I’ve never stayed at an Extended Stay before but it was very decent. It was definitely an impromptu decision to stay overnight in Birmingham, AL and only needed to rest a few hours. We reserved through and got a reasonable rate. Nesha the front desk attendant provided great customer service! It took a while for the hotel to receive my reservation from so in the meantime she explained the perks rewards program and other things about the hotel. My only disappointment was the confusion of getting to our room as they don’t have elevators so we climbed stairs through doors, weird!

Extended Stay America, Address: 40 State Farm Pkwy, Birmingham, AL35209. The maids have clean your room. One of the staff members was a prostitute. And they steal your mail. I would recommend staying at that location

I’m giving 4 stars because they accommodated us with our dog when she was over their weight limit. We didn’t know about weight limits because it wasn’t listed on the travel site we booked through. Otherwise, it was ok. The first room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned at all. They quickly got us a new room. The second one was fine, but apparently not one they usually put pets in, and I was asked to «be careful not to mess up this room». Personally, I found this a little tacky. The customer service was average. The hotel itself was outdated and smelled vaguely of smoke, but I think that’s due to the type of AC units they use pumping in air from right outside the window. The room was a good size and for a busy weekend in Birmingham, the price was fair.

Very new updated rooms! The only problem I had was during check in. They close at 11pm and I had to call the corporate office to be let in. And it took nearly 30 minutes of waiting outside to be given my key so I could sleep. However it looks as though they have remodeled all rooms and it’s changed the name to extended stay America.
