reviews before we went — the meal started off well, but quickly went downhill. For a place that specializes in pizza, you would expect them to be able to turn them out fairly quickly. We started with the beet salad, which was good, but then waited about 40 minutes for our pizza to arrive — and when it did, it was mediocre at best. We then proceeded to wait for 25 minutes after we were done eating to pay. Would have been 2 stars, but they were aware of the slow pizza service(a few tables around us were waiting as well) and brought us a round of drinks while we waited.

Last week I had lunch with my parents at Figs. While the service was slow, the food was tremendous. I ordered the beet salad and added shrimp. It was by far on of the most delicious salads I have ever had in my life. That says a lot considering I eat salad almost every day. Specifically, the way the shrimp was cooked absolutely blew my mind. Absolutely sensational. My parents ordered a pizza and got half fig and prosciutto and half mushroom. As a non meat-eater, I tried the fig pizza(sans the prosciutto) and nearly fell out of my chair it was so delicious. All in all, a wonderful restaurant with great casual ambiance. We will be back!

Service was great, atmosphere was great, food was spectacular. We ordered half Red Sox half Bomber(pep.) and the Gnocchi. The pizza was good, nothing special that is too different from other pizza places in the same realm in the Boston area. The Gnocchi though, amazing. Arguably the best pasta dish I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, savory, perfectly salty. The cheese sauce and the tomato sauce are a combination met in heaven.

Hubs and I were in a pizza mood and wanted to try something new. We headed over to Figs after work, right when they opened. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially on a chilly night. The interior is dark and intimate, with just a few dozen tables. The staff is welcoming and sweet. The caesar salad was insanely good — fresh and flavorful! The pizza, however, was just ok. The toppings and cheese were delicious but I was not a fan of the super thin crust. It’s too dry and cracker like. I like a soft, smooshy crust with lots of sauce and this pizza is the total opposite of that. This pizza left me with an unbalanced bite — too much dryness and not enough moisture. I think the pizza would be much better with more sauce and a bit more cheese, and the crust unchanged.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday and the place was pretty much empty except for another party of four. We sat down to receive the complimentary bread. While it was good it wasn’t the best bread I’ve ever had. But it was free bread so I’m not complaining. We had half prosciutto & figs and half calamari! The figs & prosciutto was good but very sweet. The calamari was a good choice to balance out the sweetness! The calamari pizza was good but not outstanding. The sauce they put on the calamari pizza definitely makes the pizza… The calamari alone is very bland. The waiter did a good job of refilling my water but it he would disappear at times making it hard to ask for the check. The pizza is huge and between the two of us we could barely finish half! The amount of food you get for the price is worth it alone as you can get two meals out of it!

I ate here for the first time a couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. Figs is on a cute street in Charlestown. The décor is understated and not pretentious. The wood floors are beautiful. Anyway, the food… we went for lunch and the menu mainly consisted of salads and pizza but there were a few mains as well. To start I had the cold version of their soup of the day. I can’t remember what it was called but it had a nice coconut flavor to it. For my main course I had the salmon which came with polenta(there were cranberries in the polenta. so different, but so good!) and broccolini. My only complaint was that the seasoning they used to cook the broccolini had a very distinct taste and overpowered the rest of the meal. However, the salmon was SOGOOD. It was cooked perfectly, and was the best part of the meal. Also, the people seated next to me, ordered pizza which looked and smelled delicious. I will definitely be trying their pizza my next visit. In terms of service and atmosphere. Like I said, it is a very understated and a bit small, so I could see if you tried to come here on a weekend it could get a bit loud and crowded. The service was about average which I liked. Not too attentive, just there when you need them. My only complaint is that when I asked for tea, they said they don’t serve any hot drinks. This seemed so strange to me and I wonder why, especially in Boston when it is getting cold. Anyway, all in all, it was a great restaurant and I will definitely be back.

