My husband always felt that the «off the rack» dress shirts he purchased just didn’t fit right. We decided to find a quality place that would make custom dress shirts for him. We found Mr. Alex on the Internet and that was our lucky day. If you want the «best of the best», you have to go to Mr. Alex. The quality and fit of their clothing is unbelievable and I doubt that my husband will ever go back to buying his shirts and suits «off the rack».
While being measured for his custom dress shirt, I was browsing through some of the fabric books at the shop and I was stunned by the quality and feel of those fabrics. They have a fabric made from a blend of high quality wool and cashmere that was lightweight and soft. The feel of that fabric is indescribable. As Barbra Streisand would say, «it’s like butter». I told my husband that he HAD to have a suit made by Mr. Alex. The shirts and the suit are amazing. The detail that is put into each item of clothing that is made at Mr. Alex is mind boggling. The hand stitching, initials on the cuffs, and natural bone buttons are only some of the special things about their clothing. I know something about fabrics and tailoring and I have never experienced anything like what happens here. Words can’t adequately describe the experience of having your clothing made here. You have to experience it yourself.
To all of this, you add the fact that Alex, Claire and Alex, Jr. are the nicest, kindest and most generous people you will ever meet and this becomes more than shopping for clothes, it becomes a wonderful life experience. You will never meet a more welcoming and talented family. I told my husband that he has to buy something from Mr. Alex at least once a year just so that we can spend time with these wonderful people.
Anyone that is looking for the highest level of quality and service MUST go to Mr. Alex. Anyone that believes they deserve to experience the very best MUST go to Mr. Alex. They are truly a «one of a kind» treasure.

This is a long overdue review but I wanted to RAVE about how wonderful the family at Mr. Alex is. For our wedding, Mr. Alex and his wife Claire, custom made a stunning tux for my husband. We looked at zillions of tuxes at the top department stores and for how much companies are charging for tuxes, the quality was lacking. Mr. Alex created seriously an exquisite tux that will last a lifetime… and if my husband gains weight, they made the tux so that they can let out the pants should he need it. They also fitted my wedding gown perfectly to my body, removing tulle, and doing everything possible to make the dress even more stunning than it already was. As a gift for our officiant, we had Mr. Alex custom make a shirt. Mr. Alex seems to be known for their custom made collars, which are seriously spectacular and stand out beyond any shirt you’ll ever buy elsewhere. A++ for service and quality!
