I walked past here thinking, i havent had a D’angelo sub in a while. I usually prefer them over subway. The inside is old and pretty dirty looking. I was the only person in there and it took the two employees about 3 minutes to acknowledge my presence. I ordered a medium tuna, and for some reason steak hits the grill. Another guys walks in after me orders a sandwich and gets his before mine. Then they realize i got a tuna so they scramble to make possible the worst sub ever constructed. The tuna was swimming in mayonnaise and after every bite more tuna squirted out the back.

I’m a big fan of bringing my own lunch to work, but naturally there are days when I’d rather get the extra snooze time in the morning… and for about $ 5/week, it’s totally worth it. Lately, I’ve found myself strolling up Franklin St. to pick up my Chicken Stir Fry Pokket at D’Angelo’s and it definitely hits the spot, plus it’s a good alternative to my occasional $ 5 salad at the Kebab House. It gets even better, because now I place my order online and use whatever online coupon they have to take an extra buck or two off. It’s so simple especially since I can just hit«repeat» on my previous order and set the time that I’d like to pick it up(surprisingly it’s been relatively hot, like any pick-up order, each time). What spurred my review today was the fact that I signed up for their Rewards program only last week, and for every $ 1 spent you get 1 point until you reach 50 points and get a $ 5 credit. To my delight, when I placed my order today, I noticed that at check-out there was a button indicating that I had Loyalty Rewards, when I haven’t even reached the 50pt. mark. I clicked and found that it was for a FREE small sub! As you can imagine, to a self-proclaimed frugalista such as myself, this was quite the coup in my relentless effort to put my money where my mouth is.
