Awesome food and great atmosphere at Ocean Prime. Had an excellent filet and my husband ate Sea Bass. The Ocean Prime salad was great. Not one thing I would change. It is a bit loud, but it is because it is crowded with lots of people enjoying good food. Our waiter Jason was attentive and knowledgable.

Dined here Sunday 01÷24÷16 at 7:30pm. I made a reservation for my boyfriend and I to celebrate our anniversary. We both love food and especially like to spoil ourselves once in a while with some fine dining. Ambiance is quite loud but dim and we got seated next to the seafood bar/kitchen entrance so it was quite busy with foot traffic(NBD). Our server seemed to be in a rush or something and kind of pushed a lot of questions all at once to us once we got seated and haven’t even looked at our menu yet. We also had to ask for a drink menu 3x before he brought it over and since it was quite loud my boyfriend couldn’t really hear what he was saying so our server seemed annoyed to have to repeat himself. Not our fault he didn’t stand between us so he can hear us and we could hear him better. Anyway. so service was lack luster and our server seemed too concentrated on the larger table than to us. he didn’t even refill our water once so all in all based on service only…2 stars I guess. Now the food is what brought this review up for me. It wasn’t a crazy menu that blew my mind. But for what we ordered, it was better than my expectations. It’s Dine LA right now so I personally ordered from that menu and my boyfriend ordered off the regular menu. Oysters; 2.5÷5 It was good and fresh but what bothered me was they shucked them where a lot of the shell was inside the half shell they served it on. Ugh next. Lobster Bisque(Dine LA); 3⁄5 Nice seafood flavor and had a couple of chunks of lobster plus some corn in it, topped with a corn fritter(could have done without it honestly) I thought it was a tad sweet but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Rib-eye; 4⁄5 We asked for it to be cooked medium rare, it’s easily both our favorite cut of steak so we had to get it you can’t really mess up a steak, but we’ve had better But we finished every bite so it was still good. Scallops with Risotto(Dine LA); 5⁄5 I think this was one of the best served scallops I had. Their parmesan risotto(I believe had shaved fennel, dill, red onion, peas and parsley) was so spot on creamy and tasty! Even though I was so full I couldn’t stop eating it. And their scallops were seared very nicely. All the components definitely complimented each other nicely. Black Truffle Mac and Cheese; 3.5÷5 Such a simple dish with such a great flavor. Liked it, but didn’t love it. Good to try but wished they used a smaller elbow macaroni I guess and eat this while warm, it gets kinda grainy when it reaches a colder temperature. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie(Dine LA); 4.5÷5 Yum! Presentation was kinda rushed I suppose. but I get it, a lot of these were being ordered at the same time. they all can’t be perfect but the taste was like a lighter snickers bar in a sense. So BOMB.(I’m a baker so I can get super picky about my desserts but as im writing this im craving it again) Basically it’s an Oreo crusted«pie» with a peanut butter mousse coated in a chocolate ganache sitting in a(overly) sweet(to me only, boyfriend surprisingly enjoyed the sauce a lot) chocolate sauce. All in all it was a very enjoyable dessert and we’re glad we shared because I personally don’t think I could finish it all after our large meal. *Does need a tad bit more crunch/crust in my opinion but yeah order this! Drinks; 5⁄5 I got the Pear Grapefruit Fizz which tasted like a delicious soda hahah with a hint of vodka, I wanted another but I had to drive! My boyfriend got the Blood Orange Old Fashion which was strong but good and nice flavor with the hit of blood orange juice at the end All in all this was a nice place to try, not sure if we’ll be back. maybe? But try it out for yourself before making the final judgement. Thanks for reading

