Everything was so amazing! Service was beyond exceptional, it was the best service I’ve had anywhere. The food was amazing and served promptly. We had a variety of menu items including rolls, sashimi, and beef with broccoli, all well prepared and tasty! They even brought out a free appetizer that was awesome. I will be going back for sure!

Having travel extensively and tasted some truly fantastic sushi, I can heartily recommend Fancy Sushi. Every visit reveals new delights and the service is always on point. Do yourself a favor and try the Uni Shooter. Perfection in a shot. Just try it.(Drink a bit off the top first, as the shooter that they provide is a bit to generous for one gulp. We like to hold the shot in our mouths for a bit while gently swishing it around. Not sure how, but it makes the delicate flavor linger in your mouth longer, which is never long enough.)

Great food, good service, great neighborhood gem! The menu is huge so everyone will surely find something to eat. The owner takes pride in making sure the service is good and guests are welcomed as friends. The sushi is fresh and beautifully presented. This is the best Asian restaurant in Billings.

We really enjoy going to this sushi restaurant! We always order about four rolls, and that is more than enough food for two people. They also always bring us a complimentary sushi roll appetizer, and a free dessert. Last night when we went there, they even gave us a small Christmas present. They have very fast service and GREATSUSHI!!! The employees are very nice, and very tentative. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Sorry I have high standards when it comes to sushi and someday I’ll find it here in billings – if not I’ll return to making my own. This is the second sushi bar that incorrectly cuts fish. That is where the entire success of a so called sushi restaurant hangs! And yet, proper training has not occurred to ensure that success. Why does the way it is cut affect the fish? Whenever you hear someone say«this is too chewy!» Or bite into a band of sinu or have up take several bites to chew up the fish – you’ve come across incorrect slicing of the fish. It doesn’t matter if the fish is excellent, if the cut is wrong, nothing else matters. I tried the Udon – noodles were good, broth not traditional, veggies tasted as if they just added whatever was in the back-again non traditional. The egg in the soup is supposed to be poached! It was boiled and gross. The yellowtail rolls were satisfactory, but it’s really hard to screw up yellowtail that’s why we ordered it. I liked the yellowtail with jalapeño roll the best. The fancy roll, Angel Roll, we got I didn’t care as much for. The bathrooms are nice, restaurant is clean and inviting, staff attentive and helpful. I just wish that if the family running a sushi place is Korean then take hold of your roots – cook what you know and what’s in your heart! What you make at home. And sushi if that’s what drives people to come. But where’s the bibimbap and the Malgeunguk, bolgogi, Jajangmyeon? These are delicious Korean cuisine staples… serve these!

So much better than I expected to find in billings. First trip here I ate at another sushi restaurant and almost vowed to never eat sushi in billings again. So glad I found this restaurant and fill my sushi craving. Hot and sour soup was phenomenal, great sushi, especially liked the jalapeño yellowtail, and great service. Would definitely recommend.

Hidden treasure tucked away in strip mall. but walk in the door, and lovely, peaceful ambiance. Quick, friendly service. Great lunch specials — just $ 7.95 for soup(the hot and sour was spicy and delicious), entrée and rice. I tried my standby, Thai basil w/chicken and veggies, and it was really good. Bonus — they have brown rice. They have sushi lunch specials and bento box specials, $ 11.95 — $ 13.95. Very pleasant lunch!

Went there because it was one of very few Asian restaurants still open after 9pm on a Sunday night with four stars on Unilocal. We had been craving for spicy Asian food for a wk and the food hit the spot! We got Singaporean Fried Rice Noodle with chicken and Thai Curry with chicken. Both dishes were slightly spicy and loaded with fresh veggies and meat. The service was friendly and quick. The décor was a bid strange. A lot of neon lights. Reminded me of vegas ;)

Horribly service, I think we had three different servers in one night. I had to ask for waiter to take my order, after waiting 15min. I then had to ask for my sushi which I saw was sitting on the counter and they never brought to me. My friend got her food before my sushi came out! Then as we had finished our meal and the bus boy brought us our boxes, we still had to ask to get our check!

