I was in the mood for something healthier than the usual fare around South Station and decided to check this out. The prices are high compared to the typical fast food fare around but I was eyeing their salads but ultimately decided on their Pork Belly Bahn Mi sandwich. The price was 7.50 for a half sandwich and 10 dollars for a full. I saw the price/sandwich ratio to be in highly in favor of the 10 dollar sandwich so I got it and I’m glad I did. The sandwich. the TEN dollar sandwich was super small. I mean I would have thrown a fit if I paid 7.50 for HALF of it. so I’m glad I got the 10 dollar one or else I would’ve been throwing plastic ware around the place. They asked if you wanted either chips or carrots with it and I decided on the carrots because I’m already a fat pig and didn’t need more chips to line my belly. The sandwich itself was FANTASTIC! I can’t rave enough about it. So many delicious flavors packed into a horribly undersized sandwich. That was the only downside. The flavors were amazing but the price and size of it made me question if I’d ever get it again.

awful poor customer service. they don’t listen or the don’t understand, I don’t know but it is a gamble whether you’ll get what you want. The food isn’t good either. Panera where are you.

so surprised to see any bad reviews. staff is always exceptionally cheerful and upbeat, yes I have to wait a minute for my morning breakfast sandwich but it’s carefully made, fresh as can be, and plenty large. makes my morning commute just a little more cheerful.

I like Cosi’s food, but at my last visit,(1) I ordered one of the bowls but was not given Cosi’s amazing bread(and didn’t realize it until I turned to Unilocal, long after the meal), and(2) the personnel was indifferent: no hello, no thank you, no «next?” – just stares. Yes, I know that if there is no customer in front of me and the cashier just stares at me I’m supposed to come up and place my order, but some pleasantries would have been nice.

Despite the rude customers they get, customer service is amazing. I watched a lady in a sun hat yell at the manager(Joseph I think?) about the tea price for a good ten minutes and despite how irrational she was, he remained calm and polite. If it were me I would’ve told her off. After she left, I ordered and both the cashier and the manager were very nice and professional. Try the adobo chicken bowl!

Ordered a pesto chicken melt, and walked out with cold chicken and cheese, not melted. No pesto, no tomato spread. Awful experience. This thing tastes bland and terrible.

This was my first visit to Cosi. It’s always a risk eating at the bus station, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed my chicken rice bowl, it was tasty and a decent portion size. The staff were very helpful and friendly and even gave me a chuckle when I mispronounced the name of the meal! I intend to look out for Cosi now when I’m in the city.

I’ve eaten here half a dozen times, mostly in the past week, picking something different off the menu each time. Everything I’ve gotten has been quite flavorful and tasty with good textural balance and prepared quite quickly. The bread is particularly unique, thin but soft with good flavor and a nice dusting of salt on the outside. Even at the peak of lunch rush hour they don’t have a long line. The late evening weekday crew is a bit odd; they have tended to avoid greeting me and indicating they are ready to take an order until I stand and stare at them for a minute or so.(Though that might be partly because I have to stand in nearly the same place while looking at the menu and deciding what I want.) The day crew, on the other hand, is quite attentive. Given the speed of service and the quality of the result, I’m making this one of my new favorite lunch sandwich/wrap/melt places in the Fort Point/South Station area. Their hours are super convenient for when I’m working late, I assume because there are always tons of hungry late evening travellers waiting for trains. I also like that they put calorie counts on the menu and offer carrots instead of chips as a side for a sandwich… yay, healthier eating. They are located on the first floor of the South Station commuter rail lobby food court, accessible from the main grand entrance. I think«2 South Station» is a mailing address; if you go to that door you won’t be able to get inside.

