Edit: I just walked over to Roly Poly, only to discover that they disappeared! No more Roly Poly in Boston. :( If you’re watching your calories, or just want a nice little wrap, go to Roly Poly. They have a wide menu, and you can«roll your own» to make pretty much anything you want. They sell half-wraps as well, which is good for those who aren’t very hungry(because they are pretty tiny), but that is great since the half-wraps are all around 300 – 350 calories, perfect for a small lunch. I’ve tried two, the chicken pesto, and the hickory chicken, and both were pretty yummy. I’ll definitely go again.

I gotta be honest. I feel like the reviews were a bit of a let down on this site. I decided to go here for lunch today and I was craving some kind of turkey concoction and the menu online had caloric intake anddd great descriptions. a win win for a health conscious female. The staff was super friendly and sang along to «Angel is the(or in the?) Centerfold» which I found extremely amusing. The wait wasn’t bad at all for a 12:15 lunch and I walked back to my office to open my half turkey cape codder(half is PLENTY big enough). I gotta agree with Laura G. my sandwich was a thin slab of turkey with more wilted lettuce then one could dream of and some walnuts and craisins dispersed throughout. There was some funky dill in there too that did not fit my fancy at all(not a dill fan, should have ordered without) and hardly any balsamic dressing. i think they took the word«drizzle» too seriously. I’ll definitely try it again cause that’s how I am… second chance sally over here. Hopefully I’ll be more impressed next time.

Finally, I found a healthy option for lunch that doesnt resort to boring salads. The wraps are pretty tastyyy– fresh and plenty of options. The fun and friendly service makes it all the better. However, prices are only decent, since portion size is small in my opinion.

As a vegetarian I am a fan of Roly Poly and their acceptance of build-your-own wraps with an easy system, and a small variety of pre-designed vegetarian options. Things I look for are fresh ingredients, convenient location, friendly staff, and comfort to customize. What keeps me coming back are the healthy sides of vegetarian, such as whole wheat breads and protein alternatives. This is where Roly loses a star for me. There are no vegetarian protein options. TOFU and TEMPEH please! It seems the owner of this franchise does not think there is a market for tofu. I recommend putting a «Would you like tofu?» survey in the location to give the avenue for that communication, because clearly the message isn’t being delivered.

Yes I’m obsessed with Roly Poly. The vegetarian options are expansive and the heavily tattooed staff are the best in the business. The ingredients are always fresh. Quality is a given. The kitchen is open so you can see exactly what’s going on. I like that transparency. Don’t forget to check out their website to order ahead. I programmed a keyboard shortcut on my work PC that brings me right to the ordering page and launches a WAV file of Leslie Nielson’s «gimme Ham on 5, hold the Mayo». My favorite sandwich is the Nut N Honey. It’s pretty life changing, and is the best vegetarian sandwich in the area by a wide margin.

Dubya Tee Eff. Sometimes Unilocal sets up for more of a letdown than anything else. Had I not read all of the glowing reviews on this site first I probably wouldn’t have been expecting this epic, life changing wrap. I will say that the help was extremely friendly and helpful as others have mentioned. He answered all of my questions and I felt like I was talking to a buddy of mine. I ended up creating my own wrap because I figured, hey, I’ve gotta like it if I made it myself. While I have no qualms with the quality of the food, my issue lies with the fact that there was NOMEAT in it. I ordered a wrap with turkey and bacon in it, and there was one sad little piece of turkey, a few(what I would consider) bacon bits, and the rest was all baby spinach. It was a baby spinach wrap. With the half wrap and the chips it came to about $ 7. If I wanted to spend $ 7 on spinach, I could have. That being said, everything was relatively fresh, I just couldn’t get past the disappointment that my wrap was 90% spinach. Maybe they were just having an off day, and because the service was so nice, perhaps I’ll give them another try. Stay tuned.

Just a good sandwich. Delicious fresh ingredients. Different from a lot of sandwich places in Boston. Lots of choices. Has a lot of Veg options which is nice. Inexpensive, fast service, Especially if you order online.

Ehhh, you lose a point Roly Poly. This is the second time in as many visits that you’ve overcharged me by not listening to me when I say I want a HALF wrap, not a whole one. This annoys me and I’m not 100% sure you know how to successfully use your point of sale system.

