I’m finding myself in Beverly Hills more often than never nowadays. Unfortunately, it’s not for the reason of striking it rich, so I’ll leave that sob story to my deaf drinking buddy. I came with the misconception that this place would be a healthy salad spot. Yes, you can get your salad here, but fat-assary is also welcomed. So… enter me. There are 2 fairly large parking structures around that corner that give 2 hours free. Use that. I thought meters were free on Sunday’s in these parts, but I was wrong. Jack n Jills would have trouble accommodating groups larger than 6. They have a total of 2 larger tables out back, but that’s all. I had no complaints for service, other than the fact that our waitress spilled water onto my friend. She made up for it by buying him a drink. -=-Hungryman Burger-=- The highlights were bacon, garlic aioli, and egg. Seriously my whole table was eyeing my burger. From the looks around the table, I ordered the right thing. I can’t say that my burger and fries was to die for, but if I weren’t burgering it here, my second choice would be a salad. Nothing else stacked up. Oh, and they have mimosa’s but I didn’t see it listed on the menu.

My job can be pretty sweet sometimes, like when I get free lunch from Jack n’ Jills. It was ordered online, so I never went to the actual restaurant, but the food was yummyy. 3 piece Louisana rotisserie chicken with a side order of roasted veggies, all made better by the Clare nutella, strawberry, and banana crêpe. The chicken was seasoned, tender, and flavorful, and the skin had an especially nice crisp. The roasted veggies were a bit on the greasy side and could have come with more variety(only carrots, zucchini and onion… really??), but felt healthy. The«feeling» healthy part is all that actually matters. The Clare crêpe was so good. Jack n’ Jill’s did not hold back in smothering the crêpe in fruit and nutella. And i fuckkkin love nutella. What a damn good lunch. And fo free? Even better.

This place was adorable! For Beverly Hills this place was priced decent, the location is easy to find and our wait time was maybe 10 Min. My friend and I went for Brunch and I got the eggs Benedict and she got the strawberry oatmeal pancakes we got mimosas as well. Our host and server was friendly and the host even made a point to remember our names! I would love to give it 5 stars but, my food came out significantly earlier then my friends and I can only speak for myself but though my meal was good it was a little luke warm, because we had to wait.(Everyone knows you serve people at a table at the same time, its just rude to eat before everyone has their food) I would defiantly recommend, and next time I’m in the area I would go back :)

I drove past Jack n’Jill’s Too and thought that it looked really cute(and after checking Unilocal!saw that it had 4 stars), so I suggested it as a meeting place for brunch with my friends. Because one of my friends was bringing her toddler, she suggested going to the original Jack n’Jill’s because she knew it was kid friendly. So that’s how we ended up at Jack n’Jills for breakfast. For being kid friendly, they weren’t very kid friendly. My friends tried to take a high chair from the front and were told by the host they had to ask for one, they couldn’t just take one, so they asked. And we waited. And no high chair came. So we asked the server and she said that the high chair wouldn’t really work with a booth because it was too low. My friends just wanted somewhere they could put down their son and not have to hold him the whole time, so they ultimately went and got one themselves when no one was looking. When the server saw the high chair at the table, she seemed annoyed. My friend asked if they had a kid’s menu and the server said«not really officially»(meaning they don’t have a printed one, but yes they have one). So when my friend was ordering she asked if they could just throw a few potatoes on the plate with the«kids scrambled eggs» and she said that she could do a kids sized portion but couldn’t «just throw a few potatoes on there». My friend literally just wanted a bite for her kid and they make her order an entire portion of potatoes. Fine. The menu looked a lot better than it was. I would call this a high end IHOP or Denny’s… large portions, okay to good quality, but nothing special. The wrap and the panini both sounded amazing but just looked okay when they came out. I had the protein scramble, also just okay. The only good thing is that we didn’t have to wait for a table at 10:30 on a Sunday, but it was also daylight savings time(really 9:30 am in people’s minds) so I’m not sure if that would be the case on a normal Sunday. I probably won’t be coming back, but if you’re in the area and looking for somewhere to eat, this place is OK.

Service here was WONDERFUL! The food was tasty and the menu was plenty~! I will def. come back here because I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was really nice as well. They changed their manager and their menu about a couple months ago, supposedly, because I heared it was waaay better now. So give this place a try!

Service, food and celebrity sightings were more than expected… surprised JNJ’s doesn’t have a higher rating. Here’s what the three of us ordered: Crêpe with Bacon and Chicken Jambalaya Blackened Chicken Wrap w/side of Onion Rings Cilantro Lime Salad Cheese Grits Mac and Cheese Club Sandwich w/side of Onion Rings Again, the service was awesome. The food was savory!.. due to portion size, we had a lot of leftovers which tasted just as good the next day. JLO was there with her kids and bf.