Ham egg and cheese croissant. Easily my favorite fast food breakfast EVER. Their croissants and eggs are just so tasty! I’ve never had anything else though because I love this breakfast sandwich so much. So my review is entirely based on that one meal I’ve had 20+ times and never been disappointed :)

So after my two recent donations to Cosi, I won’t be going back. What’s a donation? Oh, it’s when you order something, pay for it, and it takes them so long to make it that you have to leave without it in order not to miss your train. Kid you not, this has happened both of the last two times I’ve been here. I am in South Station every day and I’m familiar with how long it usually takes to order something and have it made at any of the other places. Cosi is the exception to this rule; the pace of preparation is glacial. The last time it happened there was virtually no line and perhaps 2 – 3 people who’d ordered ahead of me who were already waiting for their orders to be finished. I stood waiting for a good five minutes and got nervous when I saw that none of these people’s orders had been completed… the line literally hadn’t moved. And sure enough, the minutes kept ticking away and at 7:54 I gave up and ran to my train. This is maddening, because it’s not like I have time to ask for a refund either. If it happened once it could have been my mistake, but when it happens twice, it’s their problem.

Quite possibly the worst thing I’ve eaten in a long time. My stomach didn’t feel right after consuming the tandoori chicken sandwich. The sauce was bright red with food coloring and there were no detectable ‘indian spices.’ Just an overall weird concoction of ‘stuff’ that was nowhere near being worth the $ 8 I paid.

Homemade bread and hot soup at 9 pm in south station. I can’t complain. And if it wasnt for this place, I may not eat at south station. Lentil soup was good. Tomato basil soup was good. Chicken noodle was good but too salty. Bread is good. Wanna sample the soup? No problem. Oh and everything is warm until closing time. Thanks for doing what you do cosi.

I have had their sandwiches, salad, and soup and never disappointed with any of them! Very fine food place in South Station. I really like the freshness of their salad :) Usually have many people waiting in line during lunch time, but there is a reason for it.

I was in the South Station for an early train(a veryyy early train), which translates, obviously, into a need for breakfast and coffee.(I don’t always drink coffee, but having slept just three hours the night before, I needed a bit of a jumpstart to my day– can’t sleep through my stop!) I had a great experience here. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. Everyone who worked there this morning had a smile on their face and a «have a nice day» ready for me with my food. I really liked my Santa Fe wrap(egg whites, bacon, and pico de gallo), and my «vanilla kiss» latte was sweet without being overwhelming, though it did taste suspiciously more like it had been kissed by cinnamon. All in all, fast, friendly, and(relatively) healthy and fresh.

I had to take away a star. The food is still great, but the service isn’t very good. On two separate occasions, I had an issue with one of the employees. The first time, I placed my order and then handed the cashier my Cosi card, and she replies«I already made the transaction, you should have given it to me earlier.» Ummm, seriously? How the hell am I supposed to know when to give it to you. Why didn’t you ask me if I had one? Isn’t that your job? The second time, I placed my order and the total came to $ 8.55. I gave the cashier $ 10.75(the .75 was in the form of 3 quarters b/c that’s all I had). So, she gives me back $ 2. So, I said«Excuse me, I gave you $ 10.75», and she replies«Oh, I thought you gave me 10.55. Why did you give me 75 cents?» Ok, first of all… learn basic math. Second of all, even if I had given you $ 43.61, you don’t ask me why, you simply give me the correct change back. Cosi, please be more mindful about who you decide to hire.

While I did not eat the food here, I was floored by the service. Scene: 2PM the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, craziness abound I bought a cup of coffee, served myself, and discovered the coffee was cold. I asked if there was more, and instead received a latte on the house, free pumps of flavor if I wanted them, and received a large. A large! I couldn’t believe how kind the staff was when they could have handed me a fresh cup and told me to try a different urn. I boarded my train happy and caffeinated.

Cosi! In South Station! It’s better than ABP, McDonalds, and probably better than the Cajun place and the Chinese place. So overall it’s okay, and the sandwiches are easy to take onto trains, so that helps too.

This is the second Cosi I’ve been to, first one being the one in the financial district. Obviously this one being in South Station, I cant really rate its ambiance or service(but for those going downtown, I’d recommend it for lunch as there was plenty of seating, and free bread while standing in line). As for the food, I LOVE their bread, it packs alot of flavor and is the perfect texture. I got the Chicken TBM(tomato, basil, mozzarella) Melt as well as a chicken ceasar salad. The melt was delicious and not too heavy, only wish there was a bit more basil. The chicken ceasar salad was good, they toss it for you, but wish there was less dressing used. Of all the fast food option choices in South Station, this one is a nice treat from the others, but comparable to Au Bön Pan. It does cost more for that though, as each item is over $ 7.