I’m lobbying to pass legislation making marriage with the Turkey AppleJack(#39 — whole, no onions) completely legal. The kid’s about two hookers and a bottle of absinthe away from sweet talking 2⁄3 of the state Senate. Here’s looking at you, Brian Joyce of Milton! Massachusetts, you have been blessed with what is arguably the home of the greatest wrap wranglers in the history of breadless eateries. Forget family — the chief reasons I would fly back to Florida twice a year are the aforementioned gift of the gods, and its narrow-margin backup, the Basil Cashew Chicken(#30 — whole, extra Thai spicy sauce). Criticize Rizzle Pizzle for being a chain and get stricken with the Black Death: co-founders Julie and Linda started small and built an empire based on the cold hard fact that people love their product. I am a person, and it’s highly probably you are too. A simple logic proof dictates you’ll love Roly Poly. Can’t fool science, kitten. Closed on the weekends. Skip the soups and salads. Try the stuff mentioned, and the Hot Honey(#13) and the Chicken Popper(#53) and the Key West Cuban(#23) and, well hell, anything that ends in 3. It’ll have you hooked.

After one visit, I’m pretty much hooked. Roly Poly is right near work, and I love that you can be aware of the calories based on their menu. I’m all about the very fresh ingredients, and opted for my first visit to «roll my own». I went with grilled chicken, light mayo, leaf lettuce, sprouts, cheddar cheese, cranberries, cucumbers, avocado, and cashews. It was delish, and for a half roly, very reasonably priced and calorically smart. They do have pre-made sandwiches if you can’t wait, but it was a very quick process even if you order your own. The only reason it’s only a 4 star right now is because I ordered avocado, and didn’t see any on my roll up. Service was really quick, friendly, and the seating area was neat and clean. I’ll be stopping by again when I don’t pack my lunch!

I’m not too in love with wraps, but lunch was little brother’s choice that day. I like the roll-your-own option, and the lettuce was definitely fresh, but I don’t know… I just expected a lot more. The pesto wasn’t that great either. I’d rather frequent Boloco or Viga or Sebastian’s for my sandwich/wrap needs.

If you’re looking for a good, inexpensive lunch in downtown Boston, this is the place to go. They have a pretty good selection of hot and cold wraps or you can build your own, all made fresh. If you’re in a rush, they have some pre-made(or salads) in the refrigerator case. Prices are good. For a half sandwich(6′ wrap), less than $ 4.00. And a half with chips and a drink is perfect for lunch. If you want a whole(12″), it’s under $ 7.00. I’ve been twice — had the California Turkey the first time and the Buffalo Lite today. Both were really good.

Hooray! I am starting to share in Daniel M.‘s obsession. It’s very easy to obsess over this stuff — cheap fresh lunch in the financial district? And a menu you basically choose yourself? Yes, please! The wraps are huge. Super huge. I always order a half and it’s more than enough food for me. And the ingredients are fresh and healthy enough that I do not overdo it on calories or fat or sugar or anything — and I never leave feeling too full.

Went here after walking by on my way to work for months. I tred the Texas Tuna Melt. It was really good and the service was very quick. The problem here for me is that there is so much competition for this type of food that I just like better(Viga, Chacerrero, Sam Lagrass’s). That being said, it makes it harder for me to decide to come here for a bite.

You know how all the salad dressing, mayonnaise, melty cheese, and all other various lunchtime accoutrements leave you feeling a little like this place’s name? Well fortunately for you, irony has stepped in and made this one of the healthiest and most delicious options for sandwich wraps in the Financial District. And at $ 3.99 for a half wrap and $ 6.25 for a full, one of most reasonably priced as well. B-but, you ask, how can it be tasty without my standard issue sandwich spreads? Because Roly Poly offers an obscene amount of variety, that’s how – unlimited combos of meats, cheeses, and even in the coldest winter months, oodles of fresh and colorful veggies to tantalize your tastebuds. No brown avocado here, is what I’m saying. And though you’re be hard pressed to not find your ideal wrap on the menu board, they will happily let you build your own from scratch at no extra charge. Only got 7 minutes between client meetings? Roly Poly also has a great variety of pre-made wraps that give no indication of having been sadly and soggily sitting there for hours. And they are checked on by employees to make sure they stay fresh. So just grab and go, unwrap and enjoy. Your waistline will thank you.

