I have been using CA for a few months now after leaving another cleaning company and I can say that I made the best decision! The cleaners have been excellent, I especially love having Francesca, and Martha come by because they really care and every time you can tell that, they have not overlooked even the smallest details.

Although never having The Cleaning Authority clean my home, I did work for them and know firsthand how rushed and overbooked they are, and how shotty you have to perform the cleaning in order to go to your other 3 or 4 houses. This company has taken on more than they can handle. Employees are overworked and rushed. The cleaning we’re trained to do is very basic. If you want a deeper, more detailed clean, my advice is to go somewhere else. My absolute biggest problem with this company is that the rags you clean with SMELLLIKEURINE! The managers claim it’s something to do with the soap, but come on! How on earth can anything smell or be clean if you are wiping them with urine-smelling rags! I think it’ll take clients complaining before they do something about it. So if you are a client of TCA, COMPLAINABOUTTHEPEE-SOAKEDRAGSTHEY’REWIPINGYOURSTUFFDOWNWITH! If you are looking to work for TCA, be aware that you work approximately 10 hours a day(more if you’re behind). You come in at 7:30 and leave for your first house at 8:00. You have 8 hours worth of cleaning(not including driving time), with a half hour unpaid lunch in between. Then after your last house is done, you return to the office and then go home maybe 15 – 20 minutes after that. DISCLAIMER: You get paid minimum wage when driving and when in the office. That’s how they get away with working you so long. I wouldn’t recommend this company. I’d imagine that before they had 162 clients, they were able to give each home the attention they deserve(and that people are paying for!). Those days are gone and now they are, unfortunately, in over their heads.

After having this company clean my home for over a year, I am discontinuing service. I have remote-controlled blinds in my home and their employee broke them a couple months ago. The replacement cost for the blinds was several hundred dollars. The company would only give me a free clean(about $ 100). I was assured they would note my account to not clean these blinds again so they wouldn’t get damaged again. I came home to find them damaged again after the cleaning crew came. The company claimed their employee didn’t break them and would give me a $ 20 credit. No one else was in my home that day. Very poor customer service! Moving on to a new cleaning company.

Requested a 3 hour cleaning of my small home. Staff had issues accessing the house(called and said the door was locked, but it wasn’t). They were late getting started, thus the quality of the clean suffered since they were in a hurry. It probably would have been better to just re-schedule. Many details missed, kitchen appliance broken(company ended up reimbursing me to pay for item), blinds broken(did not replace, and they sent me info showing that this was an excluded item that would be covered), and while they were dusting, they hit the thermostat and the heat was all the way up and turned on full blast. Again… one of those things that happens when you’re in a hurry. Overall, it was difficult to enjoy the ‘good’ parts, since there were damages done to my home. House cleaning for me is a luxury, kind of like a day at the spa. When it doesn’t go well, it’s really a disappointment. The company was quick to respond and did reimburse me for the kitchen appliance that was damaged. I had to purchase a whole new window blind, since that could not be fixed. I most likely would not use this company again in the future, because I think they are over-booked, and their cleaning staff can’t take the time to really clean. They are rushing, and end up breaking and doing the job halfway.
