Lily Bear Lodging

My family and I were so disappointed with the cleanliness and safety of Cabin #4 this weekend. I highly recommend families with young children or pets, to not stay in this location. It was not clean and the heater is located on the floor in the hallway to the bathroom which was extremely hazardous. The heater got extremely hot and if walked on with feet or shoes, you would be burned. We left and did not even stay the whole weekend, in fear our toddler and puppy would be harmed if we stayed. Kate was very unprofessional and argumentative when discussing these matters. They should disclose these amenities before getting locked into an expensive, nonrefundable rate. They could cheaply fix this my installing a toddler fireplace fence around the area or provide it to families to accommodate them.

The cabin and location were great, spacious 3 bedrooms and walking distance to the bars. While it had great amenities such as a fire place, dishwasher, hot tub and grill it lacked some necessities. For example the hot tub barely had any water so we couldn’t get in the first night and I had to call then wait for someone to come out and fill the tub then wait for the water to heat up. Service was quick and friendly though. They provided us with only one roll of toilet paper for an 8 person cabin and no sponge or dish washing soap to clean so I also had to call in for those services. I requested board games to be added and never received a response and no board games were provided. The email confirmation never said what cabin number we were actually in so when we showed up we had to figure out which lodge was ours. Also check out time was way to early 10 am check out when we couldn’t even check in full 4 pm the first night isn’t really fair but they did extend by 2 hours when I called the morning of. Overall customer service was responsive and the cabin was great with a good price.

This place is fantastic! Great location, not far from town or other parts of town
great amenities, hot tub, sauna, pillows blankets, beds/​futons, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, towels, full pantries of silverware and plates, all cooking tools and gadgets available
managers are great help, guided us through the snow on an easy route, provided snow chains, always available for help and very nice!

This is a beautiful cabin in big bear. It was well worth every penny and beyond our expectations. Huge, clean, tasteful big bear themed décor, close to all of the ski resorts and stores. We couldn’t have picked a better vacation rental! We will be back! There is even a sauna and a hot tub!
