Lou Malnati’s is my all time favorite deep dish pizza but on this date and at this location I picked up a pizza that has left me thoroughly disappointed! This pizza was simply not that good at all! The tomatoes were severely lacking and the crust and ingredients didn’t taste very fresh! Good deep dish pizza is hard to find where I live! I was so looking forward to enjoying my favorite pie and also introducing it to my fiancé for the first time… she’s even more disappointed than myself! I’m not giving up on Lou’s but very likely to not order from this location again!

My go to order: Deep dish Lou with sausages. Typing that out made my mouth water. I’m craving it. I’ll see you soon, Lou.

Had a stuffed pepperoni and spinach pizza. Was to die for! Maybe my new favorite! The sauce yummo, the ingredients were perfect and fresh not frozen. The butter crust was crisp but not overdone or dry and tasteless. Great pizza! Excellent improvement over our last visit to this to go place restaurant.

Pizza perfection! Delivered to a local hotel — took about an hour but the pie arrived hot and to schedule. Friendly and personable driver. Always love to crack a Chicago deep dish when in town, and I’ve always found Lou’s to be top of the heap. World Series on the TV. . Lou Malnaties in the room… wife 2000 miles away. Heaven.

Ordered the deep dish and this is where Lou’s shines. I’m typically a thin crust fan, but when in the mood for deep dish, glad to have a Lou’s so close by!

Quite possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. Paid $ 30 for an extra large sausage with delivery. The whole thing had about 5 pieces of sausage on it and it was disgusting. Sauce was bad, cheese tasted old and rancid. I wish I had went to little Caesars abd just picked up a $ 5 ready made pizza

Today we enter the Highly controversial realm of pizza. I would not be surprised to learn that wars have been fought over the various kinds of pizza. On one side you would find the thin Quickly cooked New York style against the deep dish Chicago style pizza. On the different front you would find the fans of the mid western crispy crust pizza that may have originated around Saint Louis. I avoid the whole argument by saying that all these Pizza’s are different dishes under the general heading of Pizza and the best type is the kind want at the time. This week, I was on a business trip to Bolingbrook, so I ordered a Delivery pizza from Luo Malnati’s. I just want to say it was a pretty life changing experience. I can only judge the restaurant by the food and by the friendly way it was delivered. I ordered fairly early knowing that these guys were pretty famous and it might take a while to get my pizza and they told me up front that it would be about an hour before i would get my delivery. About an hour later the delivery person showed up with my pizza. It was piping hot and ready for me to eat. The pizza itself was wonderful. Close to a quarter inch of cheese covered the top of the delicious buttery crust and the sweet Italian sausage on top of the cheese was meaty and perfectly seasoned. Topping the sausage was a delightful tomato sauce that wasn’t too sweet and wasn’t too acidic. Sometimes, i find that tomato sauces can have too much acid. I am usually not inclined to eat the outside crust or «pizza bones» as my family calls them. But the crust was so delicious i finished the whole slice with relish. My stomach was full after the second piece but ate a third because the whole thing tasted so good. My daughter lives in the north western Chicagoland and was familiar with Luo Malnati’s. Now that I have had one of their delightful pizzas, i’ll be back.

After hearing for about a year how great Lou’s is? In Chicago for the first time I had to try it. My daughters boyfriend is from Chicago, and she has visited this area twice now. So her boyfriend has taken her here a couple of times and she loves the place. since all I have heard from my daughter how great it is. I had to come by and try it. I order the Chicago deep dish special, it was very good! I loved the crust, cheese, and the fresh tomatoes. Sauce is good, but had better. The pizza was great, I can not complain. Before I return home. I will probably come by again. Customer service was awesome. Had to wait a little for the pizza, so the best thing to do is call the order in. I have to say the pizza is in my top three. Excellent food.

Went to a different location last time I was in Chicago and knew I had to come again when I was back. Best pizza in town and the staff was extremely friendly– they even brought it to me when I said I was going next door to Starbucks while I waited for it to be ready!

This was my last meal before exiting the charming greater Chicago area! I rate Lou Malnati’s in Bolingbrook, IL a 4.5 but, will give a 4.0. Solid, tasty pizza! The thin, butter crust was a little bit more than I thought it would be compared to another Chicago deep dish eatery but, it works. Pepperonis were on the top(and that’s fine) and not blended in like the other establishment I had tried that week. Absolutely scrumptious cheese and spinach – also layered. All was tasty but, I was not completely wowwed that I’d give a perfect rating. My family had picked up the deep dish pizza and brought it back home so I didn’t get a chance to view the eatery itself. When we return to Chicago, we will definitely return. Perhaps the next slice would be the wow! slice or slices. Thanks LM!

We had only one thing to check off on this Chicago trip. A Chicago style deep dish pizza. So we ordered a vegetarian pizza and a small sausage pizza from this joint. *Back story* We were once given a frozen small Lou Malnati pizza couple of years ago. One of our colleagues from Downers Grove had family visiting and got a few boxes for all us mid west migrants. It was very delicious and that was the reason behind trying this pizza out during our trip. We ordered delivery. Pizza was delivered within an hour and it was extremely hot to touch. The pizza was devoured by our hungry toddlers and family. We managed to complete both the pies in half an hour. The crust was a tad bit too crunchy/hard for my liking. I think Tony’s Little Italy in Placentia, CA is better than this pizza’s?

I think this is one of my favorite pizza places around(not including several located in Chicago). The pizza is to die for. I’ve only tried their thin crust(butter crust) and the deep dish and both of them are amazing. Lou Malantis is my family’s go-to friday night pizza place.

My favorite location of Lou’s to order from when I’m craving a pizza. Its carry-out only but they’ve been very consistent with the quality of the pizza unlike the more crowded location in downtown Naperville. Can’t think of any cons aside from not having a dine-in area.

I like Lou Malnati’s pizza, don’t get me wrong, but I’m rating this location 2 stars because of how my pizza was handled. I ordered carry out, I picked it up and brought it home, very excited to dig into some great deep dish pizza. However, when I opened it, I was disappointed to see that whoever put the plastic cover to I guess keep it warmer had managed to pull the toppings completely off of one half the pizza and pulled them to the other side. I literally had half the pizza with crust and very minimal toppings on it. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering from this location again. Update: The Malnati’s customer service team reached out to me and made it right by sending me a gift certificate for a free pizza. I certainly appreciate them doing it and will give them another shot at this location.

By far one of my favorite spots for pizza in these United States. Ingredients are always fresh and copious amounts are placed on your pizza. Service is courteous and prompt with fast friendly delivery. The pricing of this establishment is essentially quite cost prohibitive and I only opt to order from there on special occasions when budget allows. I wish they were able to lower their prices and maintain the same quality. I feel that this chain relies too much on brand recognition as a basis to inflate the price of their product which will eventually catch up with them.

I’m such a fan of their thin crust pizza. Tried the buffalo wings for the first time and they were very meaty. Not too spicy and appreciate the good supply of celery on the side. Delivery gal is super nice and courteous. If I do order a deep dish, it has to be from Lou’s. I’m old school thin 99% but every now and then I get the urge. I never laughed so hard when Mark Malnati showed up on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show, classic!
