The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was standard fare, but I will never complain about a complimentary hot breakfast. The first time I stayed here I had a standard King room on the front side of the hotel. Everything was very nice and clean. No complaints. The second time I got an ADA room. A plus was the room was huge and looked like it had been recently renovated — very nice. A minus was the bathroom. I get that the shower needs to meet the needs of those with disabilities, but there was absolutely no way to keep the water inside the shower. I ended up using nearly all the towels, strategically placing them on the floor, to keep from causing a flood. It was odd and i felt like I needed to shower as quickly as possible to minimize the amount of water escaping the shower. There has to be a better way. And I will echo what others have said. If you get a room on the back side of the hotel you will be smack dab against the delivery docks of the grocery behind the hotel. And yes, trucks arrive as early as 5:00 a.m. and there is no way to not hear the trucks idling, backing up, etc. If you’re going to stay here, ask for a room on the front side or be prepared and bring ear plugs.

We stayed here while on a road trip and we got an offer on my mom’s house and needed access to printing and scanning.(It was getting a bit late to get everything straightened out and camp.) It was a perfectly pleasant business hotel. Our room was across from some loading docks, but I didn’t notice until the next morning when I opened the curtains.(I do wear earplugs.) It’s what I expect for a business class hotel in this price range. The thing that did stand out was that there was fresh fruit salad for breakfast.

Bring ear plugs. The hotel is between to business and a dumpster, so you will hear beeping from delivery trucks a night long.

Nice rooms. The staff we interacted with were fine but not overly friendly or efficient. The breakfast was nice, wifi was free, and prices were reasonable.

This Fairfield Inn is essentially identical to the one in Fargo, I assume it’s designed that way, but it’s still great. Friendly staff. Great simple and intuitive floor layouts. Clean spacious rooms. Impressive breakfast in the lobby area, many choices always fresh. All amenities in one well organized area. Central location to shopping and the interstate. Very impressed with this hotel.

I stayed here for a week in January of 2010 — it’s your standard Fairfield Inn. FI’s are pretty much identical no matter where you’re at in the country. The place is low frills, but comfortable enough. They’ve also got free parking and free breakfast in the morning.

Not really too many choices in Bismarck… I couldn’t decide between the Fairfield South or the Fairfield North. I chose North because it was slightly closer to one of the customers I needed to visit. Granted again, not too many hotel choices… but this property was just fine and dandy for my one-night stay.(And I barely spent any time here, since my flight was so dang early!) But friendly staff, small workout room, small pool area, the bed was very comfortable! Complimentary internet. Clean property. I would stay here again.

We came to North Dakota for my cousins wedding. I book a suite so that my 2yo had room to run around. When I checked in the clerks were both wonderful! I get to the room they put us in and it was a small two queen bed room. Not what I reserved. So, back out to the front desk. After talking it over with manager they were able to put us in the room I had reserved. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our first nights stay. The next day they knocked on our door to clean and we were still getting ready. They said they would come back. They never did. Our room was never cleaned the three days we stayed. I had to ask the front desk for clean towels and bedding. The girl at the front desk said she would clean it but didn’t feel like it. I was disappointed in the maid service. I wouldn’t stay there again. If I wanted to change sheets and clean bathrooms I would stay home.
