Wow! Wow! Wow! Came at HH with delicious drinks! Ordered the Queso Blanco for starters! Definitely order again! Three gals ordered all different things… All 3 orders amazing! And birthday dessert! The food was significantly spicy… NOT hot, just terrifically spiced. Julian was our server!!! With top notch attention to detail! Nice job!

Fantastic Mexican! Great menu for gluten free needs. They make fresh guac right at your table. My mom got a strawberry salad and I got the Mahi Mahi tacos. So so good. It all just tasted like summer(which is amazing in February in MN). Super flavorful and satisfying. My one year old loved the rice and beans. We will definitely be going back. So nice to have a great new restaurant at the Mall of America.

A little pricy, but man, it’s it good! I have alot of latina/Latino friends, and they all speak to how close to perfectly authentic Cantina Laredo is! Amazing food, o recommend it to anyone, if you’re willing to pay.

This place is okay. Their food is more of a fusion Mexican compared to authentic flavors. I had steak, a soup and some appetizers. Their guacamole dip was probably my favorite. The restaurant was hitting a fairly good high notes throughout the night until my steak came. It was charred and over cooked. I had wanted to order a medium rare but the server assured me that medium well is the best for the filet mignon cut. So, I thought alright, I will go with his recommendation since he works there and is apparently the one cooking the steak also. Multi– tasking, I guessing. When I complained to him about my steak, he literally ignored my comments and moved on to flirt with my girlfriend the whole night while he knew that I was sitting there feeling kind of bummed out about my entrée. I won’t be back simply because of their bad customer service and average food.

Really good food! We had a great waiter named Geno. He was super nice! Unfortunately, he didn’t have much help & had a ton of tables on a Saturday night. We loved the chips & salsa & the Queso. We ordered the chicken fajita tacos that were pretty good. We definitely want to go back to try more menu items.

I had high hopes for this place since I found it on Open Table. I guess I might be spoiled having lived in Los Angeles all my life and having had awesome Mexican and Tex-Mex food in Los Angeles and Phoenix, AZ. The Carnitas was un-recognizable as carnitas that I am used to. It was bland and wasn’t roasted like it should be. The re-fried beans were okay, but the Spanish rice was down right horrible I didn’t even finish my meal it was so bad. I thought the Mexican food on the Big Island of Hawaii was bad, but this was by far the worst I have ever experienced.

They call themselves a Mexican restaurant! The best thing was the refried beans. The Carnitas was one of the worst I have ever eaten. The Spanish rice was horrible. The server was apologetic, but she didn’t cook this poor excuse for Mexican food. Maybe those who haven’t experienced Mexican or Tex-Mex food in Los Angeles or Phoenix might think this is good, but it was probably one if the worst Mexican food I have ever come across.

A new addition to Mall of America and I like it. To start, they serve two salsas with their warm chips. Spicy and non. Authentic and muy Bueno. Since I was on my own, I sat at the Bar. Draft selection is very limited with the normal Mexican fare. Went for a Surly out of a can. During happy hour, until 7, bar menu is half price. I ordered the carnitas tacos(3) and chicken quesadilla. Both were excellent and good sized portions considering the price for each was just a bit more than a Big Mac. They did the best they could with the atmosphere – but remember you’re in a gargantuan mall. Service was superior and the barkeep gave me great recommendations.

My husband and I frequent the mall often since we both work close. Although we prefer places like Cadillac Ranch and Crave, we decided to try this place. Would give the food 4 stars – excellent salsa and chips that come out first. Tomatillo salsa is warm temperature-wise and hot flavor-wise, different and delicious! I had the mango and chicken salad – one of the best salads I’ve had anywhere and not over-dressed. My husband had a spicy chicken burrito – wasn’t necessarily a menu item but he told the server what he wanted and they were happy to oblige a creation – got exactly what he wanted. Ambience leaves a little to be desired – a bit more open and bright than we prefer. Otherwise, clean and nicely decorated and set up.

I didn’t care for the salsa. Margaritas were somewhat small for the price. Meals were slightly more expensive than many Mexican restaurants. And the food was just ordinary. Would not return.

Pretty good for a Mexican restaurant at the Mall of America. However, not sure if I’m going to come back. Service was slow and it seems like people are not trained. Pros: ++ Excellent spicy salsa – probably the best I’ve had compared to other Mexican restaurants ++ Tuna tacos were great; they had this tangy mango, ginger, and lemon aftertaste ++ Barbacoa soft tacos were delicious. Right amount of spices in the meat ++ General ambiance – we sat on the patio that faces the mall and it didn’t seem it was intrusive as shoppers walked by ++ Flan was tasty Cons: ++ Service was so slow and seemed like they were not trained waiters. It took a long time to get our waters filled and for them to clean plates. Our salsa and chips plates were not cleaned off the table until after we left. Also, they never showed us the dessert plate while they were showing other tables so it was very inconsistent. Also our waiter dropped all of our plates that he cleared off the table as soon as he left. ++ Ribeye steak – not worth it for price ++ Enchiladas were good but seemed like a bit better than Taco Bell because of the tortilla wrapping ++ Mexican brownie – they break the brownie on a hot plate and put ice cream in the middle as well as pour hot butter in the tray until it’s bubbling, nice to watch but not actually that good for taste, the brownie is very dense and I think walnuts have gone bad ++ Overall, food could be served hotter

I’m pleased MOA is getting better restaurants. Not that the old standbys of Tucci Bennuch or Twin City Grill aren’t still wonderful, but sometimes I don’t want to get a plate of expensive food. Sometimes I want mid-range that isn’t fast food. The interior of this place is surprisingly large, and you really don’t feel like you’re in the mall at all. This is important, especially for all the people who work in the mall like the friend I was meeting. They also offer the mall employee discount. Bonus: they seem to be positioned well enough that you can’t hear the children screaming in Nickelodeon Universe. Simple pleasures. There’s an option to have someone come tableside and make fresh guac in front of you. It’s like $ 10, and I don’t love guac enough to have someone come hover of me and make my guac right that second, but if you love guac this could be the thing for you! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, mostly because when I worked in the mall in the mid-aughts, well… the food quality wasn’t that amazing at most places. My margarita was very good, my tacos were full of big ol’ deliciously-done meat strips. I was just completely satisfied with the meal. I’d definitely stop back here, maybe after we try all the other new places in the mall!

Four stars for the food, three for the waiter. The food was excellent — chips & salsa, shrimp salad, and chicken tinga flautas. Beware some dishes do not list all the ingredients, though others do. Service was exceptionally slow, however. Our waiter did not stop back after taking our order until it was time to give us the bill. Then he never came to run my card and someone else had to take it. There were only 8 other tables with people at them. There was an error with my dish and the manager offered to make a new one, but by then we’d already finished our meal. They did not charge for my food, so they did what they could to fix it.

The food was amazingly delicious. I had the enchiladas de espinaca and the subtle different flavors of enchilada just melted in my mouth. The mango tres leches was so moist and yummy

Was going to order pizza and glad the hotel front desk person recommended this instead. Everything was perfect. Guacamole made fresh at the table, enchiladas filled with spinach and mushrooms came with perfect rice and grilled vegetables. Presentation was stunning. I should have taken a picture before I tasted it because after that there was no stopping. Yum!