I want to preface this with, the food was amazing. I will gladly get takeout from here again. But that’s where the good ends. First our waitress forgot to enter our order. She came back and had to ask us what we ordered. Oh well, we weren’t in a hurry. Then our pizza came wrong. Instead of replacing the pizza, we get a weird small pizza with burnt edges and a cold rest of pizza we had left. The waitress did try to make it right in the end, so I do give them that.(Made it a 3 instead of a 2) but overall just not a pleasant dining experience

Had to, just had to try it. One of Todd English’s first restaurants. So we went for lunch. The food was excellent. Parking was not the easiest to find but circling and circling was worth it. In NY where I grew up pizza was thin crust in a wood burning oven with sauce and cheese just a classic pizza, and we were happy. Not anymore. The Fig and prosciutto pizza was amazing. Who knew you could have pizza with out tomato sauce(ok I knew but it sounded better!) The crust was nice and crisp with a little char flavor which was balanced by the sweetness of the figs with just a hint of salt from the prosciutto. I was surprised to see Brussels sprouts on the menu but they came highly recommended as did the meatballs. A very delightful afternoon.

A few of us were starving after completing the freedom trail one evening. Some locals pointed us here saying that they are known for large delicious pizza. Great, I’m in! Oh, and it’s by Todd English so that’s gonna be interesting. However, in actuality, the pizzas(or flat breads) were only just ok. I got a whole Spicy Chicken Sausage myself while my vegetarian friends shared the Portebello and the Crispy Eggplant half-half. All of us felt neutral about the meal, definitely not bad but not that good either. They’re just… regular flat bread with some fancier sounding toppings, meh. The crust was extremely thin and about 1⁄3 of mine came burnt. Also, don’t be intimidated by the size of the pizza. They’re not that filling since they are so thin. It’s totally ok for a person to order a whole pizza, though the problem is that there might not be enough space on the tables to put them. P. S. If you still see the«free beer» check-in offer, sorry to disappoint you but they’re not actually doing it. It’s not their fault though. Unilocal doesn’t allow it.

Good thin crust pizza at a good price. They have a lot of unique topping combinations. I got ½ fig and prosciutto and ½ chicken sausage. The fig and prosciutto was my favorite. Didn’t enjoy the chicken sausage as much as it was kind of dry and had a crumbly texture to it. Next time I would order the calamari. At $ 21 it was a good price and enough to share. Place is small but cozy and in a nice neighborhood.

I came here on a whim with my family while looking for somewhere to get a quick snack. Our«quick snack» turned into a full-blown meal when we realized how fantastic the menu at Figs was. We ended up ordering the Meatball Sliders, the Brussels Sprouts(as recommended by our waitress) and a pizza which was half Fig and Prosciutto, and half Red Sox. Before our meal arrived, we were treated to some of the best pre-meal bread rolls(in this case it was foccacia) I have ever had — tender and chewy with a delicious seasoning on top. The Fig & Prosciutto pizza was one the best pizzas i’ve ever had, with a light crust and a blanket of soft prosciutto over a ton of figs and prosciutto — it’s massive and definitely worth more than they charge! The Meatball Sliders were soaked in a cheesy marinara sauce that put a lot of the North End restaurants to shame. I’ve never been a big fan of Brussels Sprouts, but the chef at Figs made me reconsider making them a commonality in my diet — they were SO buttery, and perfect alongside the bacon chunks. The waitresses were all very friendly and eager to suggest popular items on the menu. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have experienced those delicious Brussels Sprouts!

Great pizza — quality toppings and a blend of crunchy and soft dough. I often come here for pizza and have always had great experiences with the food and service. The pizzas are big and easy to share. The bread and olive oil that comes first is out of this world. I will definitely continue to frequent this establishment.

Food: They allow you order pizza ½ one topping and ½ another so I’ve broken it out below. ½ Figs & Proscuitto — Everyting is on top of a crispy thin flatbread in a rectangular form served on an upside town metal tray. Wonderful tang from the balsamic jam balances well against the saltiness from the proscuitto. Everything just melded well together especially the sweetness from the figs that offset the tangingess and saltiness. ½ Crispy Shrimp — This was on their specials menu. The crispy shrimp came out smelling great but not as numerous as I wanted. I’m not saying there wasn’t enough but they could have been a bit more generous with it. The heavy garlic flavor definitely was the key though and brought everything together. Mac and cheese — Definitely not your average mac and cheese. We ordered this cause we were just curious. This was basically alfredo sauce replacing chedder cheese you would normally use. Tasted amazing. Location: The Charlestown location is not particularly large but there is a small bar and good number of tables and chairs. There was also plenty of people coming in to pick up pizza so this place does a fair amount of take out. Service: We came Sunday for dinner and the bartender was taking care of pretty much everytying. He gave menu, took order, filled our water, served our drinks. Even with tables getting filled up he still did a good job being everywhere at once. Verdict: Definitely will be back to try the other menu items.

