America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Worst service EVER! As someone with 25 years of retail/​customer service experience I feel I am a good judge of this. No one helped us pick out frames for my daughter. After waiting a week we went in to pick them up only to find out they couldn’t be fit to her. Set us out on our own again to pick frames only to find out that the selection of frames they have for a preteen girl who likes unique, not pink, purple, was not there. I’ve never felt so sorry for my child on how she was talked about, not to, by the manager Michael, about her choice of frames. I’ve had great service for the last 6 years and watched that store operate with upmost precision. Over the last 4 months it’s gotten progressively worse and yesterday looked like a 3 ring circus. I will be looking for elsewhere for my families optical needs from now on.

Michael and his staff are amazing! It would sure be nice if everyone that had a great experience like me would post a review, but sadly it’s only the cry babies that can only see the bad in every situation that write a review.
Mistakes were made, and it seems that in today’s world companies don’t care when a customer has an issue. But Michael stepped up and made it right and has made a lifetime customer. My family and I will go nowhere else!

This place is staffed by people that seem too young and IDK rough maybe to work in a optics store? The vibe is kind of like a Walmart, not very classy or comforting.
I will say that prices are good and having taken my personal ODs Rx in the glasses do fit well, look hip and I can see well.
All in all an acceptable experience for the price.

I’ve spent 3 years complaining about my prescription not seeming correct, them not being able to fit me well with contacts, and dealing with their hidden fees. Finally went elsewhere, and after one visit I can see! With contacts even!
The doctors at America’s Best are always friendly, but seem to lack in experience. The wait times are also insane.

Great place! Fast and friendly service I would defiantly recommend this place. Great prices too! I got 2 pairs of glasses and an eye exam for 69 bucks.

Worst experience in health care I have ever been subjected to. Your «clerk» Snowy is a smug, condescending used car salesman that has no business dealing with the public. Your company overcharged me and tried to say that is how insuraqnce works. Um… No it doesn’t. It you say a service is 100.00. i have a co pay of 10. My balance is 90.00. Not 100.00. I am turning this transaction over to my insurance company to investigate your over billing practices. I also am informing them of your attempt to have me agree to commit insurance fraud by billing for a service that was not preformed to cover another service. I warn all people to avoid this scam center. Snowy, get some people skills. You are not always the smartest person in the room. Its not that 10.00 will make me not able to pay my bills, it’s just the blatant theft and trying to pass it off as I am stupid and don’t know what I’m talking about that really bugs me. Your company should be shut down. FYI, I have returned calls to no answer and have not had any communication from your company.

Come here just for the 3 year free eye exams club. I like not having to pay to get your eyes checked every year to order contacts. The service is slow and every time I go there’s always new faces… even the doctors.

I’ve had my issues with this place but had a flawless appointment today with a great staff. The eye doctor was super friendly and explained everything. Ordering contacts was smooth and for the first time since 2007, I recognized someone working there who had helped me during a prior visit.
This place has sucked and I have vowed more than once to never go back between 2008 and 2013 but after this last appointment, I’ll give them another shot in 2014.

Just an update– I did have an America’s Best manager reach out to me on Unilocal.So I had some faith that I would be provided with some customer service. I then sent my contact information and never heard anything back.
I did take my business to Eyemart Express in Boise and I was in and out with no issues, a great and friendly staff, AND it came out to be cheaper than America’s Best. Best part, I didn’t take my RX with me to get the glasses, so they wrote up the order, held it until I faxed my RX in the following day. About 20 minutes after I sent the fax I got a call from an Eyemart Express employee just to confirm they received my fax and to let me know they placed the order. I didn’t even ask for a call back– so that is great Customer service. I will recommend them to anyone I know who has eye care needs.
