Service was great but food was disappointing. I got tamales which were OK, but nothing special. Kinda spendy for what you get. Wife, myself and one kid was $ 55 with no apps and fountain drinks. Tortillas were really good though!

Yo. My co-workers dish came with a sticker barcode stirred into it. They about to scan that shit. That’s messed up. I arrived here for lunch with two others since it was close to our office. The hosts were really friendly and seated us quickly. I was looking for healthy options on the menu. I recall about a year ago they had calories listed for certain items. I asked the server about it, she said she didn’t know, then went on and on about it being a new menu. I mentioned a couple times it was alright. Then she brought another server over and went on and on about it some more and said they never ever listed calories on anything on any of their menus EVER. Well okay, thank you for the thorough response. I settled on grilled fish tacos. When our food came my co-worker had a sticker from an avocado in her carnitas bowl. While she could have simply picked it out, who knows if there are more stickers or whatever else might be in there. A chef from the kitchen came out and apologized quickly, gave her a $ 10 gift card to return, and brought another plate out. He was really accommodating. She still had to wait and watch us eat though. Yep, I started eating. I was hungry… and now also rude. Our server was friendly, so I hate to complain about this stuff, but I think servers need to know when not to interrupt conversations. I felt like she checked in and talked just a little too much. If my water is empty, I’d rather it just be filled, don’t stop me mid sentence each time to ask. I didn’t order a beverage that I’d be charged over and over, it’s water. My other issue was that my bill was screwed up. I ordered just my entrée for $ 15.99, no beverage, no extra sauces. I received a bill for almost $ 25. She put one co-workers lemonade, and the other co-workers extra sour cream on my check. Hmmm… maybe she got confused because she was talking so much. By the way, extra sour cream was $ 1.99 for a little scoop, that shit cray. You can buy a tub for that amount. The food was actually quite good. I enjoyed the fish tacos. Everything on my plate, which came with rice and my choice of beans, tasted fresh. I especially liked the little bit of gooey corn bread they give you. It’s like dessert. It would have been a much better experience if the server toned it down a notch, we didn’t find paper in a dish, and if our bills were accurate.

This is probably the best chain restaurant in the metro area. The food is consistently good and the beer and margarita’s are great. The atmosphere is always fun. One suggestion: Bring back the blackened catfish for the fish tacos. They were so good.

Housemade tortillas(made on a very cool machine) and steak tacos with lime chipotle sauce are winners!!! Would definitely go back here if I’m in MN again. Server was fair(not great) and chips they serve at the table are overly greasy — but those steak tacos made all better.

So you like Mexican food, huh? Late night hunger? How about HH? Okay, perhaps this is the place for you. We had a large party of folks, +10 and found ourselves pulling together tables, sitting medieval style. It was later in the night and there were a few HH specials on tap and rail, I of course had to get a beer. Once everyone arrived we dove into dinner orders and I ended up getting the fajitas — why not?! I seriously love the smell of sizzling veggies on a hot plate — the aroma can’t be matched — I got myself steak, and it came with a half dozen or so hot tortillas. Part of the fun is making your fajitas however you want and it came with salsas, fresh diced veggies, sour cream and guac. I love my food a bit spicy, so I sprinkled myself some hot sauce to top it off. I really couldn’t complain about anything, okay beer and your average fajita tray. If you’re really in a pinch, make your way to Chevy’s; otherwise, there are far more stellar places nearby.

Typical chain Mexican food. I had the Fajita Burrito with crispy Carnitas. The super thick flour tortilla was terrible. The Carnitas was not crispy. The rice looked like it was Made yesterday, dry and unappealing. When I did a search for the restaurant, it said they were open at 1000. They open at 1100. Find somewhere else to go for Mexican. I won’t ever eat at another chevy’s. The only positive I can say is the chips and salsa were great.

When the dinner conversation encapsulated is that Taco Bell is better and more appealing, you know there is a problem. The food is covered in unnecessary sauces to cover for its lack of appeal and quality flavor. Very disappointing meal.

The food here is tremendous. Try the mixed grill fajitas. Very tasty. The chip n salsa are equally good. This is the place for great Tex Mex.

We visit Chevys in Orlando when we visit Mickey. When we saw the Chevys here we stopped for dinner. Pleasant atmosphere and fresh food. Robert, our server, was pleasant, acurate, checked back often, & kept our drinks filled. He knew the menu too. Huge plate, so we shared. Loved the casa.