There are a lot of factors why I’m giving this place 5 stars. My bf and I came to celebrate his birthday on a Saturday night. I made reservations through OpenTable and wrote that we wanted to sit in a «spacious and lively» place. To be honest, I’m not sure what I really meant but they seemed to understand since our seating arrangement was so spot on. We were seated in the main dining room, in a large booth on the side that oversees the entire room but secluded enough so we could still hear each other. It honestly made the start of the night so much better since this was one of very few restaurants who actually listened to my seating request! Next up, our waiter Zack G. was AWESOME(shout out to him!). Personality, mannerism, professionalism all amazing and contributed positively to our night. Onto the food. We went for DineLA but also ordered from the regular menu as well. Drinks Berries and Bubbles: DELICIOUS, even though I don’t like Vodka! Zack made it in front of us and it was a show in itself. There was dry ice somewhere on the glass so it literally bubbled as he poured the drink it. 100% recommend. Black Orchid: Comes with a ball shaped ice cube with an orchid frozen inside of it. Good but I liked mine better! Food Lobster Bisque: This was probably my least favorite of the meal. It wasn’t bad but nothing spectacular about it either. Parmesan Truffle Fries: Delicious with a generous amount of thick fries so we had to take it to go. I’m sad my bf left the fries in our Über though :( Chilean Sea Bass: My favorite fish and cooked so well I actually closed my eyes when I took the first bite LOL I know, super cheesy but the seasoning was perfect and the texture was very«melt in your mouth». 100% recommend to anyone who likes the fish. Be warned it is a buttery fish so it might get heavy for those who aren’t used to it. Lobster Tail:(Not dinela). The BF ordered the 2 lobster tails and we both really enjoyed it! It’s definitely an entry in itself so don’t try to get it as a «side» like we almost did LOL Ice cream: With the dinela menu, I picked the ice cream for dessert. Zack let me pick two flavors(smaller amounts) of Vanilla and Pumpkin. Vanilla was SOGOOD so also 100% recommend. Crème Brulee: Since it was my bf’s birthday, they gave him a choice of dessert on the house. Crème brûlée is both of our favs and it’s super creamy and delicious here! They even wrote happy birthday on the plate! The only thing I have against this place is that they’re a little slow in service. I think it’s because they’re letting you enjoy the meal. To be fair, I was trying to get us to our next stop to his surprise at a bar in WeHo so to everyone else who is going there to enjoy a nice dinner, I’m sure you won’t feel like it’s slow at all. To recap, service is great, food is delicious and I’d recommend to anyone who loves seafood and steak for a fancy dinner. Thanks Ocean Prime!

When i review a five star place, I must compare it to others of the same genre. So I came here expecting something akin to Morton’s, Boa, Mastro. Regretfully it is not on an equal level. Filming was going on, but not too objectionable. Service was wonderful but the food just did not hit the five star level. Similar lobster mashed, veggies and other usual suspects as at their competitors. It was good, don’t get me wrong. but just not on the level of the others but just as costly. Got to admit thought, the outside patio was great. so if your into outside dinning this might work for you

My mom and I are visiting from Wisconsin. Tonight was our last night in CA so we wanted to have a nice dinner before heading home. One reason we picked Ocean Prime was for the menu selection; it didn’t disappoint. The only downside was my mom felt the French Onion soup was salty; she said she has had better. I had the spicy avocado and tuna sushi roll and that was delicious. We both also felt the filet mignon was salty as well, but that didn’t deter us from eating the whole thing! Great ambiance and very friendly staff!

Dessert definitely needs some work. However, the food here is actually pretty darn good. The teriyaki salmon is not too sweet nor not too salty. The flavor is just right with some depth. The house salad is okay. The dressing is good and the semi spicy candied walnuts are good. but the lettuce can be much more fresh. We had a bit of a yellow thing going on on all 6 plates. The reason behind the –2 stars is because although the waiter was nice and super friendly, it took very long to get each course. We technically waited 15 mins. to get the carrot cake and the chocolate cake. I felt as they forgot our order. Lastly, the price is a little bit high for the amount of food. I know we are all on a diet, but I feel they were a little short on the portion. Therefore 3 stars as it is not a well balanced place. I feel sometimes we are paying for the atmosphere.

