My favorite sandwich chain … happy to see JJs has come a long way from my Chicago-area childhood. Bread and overall quality is *so* much better than Subway, though less sandwich variety… a good trade-off in my book. I like to add sprouts and hots to the tuna or turkey or beach club. So much fresher than other fast food and it’s truly ready a minute after you order. When I’ve got to feed my kids fast this is my go-to. +4 stars for overall yum factor and +1 for fresh quality meal ready within a minute

Gourmet subs? Mediocre at best. Overpriced considering there is not much in these subs. Nothing special at all. Almost $ 2 for a small bag of chips? Whathe… If I’m going to spend 10 to 12 dollars on a sandwich lunch, go down the road to Boathouse deli.

While I love that JJ’s is now in Boston, they can never get my order correctly. 2 different locations, 3 different occasions, and all 3 times I’m the only customer in the place. I get the same thing each time… #14 bootlegger with cheese and hot peppers. THEYNEVERADDTHEHOTS!!! It’s so frustrating. While the western ave location is faster then the BU location, fast doesn’t mean crap unless it’s accurate. I miss my Mid-Michigan locations. I will only eat Jimmy Johns if I’m in east Lansing. Stop spreading franchises if you can’t keep the quality up.

Jimmy Johns, is a very simplistic sandwich shop. Cold Sandwiches only, a couple types of bread. They do it right, they give you a heaping portion at a fair price. But it isn’t spectacular, it isn’t some amazing store that we’ve been dying to have. It’s just a chain sandwich shop branching out. Their bread is better then Subway. Their meet is on par. But you can’t get it toasted. So there’s that.

Exquisite balance between the vegetable choices and the softness of the bread. I had the #13 and was left with a satisfying meal.

I’m so happy Jimmy John’s is now in Boston! Is it any better than the 10,000 sandwich shops in the area? Time will tell. The food is very solid, but the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff is what keeps me coming back. Really great service! PS-my friend Sue says the Beach club with sprouts is to die for!

Yep, plenty good for a quick food run or when you’ve got a kid in the back with low blood sugar and a shrill whine. The subs are inexpensive and way better than Subway. And they deliver!

I’m not sure how they got here that fast. Maybe teleportation? We had a Vito and a Vegetarian. My sandwich was decent, better because I was starving. The vegetarian my co-worker had was awesome(maybe could have used less mayonnaise). Will definitely order again.

Great for what it is. Under 10 $ sandwich delivered fast. Meat tastes good, tomatoes and lettuce taste fresh.

I’m eating my sub now. It’s fine but I’m good with an 7 – 8 dollar sub. But I’m not paying extra for cheese or pickles that’s ridiculous. The sub should be out of this world if your going to charge 10 dollars for it when subway is right next to you. Never again

Guys… have you been to Subway? JJ’s is it’s more mature, worthwhile sister sandwhich. I have been impatiently awaiting for this opening and have not been let down within the 25 times I’ve already vistied. MMmmm, I’ll gladly pay an extra few bucks to have the peace of mind that im NOT eating at Subway. I’m so happy to have them in our hood, the bread, the chips, the speediness & cleanliness of JJ’s will make me go out of my way for them every time. Props to the #14 Bootlegger, never disappoints!

Nothing to write home about. Overpriced sub shop. Not much of a selection! The majority of the sandwiches where turkey subs and for $ 10 a sandwich i expect more for my $$. Also the sub was not cut in half. I would rather go to subway down the street. Nothing gourmet about this place !

Ordered #4, menu says $ 5.75. Added cheese and a bottle water total came to $ 10.50. Whaaaat? Looks like two slice of cheese and a bottled water costs same price as a whole sandwich. Sub was OK!

I have picked up take-out and gotten delivery from this Jimmy John’s location and have been pleased with both. I was so impressed with how many people they had working. I have ordered online and picked up and ordered in person. Both times were fast. It doesn’t take them long at all to make a sandwich if you order in person. The location is clean. Delivery has always been incredibly fast.

Polite staff, clean/brand new location. Not the best area for parking but they have delivery! 2 sandwiches came out to less than $ 14, tasty and fresh. The #2& #14 both have their roast beef which I highly recommended. I believe 4 people worked together to make the order and the sandwiches were ready as I was getting my change at the register. Catchy music, chill ambiance, great for groups. I like the menu concept that they do ONLY cold sandwiches. Chips/cookies/sodas are side options. Great place for a good bite during lunch or before you go out for the night.(Funny bathroom signs!) Cheers!

I almost crashed my car when I noticed the coming soon sign for this JJ location. Being from the Midwest, JJ was a staple in my college diet(and office-life as well, who am I kidding). There’s something about the bread and Hellman’s mayo combination that makes these sandwiches truly addicting. Not to mention how easy they make consuming via their freaky fast free delivery. You’re not going to be skimping on the calories at JJ, but your tastebuds will thank you. I’m a fan of pretty much every menu item, especially those that come standard with avocado spread(like the vegetarian and the California one). You can keep it simple with the slims, or go all out with the gargantuan. There’s something for everyone at JJ. I wish they’d found their way to Boston sooner, as I’m sure the Allston-Brighton community will greatly appreciate the addition of a viable delivery/takeout option on this side of the pike.
