This review is solely about the food, it was absolutely fanominal. We had 3 appetizers and 2 entrees. Everything was flawless. The food is made from scratch, and at a reasonable price.

I can’t believe that I’ve never been here until today. We arrived shortly after 6 pm and I was in awe of the décor. I felt bad for the establishment because there was only one other table with customers. However thing really picked up and they had a nearly full house! I had the strawberry jumbo shrimp which was excellent. A little spicy but mostly sweet, served over fresh seasonal veggies. Once the place filled up the service was slow but still great! I will definitely be back.

After the waiter forgot our appetizer, brought salad instead of soup, forgot our water and the portions were small, I still give this place 4 stars. That was the BEST Asian cuisine I have ever had. I ordered Beef Bulgogi and my wife got tuna steak and it was wonderful!

Good was good until the pineapple fried rice was served in a gross, rotted pineapple half. Would have been fine in a dish but the presentation provided less than optimal attention to detail. Could not eat the rice.

Tao is awesome. My wife and I drove by it and always said we need to try it. After a year we did. I am mad we didn’t stop sooner. The food is awesome and the staff is fantastic. Love the pot stickers and miso soup and for desert the donuts are the bomb. We go once a week.

I’m in Billings for work & a co worker suggested this place. I’m glad he did! I’ve been here 3 times in 5 day’s & I should have just eaten here each meal because no other restaurants in Billings has as excellent & presentable food as this gem. The employees here are very knowledgeable. I have had the yushang, Chinese ribeye & another dish I can’t recall. All have rich sauces & fresh & crisp vegetables. I never leave reviews, but this place is so top notch that I had to. Thanks TAO’S.

Great things come in little packages, small place located in a strip mall with great service, good flavor and wonderful food. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and good for locals and for folks just passing through. Daily specials and menu items worth coming for and sesame salad dressing that is exceptional! Entrees are well size, well prepared and good priced. Wine, beer and Saki selections are good to include imports. We had the tempura and it is excellent!

Alway an awesome dinner with good attention & chef checking on patrons when things slow down. Seafood Birdsnest was excellent shrimp, scallops and lobster with a beautiful presentation. Honey Scallops was recommended by the waiter and they are excellent. I’ve had it twice. The classic Happy Family, which I’ve had numerous times, is the best in town.

We ordered egg rolls, orange chicken, general tso’s chicken, and drunken noodles. The eggs rolls are of the type with thin crisp wrappers, not the thick bubbly wraps. Our personal preference is for the thicker wrappings but we can’t fault them for that. However, we can fault them for being under-cooked and doughy on the inside with the flavor lacking any notable quality. Both the orange chicken and general tso chicken tasted as though they were made using the same base sauce, with the addition of whatever ingredient makes up the ordered dish.(i.e. The orange chicken had bits of orange peel added and the general tso had the tiniest bit of spice added.) The chicken was chokingly dry and a bit over-breaded. Our least favorite dish, but the most enjoyed flavor, came with the drunken noodles. The flavor was quite good, if a little basil heavy at times, and the spice was spot on. The meat(chicken, pork, beef) was plentiful and very well cooked. The only downside, and it was a huge one, was the overcooking of the noodles. They were so mushy they broke when lifted and became a paste in your mouth. Quite unfortunate because, other than that, it would be a recommendable dish. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. However, their other dishes may be much better; we’ll never know.

Had a great lunch here today! Ordered the Korean tacos, potstickers apps and entrees: chicken & broccoli, generals chicken and Mongolian beef lunches. All came with soup or salad and rice options. The soup options were great. Not just miso or hot & sour. Service was quick but attentive. The chef came out to say hello & check on guests. All dishes were freshly made and tasted great.

I am ½ Thai and have pretty high standards for Thai food. WOW. This place surprised me. In the middle of Billings, this place has some delicious food. I was encouraged to order the Green Curry, and I am so glad I did. It had some of the best flavors! WOW. I am not even a huge Green Curry fan, but this blew me out of the water. The eggplant was beautifully seared. You could tell the chef had a tasteful hand, he pulled this dish off perfectly. Here’s the thing, I think that you couldn’t go wrong on this menu. It’s Thai food meets fresh and creative, and you get some really delicious food. The restaurant is modern, very clean, a great surprise in this mini strip mall.

I thought it was ok. The egg drop soup was decent but my schezuan beef was not great. I asked for spicy and it was very mild without much flavor.

Not bad for Asian food in Montana, I’m probably biased spending 10 years in California. The service was fast and a mix between fast food and restaurant. I had Yellow Curry Chicken with Thai side salad and fried rice. The veggies were mediocre and dressing was watery. Yellow Curry was decently flavored but this restaurant isn’t known for spicy food. Ordered extra spicy and barely got table pepper. Also bias because nothing is too hot for me. Asked for the Red chili flaked oil which was a dabble for extra $ 0.50. Rice was approximately a cup and a half which was decent but extra was probably an additional charge but I didn’t ask. Overall a decent and quick meal but nothing spectacular. Would return again for quick Thai food.

Simple décor but beautifully appointed and the best part about the dining room is the huge fireplace that puts out actual heat! When it’s snowy and cold outside, this is the place to go to get warm. The staff are all very nice but really aren’t on top of their game yet. That being said, there’s nothing wrong with them, they’re just a little cold or aloof. The food is Quality! But not spicy at all… even if says it might be on the menu. That would be my only legitimate gripe. There are a lot of Thai restaurants now in Billings and all of them have very spicy dishes for those who crave them. The lunch combos are nice, but simplified. Basically you choose any dish as long as it goes with the Pad Thai. It’s warm, clean, and comfortable with very good food. You could do a lot worse. But there are better places for Thai just down King Avenue.
