Oh my… Had an appointment for a spray tan, showed up 10 minutes early. No customers in the spa, just 1 lady working. It took 20 minutes just to pay for my tan. I don’t blame her, I blame whoever failed to train her. She had no idea how to work the computer system, the card reader didn’t work on the computer, and she was extremely frustrated. I tried to help her and stayed calm even though I was seriously annoyed that it would take so long. Again, clearly a major lack of training. Not her fault at all. Then I go to tan and the machine isn’t even turned on. I had to squeeze myself between the wall and the machine to get to the«on» switch on the breaker. Also, there is no hair cap sitting on the table for me like there should have been, so I had to go rummaging through the drawers in the table to find one. A customer shouldn’t have to do that at a «spa.» A little advice: TRAIN your staff! And do NOT leave some poor new gal alone to close the place down when she has no idea how to do so yet. If you’re coming here, don’t plan on a quick trip. I should have been in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. I think I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on.

I received a $ 25GC online and the add said must be printed off but when I called the girl she said I could show it on my phone :) the girl gave me a spa tour and knew what she was talking about. They have a lay down bed(12 min max time) and a stand up bed(9 min max time). I did the lay down bed and loved it! It got pretty hot but that’s what I prefer. I made another appointment to tan in the morning! They have a hydration station, few different massage chairs and some red light therapy treatment.

I don’t think I am really the tanning type but I am going on vacation to a sunny place and didn’t really want to show up pale from the Idaho winter… nor did I want to show up and get burned on day one. So I looked up some places and by proximity, I found Planet Beach on Parkcenter. Kind of an awkward experience for me initially walking in, simply because I consider myself a normal«dude» and the whole tanning/spa ordeal is definitely out of my element. But then I was welcomed in with a smile by a ridiculously attractive younger girl with dark hair. She was legitimately nice and helpful, not the typical fake-nice customer service reps we all see on a daily basis. She was polite and straight to the point as she explained all the products and services. I ended up buying a month of tanning for around 80 dollars after taxes etc. My month is now up and my vacation starts tomorrow. I am happy with the tan, it will look great after a few days under the sun. I only really dealt with two people on a daily basis at the spa, the girl I mentioned previously and another who had red-ish dark hair, who was extremely nice and welcoming The few reviews I have read on a lot of spas/tanning are filled with people saying the employees at these places are snobby and pushy, I didn’t experience that in the slightest here. While I can’t see myself going back for anything(unless I plan another sunny vacation in the middle of our winter) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone else.
