I think I did the same thing as Kristine M. After lunch at Phở Hoa and an unsuccessful stop at C Mart where the lines went crazy, we wandered into See Sun, maybe a block away. If wasn’t crowded, wasn’t as big, and didn’t have the selection, but this is the place where I actually bought something. Prices were way better than my local supermarket, though I didn’t compare them to C Mart. My nose didn’t overload on different smells in this market, either. If C Mart is crazy, this is the place to go. And if C Mart isn’t crazy, you should still check out See Sun.

What a great market. My husband and I were in Chinatown and needed to buy some stuff for Chinese New Year. After going to Eldo Cake house, we decided to try out See Sun instead of venture into the madhouse that is C-Mart. What a pleasant surprise this market was. While not nearly as big as C-Mart, it’s much cleaner, much more pleasant, and less crowded. The people working there were very helpful. The prices were ridiculously cheap, especially for things like soy sauce, noodles, and tea. They had a good selection of lap cherng and a small butcher and seafood counter. The produce section was lacking a little, but there are plenty of other places to get good produce in Chinatown.