Walked in just after midnight on a Friday. Unilocal says they’re open until 2:00 am. Not so. Apparently they close early if they don’t feel like staying open later. The bar was about half full but they turned us away. Shame on you Chevy’s!

I was pleasantly surprised of how good the food is here. The table salsa tastes better than it looks and the entrees were great. The chicken chimichanga was good but the crispy chicken flautas were great. Friendly staff as well.

Cheveys has great food, but over priced. Servers are pretty good. It is not very clean. Usually busy. There is outdoor seating but not the best location for that because of the train and all of the airplanes. Love the cheese dip and flautas, awesome! Chips and salsa are good too.

My husband and I were out shopping and decided we better eat before we ventured into IKEA. There is little in the shopping world that is worse than IKEA on an empty stomach. Anyway, we ended up at Chevy’s. Loved the ambiance of this place. Energetic and bright, clean and friendly. We decided IKEA would be better sober so we opted for no drinks. I kept seeing our fellow diners with their colorful boozy drinks and was jealous, but kept drinking my water like a good girl. Damn good thing I did too… this is some salty food! We started with chips and salsa… and dumped a bunch of hot sauce into it since it was so bland. I had to force myself to stop eating chips so I would have room to eat my chicken tacos. When food arrived I was so surprised to see how thick the flour tortillas were for my tacos. Way too bready… I peeled half of it off. My plate was covered in chunks of torn tortilla at the end of my meal. The tacos themselves were palatable. Mexican food has such good flavor-all that salt is just unnecessary. I drank two large glasses of water with my meal and would have had more had our waitress returned to fill our glasses. Erick had a smothered burrito that he appeared to enjoy a lot. While he said he liked my refried beans more than the pintos he ordered, his plate was clean in the end. In sum, it was fine. I realize(and you may too based on my reviews) that I’m a seriously picky eater. If I’m out eating a meal, I expect it to be better than what I can make at home. I could do better chicken tacos than this. I make a pretty damn good margarita too.

It is close to the mall and we were in a hurry, but there are better places to go. The food is fine, but for Mexican this is on the pricier side without being anything special. The chips are good. The salsa isn’t bad either, but has a peppery taste that makes it a bit different than most. It will do, but there are better. Sometimes it is just about getting lunch — Chevy’s is good for that.

Eaten here 3 different times while visiting from Southern California and I hope to be lucky enough to go once again on my next visit late December. Yummy yummy, the streak fajita is awesome, more then you would ever see on your plate in Cali, the fresh homemade tortilla’s are off the chart’s, rare, very rare to get homemade fresh HOT tortilla’s, I was in my glory, I would go there for those alone, fresh and hot. Customer service was pretty good all 3 times I went, no complaints there. Awesome Mexican food! Drinks are pretty good too.

Had a great lunch with a friend. We shared the chicken fajitas… full size… for two ladies… it was great for sharing. I absolutely loved the homemade tortillas, made fresh minutes before your plate arrives. Amazing!!! Even took the extras home to eat later. The little tiny bit of sweet corn they give you delicious! Wish it was more than a garnish :) Salsa wasn’t my favorite… but pretty good. Everyone likes a different style tho. The corn tortilla chips are super thin and wonderful and slightly addicting. Hope you have a good experience like me.

The most worthless Mexican restaurant on the planet. Worst service of any restaurant in the area. They take, on average, ten minutes to greet you once you’re seated. You have to ask three times for chips and salsa, or drink refills. They consistently get orders wrong. The food is ridiculously sub-par and incredibly overpriced. They use a lot of imitation Velveeta in their food. Their evening staff regularly appear drunk. I work across the street, will never set foot in this place again. I refuse to go out with co-workers if they plan on margaritas at this rat trap. Please drive two miles down the road to El Loro Grill. Infinitely better in every way.

First time here. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We had a wait for our food order as our server told us that someone hadn’t turned up for their shift. This left only 2 servers for the room. Our server was friendly and attentive, in spite of having other patrons to attend. The fresh chips and salsa were good. I liked the tortilla soup and chicken quesadilla.

We’ve been going here every time we’ve been to Mall of America. Though it’s located on the outer edge within sight of the mall, I always prefer Chevy’s to mall food courts any day. They make the most awesome fresh tortillas and their fajita platter is enough to feed 2 people and still have some food left over. For the kids, the quesadillas are richer looking than what a grilled cheese looks like at some places. The festive atmosphere and Mexican divey décor makes it an excellent dining experience overall. And I can’t say it enough — the little scoop of sweet corn meal is the ultimate item on the menu. I can probably chow down a quart sized container of the stuff if you turned me loose in their kitchen.
