Checked in for. A two night stay on 10÷6÷15. Got room 101. Was sitting at the room desk doing email when I saw a roach run across the desk. I saw another one running up the wall. I moved to a different room right away and told the day manager about it the next day. He apologized and that was about it.

Was a quiet night sleep, over all not impressed with the property it is in desperate need of a remodel. Convenient location for travelers coming accross i20 and needing a place to stay. The bathroom was dirty and had a layer of dust across the tub that really gives the impression that the cleaning staff doesn’t do a very good job cleaning the room. Beds were very uncomfortable. Overall a disappointing experience compared to other LA quinta locations I have stayed at.

I was disappointed with this La Quinta as compared to others I have stayed at. Not sure if it was just an older building but the room seemed dirty and the bathroom was worse. There were random pieces of hair scattered around the bathroom and parts of the floor were torn up or broken. I was also disappointed that their breakfast did not include make your own waffles– something I have become accustomed to at La Quinta. Overall I would say if you are in a bind choose this hotel over sleeping in your car but otherwise choose something else.

Cheap hotel for this area but you get what you pay for. Room could have been way cleaner but we just needed a place to crash. One table had gunk on it and the bathroom was a bit sketchy even for a la quinta.

Selected this hotel because it was close to the venue where our event was being held. The hotel is located downtown which is convenient and accessible to major highways in and out of town. The price was moderate for hotels in this area, however this hotel is INNEEDOFUPGRADES. The lobby is beautiful and the dining area is also. The intake staff were not the friendliest I have encountered. In fairness to the 4 of them, there was a large party checking in, which should be business as usual. The room I stayed in greeted me with a door that appeared to have been broken into by the marks on the door. There were serious dinks and scratches on the furniture. The ottoman was deflated on one side. I find this very unacceptable for a hotel in this chain. And BTW, I am a Marriott Rewards member. The temperature was either freezing cold or too warm, no middle of the road. Upon my next visit to Birmingham I will not select this hotel.

This place sucks. Maybe it’s not so bad if you don’t rent a pet room. The smell was awful, like dirty dogs and stale smoke. The pet rooms are carpeted, which is dumb. But that’s probably why it smells so bad. We found spider webs on our windows, which tells me they didn’t clean very well. And two out of four towels had weird, unsightly stains on them. I couldn’t even lay under the covers without feeling itchy. We always stay at La Quinta while traveling with our dog, but this is probably the worst one I’ve ever been to. The staff was very friendly though. That’s why I give this place one star, because everything else I’ve seen has been worthy of none.

I stayed at this hotel recently. I was a little skeptical because I did not care too much for the La Quinta in Orlando, but this hotel was within my budget and because I am a rewards member, I chose to give it a shot. Well I was not disappointed. Upon arriving I went to check in it was quick and easy. I originally paid for one night and was going to drive up to Tennessee the next morning. Plans was changed due to the weather. The staff was very accommodating in allowing us to continue our stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the hotel did not smell like animals(our previous hotel smelled like a farm) and the staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is great, you are surrounded by many many places to choose from to eat, shop or just hang about and the hotel offers fee wifi! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice, clean and inexpensive room by a great location.

Very clean room. Well appointed décor and features. They might need more attention to detail like Toilet Paper in the room! Plenty of device charging outlets including computer and phone charger outlets. Front desk staff very accommodating. Definitely would stay here again. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast unless you are a big fan of hard boiled eggs and a toaster pastry.

I found this hotel in Priceline and it was one of the cheaper hotels on the main Birmingham road of 280. Priceline review said 2 stars, but the member reviews made me book this hotel. Here’s my experience: 1. The hotel is located in a great area. It’s very convienient to everything and there’s even a bar(Hogans) within walking distance. 2. Hotel offers free wifi 3. Staff was friendly when we checked in 4. Rooms are not renovated, but they’re clean(none of those old yucky bead spreads). Our king room had a tub, a desk and chair, recliner, and the vanity is outside of the bathroom. 5. All rooms are now non– smoking. 6. Free breakfast– you get what you pay for. Expect small coffee cups, pre-made waffles you toast(ego style) and cereal with milk, but again it’s free. Overall if you’re looking for a clean place to stay at a reasonable price with a convienient location this is the place for you.
