Boston Pizza Stop & Cafe

Wish I could give it 0 stars. When we ordered a pizza here, they charged us 22% tax when it should actually have been around 6%. They tried to rip us off! Wouldn’t give us a receipt and when we caught them at it, the man tried to blame it on the woman at the register. I guess they were upset because the pizza we got was burnt and barely had any of the gyro topping we had ordered. Seriously?! Horrible place. Go somewhere else if you want pizza.

Excellent pizza location. They have a pizza special of 3 large one topping pizzas and 10 wings for $ 30. The dough was light, airy, and crispy, the cheese was gooey and delicious, and the toppings were plentiful. The wing were fried to perfection and juicy. I would recommend this location if you’re in the BMC area.

Great pizza! However, don’t let it sit around because the grease will make the pizza soggy. Nonetheless, it’s the best pizza I’ve had in Boston.

«Stopped» in for a slice and it hit the spot perfectly. The crust was very unique in that it wasn’t too doughy, nor was it too greasy. Just the right amount of cheese and a bit of crisp on the pepperoni. Perfect for a quick bite if you are around this area. Even got to watch a little bit of the football game on the TV they had.

Ordered to go here because I was starving. We ordered chicken wings and a buffalo finger salad. We didn’t have to wait long for our food! They make pretty awesome salads! I’m not a bit fan of salads, although there’s looked especially good! It had olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, a huge peperoncino pepper, and lettuce of course! The buffalo fingers were just perfect for the salad, add a different kind of crunch! We got a side of pita bread and these cute buns that they made with extra pizza dough! SO CUTE! The people who work there have always been very nice and I have not had a bad experience yet with them. The wings were awesome! I had the option of having them breaded or not, which I liked. I’ve always preferred my wings fried without being breaded.
The one not so great part was the fact that I got a few very small pieces of wings, which probably would count as half a wing lol. They literally looked like they were missing half of itself lol. But they still counted them in as one. I didn’t mind because by the time I was nearly done, I was already stuffed. I’ve had their pizzas before, but nothing too extraordinary… just pizza lol.
Overall, a great place for food if you are hungry or need food fast!

This is an overdue review —
We ordered a cheese pizza from this place a few months ago because it’s just so convenient. Staff members were friendly. We waited for ten minutes after ordering thinking it’s a good thing because they’re making it fresh! But, nope. Should have checked the pizza right then and there because we went home, opened the pizza, picked up a slice and realized it was undercooked. So gross. Being a pizza lover, I probably won’t ever check this place out again.

Standard local pizza and sandwich shop — I always get the eggplant Parmesan sub and the quality tends to vary a bit but more often than not, I’m a fan. The staff is usually friendly and when I get delivery, they tend to be super fast. Overall, no complaints

My favorite place in Boston! Best Greek pizza in town, and really great customer service. Fantastic all around.

Had to try this place again for the second time in a week. The first time I had the tuna salad sandwich, it tasted great and they packed so much tuna on it and the bread was toasted. Almost tasted like a loster roll. The fries are very good here too. They taste beer battered. The second time I ordered from here, I got the Italian sub, which comes cold, but I toasted it myself. Again it was good. The cheesy fries were good as well, the cheese just was hard by the time it got to me, which was expected. But this place is really good for it’s price. Highly recommend it.

Ordered a wrap, it was the greasiest thing in the world. Completely drenched in oil. Messed up another part of my order and was rude about it when I called to tell them. All set with this place.

Great pizza, everything I’ve tried on the menu (calzones, wings, potato skins) have been awesome and the guy who runs it is always there and friendly!

Took over an hour to deliver on a weeknight. Pizzas were soooooo greasy and falling apart. Couldn’t even eat it. One meat on my pizza was grey? Wtf could that have been? Won’t order here again.

My husband and I started going to Pizza Stop when I was an impatient at Boston Medical Center about a year ago. We asked the nurses where to get pizza that was good and flat out everyone said to go to Pizza Stop!
During my long stay at BMC we must have ordered from them 5 or 6 times, the pizza is AMAZING!!! This pizza is GREEK STYLE pizza and the crust is Greek Style, crunchy, thin, cooked in a pan and if you are are a crust lover like I am, this is the place for you! If you are looking for hand tossed and stretched Italian Style pizza, you might not like it here but «don’t yuck on my yum»!
A few months later I found out I have Stage 4 Metestatic Cancer in my Kidney and lymph nodes, and in the area again but at a different
the Longword area.
Happily in one of my first nights in town we order our favorite pizza in all our Boston and when my husband went in, the owner remembered him! My Husband told him I was pretty sick and he made us a huge piece of fried dough with sugar, cinnamon, and powdered sugar on it and told him to bring it to me! No charge! I thought that was great he remembered us and even greater he sent me a little treat! It was not the cost of the fried dough, it was the kind gesture that really touched me!
I’m back in the hospital again And nearly died on the OR Table last week, but thankfully made it out of a critical situation when I ended up having zero kidney function and now that I can eat FOOD, tonight we will be ordering a large, light sauce, sausage, Black Olive and Eggplant pizza, well done and some onion Rings (thick yummy beer battered), fries and a sub to split, probably steak and cheese after reading all the reviews here on Unilocal!
I can’t wait!!!

Stephen runs a great restaurant. He always makes sure my food is prepared the way I like it. We live right around the corner and I eat here often. The subs are fresh and tasty. I like the grilled chicken. The pizzas are really good too and they also sell slices.
I just tried the steak tips with rice and salad last night and they were good. Marinated and tasty.
Sausage Pizza A+, if you like real sausage and not that balled Papa Johns crap, this is your pizza.

I ordered a large Latin pizza (chicken, bacon, tomatoes, peppers) with mushrooms added. I love pizza a lot! The pizza I had was super heavy and had a «greasy» taste. I was truly disappointed with the pizza. Usually pizza is good as leftovers but this did not taste good still. I also ordered the children chicken fingers with fries. The chicken fingers were eh but the fries were good. I won’t be ordering from here again. I am still on the hunt for another good pizza place in the city!

Their cheese pizza is wonderful. One of the head guys who work there gave us free pastries with our pizzas. Their cheese pizza is only 5 $ and give Student discounts on certain days. Very nice, friendly environment. I frequently visit since it’s so close to my apartment.

The delivery barely made it under 2 hours to my hotel room… The pizza was ok, nothing special — the crust may have been good at some point but by the time I was eating it… it wasn’t.

The owner was very helpful and friendly. They offer a huge menu. We ordered pizza and wings and really enjoyed it. The pizza had a nice crust, not too thin just right. The toppings were fresh and tasty. I especially liked the steak meat and sausage toppings. There are a few Formica table booths to sit at and it’s very dated. I didn’t notice a restroom in the restaurant that would be my only complaint. Parking was also an issue. Good prices and good food!

This place is great. Their food is so good! And very inexpensive.
The owner and workers are all very very friendly and usually give me something for free when I go in.
Also had them cater sandwiches for a group of 20 people and they did an awesome job. Great assortment for a very reasonable price.
And their chicken parm sandwich is amazing
