Not good food at all :(. Went w a group tonight for a friends bday. The only thing that was good was our waiter!

The wait staff leaves much to be desired at this place. Sunday had a good special on ribs but alas no more. I was told the manager was «too busy» to hear about my waitresses forgetting about putting the order in.
Sit at the bar for better service.
This place is now closing, looks like I wasn’t the only one who had a bad experience.

This place is incredibly overrated. The food is average at best and certainly not worth the price. The service is not any better. Lots of rude bartenders and servers that put off the vibe that they hate working there as well.
Probably the worst part about this place is their draft beer — DONT DRINK ANY OF THEM! I went for happy hour recently and I was seriously I’ll a few hours after drinking 3 draft beers. I bet any money the taps haven’t been cleaned properly in some time. Drink bottled beer instead.
Overall, pass on English Tap.

Don’t come here for the food… come for the drink prices or the food specials. We’ve been a couple of times in the past few weeks. Great food specials on Tuesdays (your kid can eat free if you purchase an entrée), they’ve got great happy hour specials on apps and drinks, plus they have $ 3 drafts all the time. Recommend sitting outside as the interior gets incredibly loud, seems like sound just bounces all around the place. Hit or miss with service. Some of the staff is great, some is iffy. Also nice that it’s located in an area where your kid (s) can go play over by the fountains/​stage while you sit around and enjoy a cocktail.

A typical «Pub» type bar. Go for Happy Hour. It is from 4 – 7 and half price drinks. Also, on Tuesday they have 2 – 1 flatbreads and BURGERS!
If going for a few drinks and a quick burger, this is not a bad spot. Take advantage of the Happy Hour and you will for sure have a good time and get your monies worth.

OK, I’d like to give this place a 2.5 because the service was quite decent. But I just can’t bear the thought of putting 3 stars. Let’s just say, we came here because it was walking distance from our hotel (steps away). We were tired of Brio, not in the mood for sushi or steak or tacos, and just wanted good bar food.
Well, we got bar food. Don’t get excited about the seemingly great menu because it’s almost flavorless. And we got a few items, from the blackened ahi salad to the mussels marinara to the fish bites. Was it well prepared? Fried stuff was soggy. Marinara was Hunts tomato sauce out of a can. But at least the ahi tuna and accompanying greens were fresh… Can’t say it was blackened.
Pointers for good beer selections and service. Just don’t take their house red… beyond awful.

Maybe it was the warm sunshine, but we enjoyed our experience at the English Tap.
My partner and I spent the week in Boca Raton and found this place on our first night. We split the Grouper fingers and nachos — our server was nice, the food was good. The nachos were big, splitting two appetizers was plenty for us. What I liked most was the patio — that being said, we’re from Chicago and needed respite from the cold weather.
I’d definitely come back. It was a nice place to just sit and enjoy a few drinks.

I came to this restaurant with a group of friends. The hostess was not to be found, we had to wait and look around to finally be seated.
After we order it took at least 45mins to an hour for our food to arrive.
I order a bacon cheese burger which was not cook on how I order it had no flavor I honestly could care less for it. The French Fries was soggy and nasty.
My friend order a Onion soup which she found a hair in it ! DISGUSTING !!! We told our waitress we wanted a new one and she got all the orders mixed up didn’t come back with a new soup until 30mins later
To keep on my other friend order a spinach dip which wasn’t all that good either. the calamari was the worst calamari I ever tasted. we actually were debating if it was even calamari or maybe just dog crap they gave us. To finish this horrible dinner experience everything was over price and the waitress got our beers mixed up. she kept on bringing out more beer than we asked for.
To sum this up please do not waste your time here only if you plan on drinking beer !!

The worst. Crab cake sliders were burnt ! The turkey pita club was to have oven roasted turkey not the mashed processed turkey I got. Would have sent it all back but it took a half hour to get after we ordered.
Complained to the waitress about the burnt crab cakes and. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager. I told her I didn’t have time but she could tell the chef.

So far, I’m interested!.. Happy hour til 7, includes a great list of nearly 30 draft beers for $ 4, house wine $ 4 and select liquors for half off Plus– half off +$ 1 for Appetizers.
ALSO– the food on regular menu is very reasonably priced. Plus they have a «Sunset Dinner menu» 4 – 7 daily, great selection of seafood, chicken, ribs or pork chops for just $ 10.99 and includes soup or salad.
It is Tuesday and it just so happens they do 2for1 burgers and flatbreads all day!
…I started this review as draft as I was sitting at the Tap Garden sipping on my delicious $ 4 draft IPA. I wanted to wait until I left to finish my review, after I had tasted the food and gotten a good feel for the overall experience.
And now, I must say– I simply do not understand the overall rating of this establishment. The specials are Excellent, and the food and service are both Great! Add to that the convenient location and the great venue (lots of outdoor seating, an outdoor bar and dining table and even a Pool room inside!)– I seriously see nothing but 5 Stars here.
Do yourself a favor and next time you need some You-​time or a welcoming spot and delicious food to enjoy with friends– stop by English Tap & Beer Garden. And then get back on Unilocal and write a review about your experience, this place deserves some awesome reviews.

