I went to Potbelly’s for the first time today and I have to say that the employees are SO nice. The broccoli and cheddar soup and turkey sandwich I ordered were also good but I was completely blown away how nice the employees were. The prices are also reasonable, my half soup and sandwich only came out to about 7.28 with tax.

So I’ve been coming to this place for a while now. They don’t have a bunch of locations but the few times I do go they’re always great. I went here yesterday for lunch and got the Turkey Swiss. I got lettuce, tomatoes, mayo on my sandwich. I got avocado which was $ 1 extra and bacon which is $ 1.60 extra. Although they do charge a lot extra for the bacon it is well worth it because their bacon is out of this world. The avocado is good too but I’d only really recommend it if you love avocado. I also got a strawberry shake(they were out of yogurt for the smoothies :(). The shake was decent but drink it quick before it melts. The service was decent, even though I was surprised to see only two people working the store, but they sure did make it work.

I usually don’t like pot belly but we decided to try it here in Boston. It was so good! The sandwiches are toasted and the meat was really good. We got the ham, turkey, and Italian. Recommend it for sure!

Conveniently located downstairs from my office building, the sandwiches are quite tasty, with a variety of toppings and bread choices. Although a bit skimpy on the meat. The cookies are addicting. The chocolate brownie cookie hits the spot whenever I have a chocolate craving. Line moves fast too.

Convenient location especially during the lunch hours if you work in the area. Food 3 Stars, Service 4 Stars. Food Quality The quality of the sandwiches is nothing to write home about they have 2 sizes a small and 9 inch large. The sandwiches have a good distribution of heat and melted cheese so at least they are using a quality microwave or toaster. The food itself is standard. Meats don’t stand out as being especially noteworthy as good or bad and melted cheese are consistent don’t have the overly waxy string to them. Customization is minimal and menus are simple to keep the place efficient. The menus represent a standard sub shop no special here. Service For a afternoon takeaway service is actually good and more the acceptable. It’s not 5 star restaurant, but the lines moves quickly and staff are prompt and polite. The greeter is definitely make this operation run efficiently and gives this place an extra star. Interesting Facts They use surface tablets. It’s rare application of this Microsoft product.

Great Potbelly location, right on the bottom floor at a main walking intersection. Even during peak hours, they handled the rush well. An employee stood at the head of the line taking orders on an iPad, eliminating a bottle neck. It took about 3 minutes from ordering to walking out, and the sandwich was quality(though overpriced for what was on it.) Quality at Potbelly is dependable, even if there’s nothing too special here.

Probably the best sandwich place in downtown Boston. The service is fast and consistent, as is the food. I honestly don’t get why people really rate these downtown«fast food» joints on the quality of food. Basically I work here 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, and then several years, and I have a rotation of places to eat for the sake of variety, not quality. This place functions well for variety. The menu is varied and there is a go-to sandwich for nearly every taste. The soup isn’t bad, neither are the chips, and the portions aren’t so big that you get a food coma the rest of the afternoon after eating here. Overall five stars because of the consistency – I know exactly what I’m getting before I come here.

The best sausage, egg and cheese ever can found at this place which had a comfortable old fashion like setting. It was kind of disappointing to find out at the order desk there was what looked like one style of bread what looked like a small soft sub roll in either white or wheat. But they toasted the bread and it came out delicious not to mention my choice of toppings.

I will admit, the staff here is super friendly: always have smiles on their; however, for a place who caters to the lunch crowd in downtown Boston, I do not believe that is a huge factor. This place is decent for lunch, it is worth a try. Maybe you will find something that you love… but most likely, in my opinion, there probably will not be. And a couple weeks later after you tried it once, you might say«hey where was that one sandwich shop we went to?» Basically, this place is not super rememberable, nothing special about it(unless you consider the ability of adding bacon and extra meat to be special). Overall, I feel like there are better options especially in downtown Boston.

The sandwich I ordered(the grilled chicken and cheddar) was small, bland, and dry. In fairness, I didn’t request any toppings(e.g. lettuce, hot sauce, mayo). Not super expensive($ 6.30 including tax), but definitely not a deal given the size and quality of the sandwich. If I end up going back for another sandwich(or salad), I will update the review. At least the location is relatively convenient.

I’m not a frugal person, nor do I mind spending for good food, but I do mind being taken advantage of and being hit with unjustifiable fees. Potbelly lost a customer today because of this silly«extra fruit» charge. Their flavor options for smoothies and shakes are strawberry, banana and mixed berry. I ordered Strawberry Banana, and the owner attempted to charge me an extra fruit fee, logic being that there is extra fruit, warranting an extra fee. This logic is simply, wrong. There is no «extra» fruit, there is a different COMBINATION of fruit. A size small smoothie is a size small smoothie. They are simply substituting some strawberries for some banana. If there truly was extra fruit, I’d end up with a bigger smoothie. Am I wrong?! I tried to explain this to the man ringing me up who just so happened to be the owner, and he insisted that there was, indeed, extra fruit. He then made a smart-ass remark about how he «wouldn’t go out of business over 35 cents.» Honestly, it’s not the extra money that bothers me. I mean, it’s only 35 cents. What bothers me is that it’s just not right and that they attempt to take advantage of customers over it. Well, Potbelly, I’m smarter than that.

I love this place. Been here a few times and their mediterranean sandwich is awesome(I’m glad it’s permanently on the menu instead of just being a «new item»)! I love that this is also super close to my office. Their sandwiches aren’t huge, which is probably a good thing because I would attempt to eat the entire thing no matter how big or small it is because it’s so tasty. One time I was here the person putting cheese on my sandwich before sending it through the toaster messed up(put cheddar instead of feta). So they had to start that part over and I had to wait a bit — but what happened? The manager(I think his name was Tony) apologized and gave me my sandwich for free because I had to wait extra long for it. Most places won’t go the extra step of comping whatever they originally messed up, but he did it without even hesitating. Great customer service! Go give them a try!

Great place, walking around federal hungry and not a subway, Cosi or panera fan I was looking for something new. Happened to be checking out federal building when I saw they had a Potbelly. People were always friendly and smiling and not robots afraid to chat. Was great and the food was amazing as well as my smoothy(oreo strawberry !) and then Inoticed they had another enterance on Devonshire st right around the building. Had live music, great smell and clean. I will be back !