Overall the city of Billings is not a great place for eating out. In a town with limited competition for diverse restaurants the pickings are often between just ok and bad. This restaurant is one of the former. We went on a Saturday night, ordered three appetizers, and two main dishes. Seaweed salad was good, spicy tuna roll and yellowtail rolls were ok. The fish didn’t taste bad nor did it taste particularly fresh either. It was nothing to write home about. I ordered the birds-nest dish and all the vegetables were overcooked as was most of the seafood. Not horribly, inedibly overcooked but enough to make the food just ok. The other main dish was a steak stir-fry from the grill and it also wasn’t bad. For three appetizers, two main dishes, and two drinks the total was $ 90 without tip. The service was steady, glasses were kept full, and food was brought in a timely manner even though the place was packed that Saturday night. One server spilled a tray of water glasses on a group she was serving but that was it. The previous reviewer from Huntington Beach who was blown away by the fish must have been living here too long because I remember what incredible sushi tastes like and this is not it. Overall the place was okay. I would go back considering the limited selection of food in town because it wasn’t BAD, but I’d try other dishes than what we got. For the quality I would definitely recommend coming during Happy Hour if possible. Many items on the menu are offered at a discount and I think this more accurately represents their middle-of-the-road food.

Great sushi the rolls are pretty large and I love the option of soy bean paper instead of sea weed. They have a huge selection of rolls. Lost one start because their service is usually good but if it’s particularly busy it can be lacking.

I know it has nothing to do with the food… but if the restrooms are clean… well they are spotless at Fancy Sushi Asian Fusion. Now for the food. The shrimp vegetable tempura has been consistently the best. When I want great shrimp and veggies, this is it. We invited some friends from Canada to have lunch with us knowing it would be a great meal, and we were right. Everyone had a great meal and the rest of our visit with them followed suite. Hats off to the staff and management for keeping your standards high and prices reasonable.

So welcoming. Everyone looks out for each others customers as well. Which, is the way it should be. The sushi was do fresh. The fallen city roll is the example of quality in the raw. The ginger sauce makes the roll. The cilantro compliments the tuna. I found a new favorite place. The dynamite roll is great too! I am very proud to give this place 5 stars.

Dang… what a delight! Tried the red snapper and white tuna for an app and Bang!!! Powerful flavors just dominated my mouth! So delicious, very fresh! Had some Generals T’s for lunch and it was a nice portion and very tasty. The sauce was spot on. Came with broccoli and rice, very nice! The menu is very extensive and I cannot wait to come back to Dominate the sushi menu. Best in town! Staff is very nice and accommodating A+++ in my book

as far as a sushi place this is one of the better, you have fresh seafood, great staff who are knowledgeable on each dish to help those wanting to try it the first time. Im one of those that have it with friends who want it, or not have it and my world keeps turning. So try it, and see what you think

Gross. So it may have been a Friday night but it was late in the evening and my date and I waited at the door for 5 – 6 minutes, we were passed by 3 different employees without acknowledgement. There were four empty tables ready to go in plain view but luckily our waiting was long enough to notice the finger smudges on the black shiny tables and food and trash all over the floor. We moved on to Asian sea grill instead and had a great meal.

Ok, so I have to say… when I first moved to Billings, I was a little nervous that a landlocked state would never have good sushi. This place is a little like a nightclub and a sushi bar all rolled into one. The service is super fast, the sushi chef prepares rolls right in front of the dining room, its super clean… and everything is fresh and delicious. Also to note: the pad thai is really good! Think of this place as a bit of an Asian Fusion restaurant but more authentic than a chain place. I’m a big fan.

I don’t buy the whole landlocked reason for high prices. Billings has an airport. That’s how everyone else gets their sushi. That’s how I get my quality sushi in Colorado Springs. Reputable restaurants get their fish flown in 1 – 2 times a week. This is standard practice in the US. Nothing special going on with this construct. The sushi here was very fresh just as it should be. Dishes are inventive, but they are fleecing this city with their exorbitant prices. Ultimately, where else are you going to get your sushi fix? $ 3.25 for one piece of nigiri is a 100% markup over regular prices across the nation. For 3 – 4 dollars, you should absolutely get the standard 2 pcs of nigiri. Especially when the fish is cut thinner than normal. 4 stars for the fresh sushi and excellent tuna jalapeño appetizer. Also, their service was prompt & friendly and the interior decorating is top notch. They also gave us a free«chef special» to try. A nice touch. Bumped down a star for the ridiculous price for their nigiri and sashimi. I can stand paying 2 – 3 dollars over what I’m used to for rolls. No problem. But if you want raw fish here, you better be ready to pay the premium… Also, you can BYOB here.