OMG I am absolutely obsessed Roly Poly(four times this week alone). Here’s why… First off, it’s CHEAP. A small roll up is under $ 4, seriously. Otherwise you can get out of there for around $ 7 for a bigger meal. Second, it’s super fresh. Like you had made it at home were you to have the time or inclination. Third, they have a large variety of vegetarian options. Good ones! I mean wow, I don’t have to eat the one sad veggie option on the menu. It helps that this is convenient to my office in DTX and that the staff is always pleasant and patient as I stare blankly at the wall mulling over my options. This is an excellent addition to the area and I’ll be back many more times. PS– the nutty avocado is AMAZING.

I was pretty disappointed with Roly Poly. The idea is good, the descriptions sound good, and the photos look appetizing. The problem is the people making the rolled sandwiches are stingy. My coworkers and I all got rolled sandwiches but they were all skinny and flat, with not much filling at all. The 12″ size didn’t even fill us up. Unless they start getting more generous with filling their sandwiches, we definitely won’t be back.

I just ate avocado. And I liked it.(Ssssshhh!) The Texas Tuna Melt is shockingly incredible! Whoever heard of a tuna melt with barbecue sauce, bacon, and avocado? Not me! However, despite the combination being a little on the odd side, I think I just found a new favorite! I haven’t tried avocado in years, with the last encounter being not so pleasant. I’ve never liked avocado, and I wasn’t sure I was going to like this, but I’m always up for trying new things. I’m glad I did. I think I have a new favorite lunch destination. And they’re two buildings down from me. My happiness levels are through the roof right now! I would like to take this opportunity to thank my coworker, Scott, for telling me about this place. MMMMMMMMMMM!!!

Good lunch grub, great prices. Wraps are BIG and only $ 6.25 for a whole or $ 3.95 for a half. That way if you can’t decide you can grab a half of 2 different sangos. Which is exactly what I did — a chicken cordon bleu and a steak fajita. Nice. Great way to spice up lunch and get some variety. Fajeet came w/salsa on the side and the other guy came with some good spicy honey mustard to dip dip dip. Good selection of combos… almost anything you can think of. You can construct your own from the ingredients list too if that strokes you. They also have a quick-stop takeaway fridge with pre-made wrapperinos if it’s busy and you don’t have time to wait. My wait wasn’t bad at all and the joint was JUMPIN! Good to see a new lunch option down here, maybe they’ll force Grassroots to lower their outrageous prices… BURN! They’ve got salads and other healthy options too so you don’t feel Roly Poly after eating here.

mind BLOWN. finally! a healthy, fresh, delicious offering in this area! it’s february, yet roly poly has green lettuce and avocado, red tomatoes, vibrantly orange carrots. all of these ingredients are the proper consistency and actually have flavor. it’s like when you have one of those super vivid dreams where, when you wake up, you feel like it’s real. this one is real, kiddos. this one is real. to back myself up on the avocado thing: it was perfectly brightly colored, which i cannot say about an eatery a few doors down. this particular place, which i will not name but is closing within the next few days(haha, i may as well name it), had pre-sliced avocado in line with all their other sandwich ingredients the other day. the avocado was brown and shriveled-looking, if avocado can shrivel. shit. anyway, the«nutty avocado» is amazing because the avocado is at perfect ripeness. yay! it’s absolutely thrilling that there’s a place in the area now that has GOOD food for cheap prices. the wraps are super inexpensive and the half wrap is actually pretty filling if you’re also grabbing a bag of chips or something. there are SO many choices, but you can also make your own from a list of approximately 329847243 options. they have those check box form things so you can pick your items and hand the list off. this is helpful if you’re anything like me and you have a brain shart when it comes time to make a custom order. a great feature to roly poly is that they have premade wraps. you can tell they haven’t just been sitting around. actually, when i was in there, an employee was checking on the wraps in the cooler. i’m thinking they keep a really good eye on the quality of their products and would pull anything that was unsatisfactory, but don’t quote me on this. what’s great is that they don’t just have super standard, boring wraps premade. you know how some places have premade stuff but it’s like, a chef salad or a plain old roast beef sandwich or tuna salad or some shit that i don’t like? they actually have interesting options for the grabbing and going. this is probably because all their sandwiches are interesting. this review is kind of choppy and disjointed. sorry. p. s. i tried checking in from here earlier but my phone is a poon and wouldn’t let me.