Okay so we gave this place another shot. I have no idea what went wrong the first time, maybe we came in when it was extremely busy or whatever the reason may be, this time around was fantastic. However, I do suggest going anytime before 8. It tends to get crowded around that time and that’s when you might have a bad experience. I can’t stress enough how amazing Albert, our waiter, was. He constantly checked on us, made friendly conversation and had us impressed with his service. He was the reason why we had such a good experience. We got the dynamite roll as an appetizer — it was good, but nothing too special. Again we ordered the ribeye(I’m a sucker for this steak), truffle fries and the button mushrooms. The rib eye was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of seasoning. The mushrooms had onions mixed in and gave a great flavor with our steak. The truffle fries were cut thick and they were good. Then we had tea. We got an earl gray and it was so different, in a good way, compared to the normal taste of an earl gray tea. It had a sweet cake-like smell too and had a hint of vanilla taste as well. It was no doubt the most amazing tea I’ve had, we liked it so much we asked to know the brand. Overall this visit was much better. Thank you to Alex who spoke to us about our experience last time and helped us out. I don’t doubt we’ll be back soon.

First Visit: Excellent service and food in a warm and spacious room. I had the teriyaki salmon, which was fresh, moist and tasty. I recommend the brussels sprouts and caesar salad as well. We enjoyed a shared desert, which was a richly decadent chocolate cake with cookie crust and peanut butter. Food is on the pricy side.

Everything about the food was perfect. Our server was great too. The only problem is that we booked what seemed to be the latest reservation offered by the restaurant… and the employees seemed to hate it. Our waitress didn’t rush us at all. But with the music turned off and the employees talking and singing as if we weren’t there, it was a given that we would hear one of the other employees nagging our server and asking her«Did they pay yet?» Relax, buddy. We paid already at that point, we ordered dessert because we were celebrating a birthday, and we were about to head out. Next time, don’t make your customers feel like they’re not welcome! I’ll come back because the food is really that good. Hopefully the workers will be more professional next time.

I love their menu because it is very comprehensive. I come here for their steaks which they cook to perfection based on your preferences, of course. I love mine, medium rare. The service is fast and the servers are very friendly. They will check on you a lot to make sure you are getting what you want and need. My recommendations to accompany your steak are the truffle mac and cheese, the corn and the crab cakes. Oh did I mention how delicious their tuna tartar is? And for dessert, try their carrot cake which is humongous in size so it is definitely to share and their smaller portion of chocolate cake and crème bruleé.

One of my favorite restaurants when I’m visiting Beverly Hills. Love sitting outside, near the fire in the oversized sofa booths. Great live music! Love the menu — especially steak selection. Grilled to medium rare, comes out perfect. From the moment I walk in, to the moment I leave, perfection! Fabuluxe ~

Horrible slow service, food is ok. The bus boy was very rude. the whole experience was not great… disappointing. The gave us a table outside no heaters were on outside and the time of the service and the food was so long! We felt ignored. We wanted to go inside but they didn’t make it happen. We got coffee and tea and the desert didn’t come for half an hour. The tea and coffee was empty by the time we got out desert. Only reason they’re getting three stars instead of two was because they knocked off the desert .it was alright.

Had a wonderful experience here this week. The service was fantastic, thank you Greg and Jonathan, the food was amazing — Chef Matthew and Valerie — and the setting and location were perfect after meetings in the area that afternoon. Chilean Sea Bass, Teriyaki Salmon(which I would have never ordered but was fantastic), Steak, Mac and Cheese, Asparagus, Frank Family wines, Margaritas, fun, fun, fun for our whole group. Will absolutely come here again — great after work happy hour as well by the way.

This restaurant is actually pretty easy to find. It isn’t hidden in a corner like many Beverly Hills restaurants –it takes up the whole corner of the intersection. The setting is very romantic. You walk into an open hallway where part of the restaurant is on the left, then the bar and main seating is to the right. Try some of their unique cocktails at the bar. If you’re spending $ 16 per drink, don’t be a dumbass and get a redbull /vodka. Sit outside on the patio with the live duo pop singers singing on the weekend. Yea, they sing old N’Sync songs but they sing them well. It’s a seafood restaurant hence the name, but they still do serve a decent variety of steaks. Yet, I don’t go to hamburger places and order chicken sandwiches so I went with the grouper plate. It was cooked very nicely. Maybe a but more seasoning on the outside could have been used however. The truffle fries were thick cut, presented well, and worth it. The desert didn’t stand out — standard cheesecake and fudge cake, etc. But I was hoping for more creativitiy. Would I come back? Maybe. But it wasn’t unique enough to make it a destination.