My last review discussed their weak beer selection but they changed that. Prices were lower here too than any other local beer garden. They carry all three Chimays and they are $ 8 each. They have great happy hours specials like their half price + $ 1.00 on all apps. It’s funny they say that + 1.00 bullshit, basically just say 40% off instead of «half,» but that is a psychological move. It’s not really crowded here, like ever, but they have a decent outdoor patio/​bar and they’re a a bunch of TVs.
I can’t speak on the prices because yesterday they had some great deals like a full rack of baby back ribs for just $ 10.99. They were fall off the bone too. Usually when places have deals on ribs they are neglected, dry and not so hot. The crowd is very old slash douchey but if you are with a group of friends, then happy hour will bring you joy here.

I did not like the food!!! The lederer beer is good… you can try that. The main course was also not satisfying!!!

Went Sunday evening and the service was great and the food great. Not what I wS expecting. I had the portobello sliders. I prefer crunchier bread but thats a personal preference. I would go back to try the rest of their menu

Went here on a first date. Not a bad place to hangout at all. Decent prices, a decent environment as well. Did not try their food so I can’t review that, but the service was very quick, and they have daily specials, which is nice considering the area. Do have to say, I had no idea where the place was until you search for it… its nestled in a corner near several office buildings.

Former neighbor came to town and wanted us to meet him here. Sat outside under cover so no problem when the rain came. Half price drinks until 7 so had a decent glass of Merryvale Chard for $ 6. Flat bread apps were delicious. My Snapper entrée with wild rice and zucchini was really good. Better than expected for a «pub»
On our last visit it was inside and were were in a seperate room with a large crowd. Like the outdoor experince better but that option is off the table when the summer heat and humidity rolls in. Server had no problem handling our grpoup of 7. Nice evening.

I hate this place. I went for the first and last time on Friday. Everything about it confuses me. It’s English. But I am not sure what makes it so. They have like one thing on the menu that is English. The standard fish and chips. Anyway, back to why this place sucks. I ordered a beef on beef burger. Neither the sliced prime rib nor the burger was impressive. It didn’t taste like anything. Not to mention, my tummy hurt all afternoon after eating it :(((. My brother ordered the ceviche. What the heck! How is that even remotely close to being ceviche? Just looking at it, you can tell it’s not fresh. He was very brave as he ate it … Most of it at least. And since when do they serve fried wonton skins with ceviche? The fish was complete rubbish. It looked/​tasted like it was cooked before it was tossed in citrus juice. In fact, it was like fish salsa. Horrible!!!
Another thing, I was so confused by the clothes the waitresses were wearing. It’s not classy, nor sexy. They all looked trashy. Tiny tank tops and black pants that looked grungy. I don’t get it.

We wanted to find a new place to sit outside since the weather has been so perfect, so we met up with some family here. So glad they suggested the place because the place was GREAT !!!
Even though they are known for beer, I ordered one of their special drinks, Sour Apple Martini. I enjoyed it so much that i ended up ordering two more.
Appetizers:
CEVICHE — made with white fish, shrimp and scallops marinated in lime juice with fresh veggies served with wontons. Everyone at the table enjoyed it.
FLATBREAD — margarita roasted tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed this dish as well.
MUSSELS — steamed mussels in a spicy tomato broth with crispy cherry peppers served with sour dough crostini. Even though the other appetizers were good, this one was the winner. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second serving.
OK, now I was already getting full but I wanted to try their dinner, so I ordered a main dish anyway (I have big eyes).
Dinner:
I ordered the Bourbon Glazed Salmon marinated with a bourbon sauce served with rice and vegetables. WOW, this dish was really good. Salmon was not over cooked and the sauce was loaded with flavor.
I will definitely come back to this place. The waitress that we had was really friendly and came by often enough to make sure we werent running low with our drinks or need anything else.

I came here with a group of lady friends for some snacking and drinking.
I ordered the jolly rancher martini, which was delish. Not too strong and not too weak.
As for food, I had the spinach dip to snack. It was great! The dessert was another story. We ordered a cookie /​ice cream plate. The cookie was so burnt we asked for them to redo it. They came back with another cookie that wasn’t as burnt.
Overall, the staff was nice and the location is great for a few drinks. There are plenty of vegetarian options, but I didn’t make the most of the menu since I came for the drinks.

Beer-​centric restaurant — no particular garden.
Located in the Boca Center collection of shops amongst the other bars and restaurants. After finally finding a spot, my date and I were looking for a place to sit and chat and we had initially thought Rocco’s Tacos might be the place but it was jammed up so we wander a little further on and came across the English Tap & beer garden.
I would say it is a fancy name for a place that has seating outdoors — it certainly didnt strike us as a beer garden proper. In fact, I thought the beer selection was weak and we actually settled on mojitos– regular for her, raspberry for me.
The bartender did a great job with the drinks and since we wanted to talk we moved inside where it was practically empty. We drank for a bit but decided to pass on food as we wanted to see what else was available to us before deciding what to eat so we paid up and moved along.
Decent place — worth a hit if looking for something casual.

The waiter was nice. Informative. Seemed happy to be there. I am not so into beer but I did try the (Brooklyn) beer. It was refreshing.
As for the food when I was asking about the menu they said they were out of a lot. Boy they weren’t kidding. They then proceeded to hand me a list of all they didn’t have. (I posted it in pics for this restaurant) its quiet extensive. I ended up with the Mediterranean flat bread and ceaser salad. I would say that’s not a meal to review, but I will. It sucked. The flat bread wasn’t flat and crispy. Way too much black olives. The Ceasar salad covered in milky dressing. Maybe if you love craft beer it might be appeasing.
I didn’t like my food.
If you want to eat don’t go on Tues. they obv run out of food by then.
