Customer service from one of the sales associates on the floor was pretty good. Dude was very nice. But when I went to go purchase an under armor long sleeve the ladies at the front said it wasn’t on sale. I went to retrieve the sign and asked the same sales associate again if these were on sale for $ 27.99(reg $ 49.99) and he said yes because everything on the rack was only under armor… Thank you Big 5! For letting me wait 20 min in line just to tell me I couldn’t get it for that price. False advertisement!!!

Weak fishing tackle selection. Big Bear Sporting Goods/K-mart are better.

if you want help from someone, anyone at the new Big 5 in Big Bear, forget it. Went to check out some things while up in the area. They did not have any more ads, and when inquiring about some product the B***h behind the gun counter not helping anyone else did not know if they carried a certain Pistol Mag or not, then said that they did get them but could not say when or if they would get them again, or tell me what the price on them is?! Really?! W.T.H. you’re in the retail business, you need customers to stay open, Shame on store Management and Big 5. Stay away from this one.

I try to give business to the smaller, locally owned businesses when I’m in Big Bear, but Big 5 is a good, convenient place to get either an Annual Adventure Pass(to park on US Forest Lands) for $ 30(which I especially appreciated, since the Discovery Center was closed on MLK day), or daily pass for $ 5(although they were out of the daily passes when I went). They also had a good selection of whatever sports equipment you’re looking for, including ski stuff, sleds, fishing poles, etc., and had some pretty good prices .and sales items