My husband and I were having a late-night breakdown because after a long day of walking all around Boston, we were too dang tired to go out again for food, no matter how close. Well, we searched and searched and searched and had just about given up because none of the delivery places with decent reviews had gluten-free options. It was quite the frustrating experience because I can’t just eat gluten one night and move on with life. I can’t eat it the stuff. Anyway, so I finally decided to just start calling places and asking 1. if they delivered and 2. if they could make their pasta dishes gluten-free. Eventually, we got to Figs, and they said no prob. I didn’t know it at the time, but you can even order online. I wanted to try that place anyway, so win! It was 30 minutes before close, and they gave us no trouble. The order arrived promptly and piping hot. I ordered the Tuscan bolognese. It was creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I can taste the cheesy, meaty goodness now. They managed to make it so creamy and the pasta was so tender that I was actually scared that they might have made a mistake and not given me gluten-free, but they didn’t make a mistake at all. They just have skills like that, and I’m glad they do. My husband ordered the chicken oreganato, per suggestion of the worker on the phone, and he said that it was seasoned and cooked to perfection and was actually the best grilled chicken he ever had. Let me tell you, he and I both grill some amazing chicken at home, so that is saying something. My husband doesn’t just dole out such compliments for this sort of thing. He said that chicken was the best thing he had on our trip, and we ate a plethora of crazy delicious eats. He did not, however, understand or like the croutons on top, which just ended up soggy and useless. To look at it, I didn’t get it either, but the dish looked delicious otherwise. I’d love to go dine in at Figs next time, and I wish I went there over a certain over-priced spot in the North End. The prices at Figs were up there, but no more than any other Italian place in the area, and even slightly lower but with way better quality. Thanks, Figs, for a last minute, late night win! You saved the first night of our trip!

The meal began with a round of Whale Tale beer on draft and progressed to shared appetizers to including meatball sliders, crunchy calamari with pimiento and greens and Greek salad. Every plate was licked clean. We then placed our entre order and decided to take a photo and write the review. Tom on the far right says: «Home run!» Mary under the Fig logo says: Under the fig leaf., this is better than Alice’s Restaurant… Kyle to Mary’s right says: «Now that’s a pizza!» Shakti in the far right with the big smile says: Good friends, good food, a winning combo! The Photographer says: Manga! Come one, come all to enjoy good times and great food at Fig!

Popped in on a Friday night, sitting at the bar. Pretty open. Still like the character of this place — half open pizza stove. Had a diet IBC root beer — LOVE that they offer this. We shared a warm bacon and spinach salad — lots of spinach and full of big chunks of salty bacon. I love their bacon. The bread they serve is SO good — especially w the olive oil they give with it. I had some chicken parm sliders — pretty good. Woulda liked a little more red sauce in them, but they were a good size, good amount of cheese, and the parm was nice and flavorful. We also got some bacony Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were pretty bland, which ended up being balanced out by the delicious salty chunks of bacon. Our bar tender/server wasn’t impressive. Not very attentive — made us feel like we were annoying him whenever we’d ask for anything. Food is good, we’ll be back

Definitely a fan of this place. I tend to be picky about pizza because I am particular about the crust. This place nails it for me. I tried it for the first time because there was a coupon on Gilt City, which is usually a good excuse to try a new place to add to my favorites list(or not.). Awesome all around. First stand out was the fried calamari appetizer. So so so good. It’s a big portion as well, honestly it could’ve been a meal for one person if you really wanted it to be. Next stand out was the pizza with a balsamic and fig sauce and prosciutto. Ugh. Magical. Atmosphere in the place is a little noisy and maybe a little cramped as it’s not a huge place. There are definitely a few tables that are kinda squished in the corner, but it kinda makes it cosy too =P I’ve definitely preferred going later at night when the dinner rush has died down. Service has been excellent every time I’ve gone. Attentive, polite and quick. No complaints there. I’m a fan for sure. Todd English, bring Olives back please!