Nice place for lunch in Beverly Hills. Great location and service. Food is above average and its right on a corner on Wilshire, with beautiful umbrellas and booth like patio tables with soft pillows. Order one of their Black Orchid cocktails and watch your afternoon melt away. For days when you are shopping and need a break, bite to eat or an alcohol infused respite from the crowds and heat — this is a regular we love.

We had the pleasure of dining here for a Unilocal Elite event. It was our first one so we didn’t know what to expect but we were blown away! Beautiful location just a block from Rodeo Drive. We started outside where there was plenty of seating, heat lamps, and an awesome live band! We then dined in the Wilshire which had the coolest Sophia Loren wallpaper. Now to the important part, the food! Appetizers: White Truffle Caviar Deviled Eggs — AMAZING. Best deviled eggs I’ve ever had(sorry mom). I still think about these, they were perfect. Oysters — Always good Assorted sushi — Very good First Course: Hamachi crudo — delicious Colossal shrimp cocktail — biggest I’ve ever had!(that’s what she said) wasn’t cleaned 100% but nonetheless very good Signature salad — I’m not a salad girl whatsoever but I LOVEDTHIS. Light dressing, green apples, pecans, cheese, delish. Entrée and sides: Filet mignon — cooked perfectly. a little on the saltier side but I prefer that. Lobster tail — we got it a little overcooked but still good. we didn’t realize the candle was actually warmed butter until they took it away. duh! we should have realized that. Brussel sprouts — great! I think everyone at the table really enjoyed these. bacon makes everything better. Black truffle mac n cheese — SO good. as a mac and cheese fan(snob) all I can say is YES. Creamed spinach — I thought it was good but not order-worthy to me. Roasted Carrots — good, but same feeling as the spinach. Lobster mash potatoes — DELICIOUS. I guess I just love carbs. Dessert: Chocolate peanut butter pie — VERY good. everyone loved it! Blueberry lemon cheesecake — also very good. loved the lemon. Baked alaska — I really liked this but we were torn. It reminded me of an ice cream cake, in a good way. Crème brûlée — I’m personally not a fan of crème brûlée in general but everyone else enjoyed it. I would also like to add that the service was MAGNIFICENT. They didn’t miss a beat. Overall, we had an amazing experience!

So impressed! My experience was a rare combination of beautiful décor, spot-on-service, and eye-rolling-back goodness that was the food. I came for a work function, so my experience was in a private room. The restaurant itself has two sections — a more casual, bar, outdoor patio one. On the other side of the building entrance is the sit-down restaurant. This review is for the sit-down side, which is huge. You walk past an iced display of various seafoods. It was pretty cool. Now onto the food! 1. Bread: You get a little basket with different types. Good, but standard. 2. Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli: Doesn’t this just make your mouth water? Goat cheese in a stuffed pasta. It was immaculate. What made it better was the Golden Oak mushroom flavor, which tasted like truffle. 3. Point Judith calamari: Had a slight sweet-tangy flavor to it. Very unique. 4. Jumbo lump crab cake: They definitely didn’t skimp here on the amount of crab in this dish. The sweet corn addition to this appetizer took it to the next level. 5. Ocean Prime House Salad: Even this was delicious! The goat cheese, apple, and walnuts made this a hit. It’s also pretty large portions! 6. Teriyaki salmon: Perfectly done. Fresh, flavorful. 7. Pittman Farms Chicken: This was absolutely wonderful. Well-flavored and the skin on that chicken was so crispy. 8. Filet mignon: By far my favorite dish of the night, which came with a side of mashed potatoes and beans. Delightful. That filet cooked medium was among the most tender I’ve ever had. Medium rare was also delicious. You will not be disappointed! 9. Cheesecake and chocolate peanut butter cakes: Loved both, but the chocolate peanut butter cake takes the«cake» ha! The CPB cake is surprisingly light tasting(although unlikely to be that way in the calorie department). The cheesecake is also very very good, but a bit heavy. Service was right on. The food came out at the right times, together. And everything came out at the right temperature. They filled the wine and water. For parking, they Valet, which is probably easiest. But just two blocks north is a parking lot that is $ 5 after 6pm. I highly recommend this place. Great place for a date or work dinner.