Simply put, this place has gone to crap. You’ll see in my original review I was ecstatic about them, but those days are long gone. I had 3 terrible experiences here in a row and didn’t come back until yesterday, 4 months later. I figured I’d give them another shot to see if they got their act together. Nope. The food was just BAD. It’s honestly incredible how inconsistent the food is. I didn’t know that was possible. They used to server HOT and FRESH sweet potatoes fries, tossed in a lovely essence. Now? Freezer fries. No joke. They were so bland, definitely not fresh. They didn’t even have texture to them, they were smooth. It’s apparent the current manager has cut their costs all over the place and the quality has gone done because of this. They must have been hurting, so they cut costs and quality which only led them to worse quality. This place needs a serious overhaul. When I used to go here you couldn’t even get a table. Now the places is empty. Lonely lunch.

If I was in heaven, I know I’d want Jack n’ Jill’s «Quarter» crêpe consisting of Jambalaya greatness… I’ve been going for over 5 years and I love it so much! The only disappointment is that they don’t have a 3rd store in Studio City /Sherman Oaks area… I am the biggest avid fan alive…

Visiting my new friend in Los Angeles from San Diego. Woke up after a wonderful night of drinks and hookah around the city with the question«what do you want for brunch??» I answer with«Brunch is a lifestyle and probably the most important part of any trip for me» We chose Jack n’ Jills for it’s obvious brunchaholic qualities. The décor is adorable, farm house like, and comfortable. I was beyonnnnd impressed that the 3 of us didn’t have to wait for a table. The service is decent, never felt too neglected or too cared for. The food was just up my alley, greasy enough and the mini blueberry muffins were a delicious and fun side to get before your meal. Prices were excellent for what you get, especially in Beverly Hills. Hail to the Brunch Gods for Jack n’ Jills, another successful lifestyle choice.

We had the Strawberry Oatmeal Batter Pancakes yesterday and they were the best pancakes we have ever had. In addition, we had the mini blueberry muffins, and high protein omelet containing egg whites, spinach, turkey bacon, chicken, cheddar, and added mushrooms. Can’t really make a better omelet. **We have been back for the Oatmeal Pancakes and Protein Omelet 3X already in the past month** We barely look at the menu anymore – we just order the same – it’s hard to improve on what’s great. Side of fruit too. Reasonable prices and great value. After eating this meal, we felt great the entire day… — Other helpful notes: 1. Parking: Free parking at all meters before 12 noon on SUNDAY only. If you come any other day, 2 hours free at BH garages or bring a roll of quarters for the meters. 2. There aren’t too many other places like it, and this place is super in demand! If you come here within 1 hour after they open, you can most likely be seated right away. If you are fashionably late on weekends like at 10.30 am to 2PM, don’t come hungry, put your name in, shop for 30 minutes to an hour, come back and your table should be ready. 3. This is a high quality relaxing romantic breakfast/brunch place – not Denny’s! It’s a place to sit and relax and have a slow meal, easy conversation, maybe talk to the table folks next to you. Express your joy about life. You should allow at least an hour to eat here once you are seated and you will have a great start to your day. It’s not a place to rush anyone or be rushed. Just hum this song, «…whatever will be, will be, the future is ours to see…»

Breakfast at Jack n’ Jill’s… I love the strawberry oatmeal cakes — so delicious and satisfying! It’s right in the heart of Beverly Hills and a mom’s cooking type of ambiance with an organic twist that doesn’t disappoint!

2.5 Stars I was looking forward to joining my buddy Tony Y. Jr. Y. for breakfast after being holed up over the weekend so we met here to have a nice brunch. It’s located smack dab in the middle of Beverly Hills and the store front is small that you’d think it was a tiny place but don’t let that fool you because there’s a lot of space inside as there’s a long dining hall that goes way back. It took about 20 – 25 minutes to get seated but we were promptly taken to our seats and passing by a few tables, I knew that I wanted to rotisserie chicken which I spied on someone’s plate. The menu seems to be a composed of a mishmash of things from Louisana Barbecue which is comprised of rotisserie chicken and baby back ribs to salads, pizzas, sandwiches, burgers as well as crepes. It was really cool to have such a varied selection from which to choose. I finally settled on the rotisserie chicken and picked the ¼ chicken with a side of Jambalaya Rice. When my plate was served me, it wasn’t quite as appetizing as I was expecting it to be. The chicken looked a little small and the Jambalaya rice came in one of those smaller sized soup bowls which was about a cup in quantity. The chicken was a tad flavorless which was surprising because it looked really good in the pictures in the menu. They did give me a side dish of cold barbecue sauce for me to dip the chicken which thankfully added some flavor. The Jambalaya tasted like it was made out of a can instead of from scratch and tasted like tomato soup more than anything else. Since it was supposed to be Jambalaya rice, I was surprised it even came out in a soup bowl and consisted of rice and a few sausages. It was really a huge disappointment especially to see that it looked like it came out of a can and was not tenderly crafted from an old southern recipe. Corn bread was also an option and it was pretty flat in taste and even the butter which they could have made a lot more appetizing by adding some honey or something didn’t seem to help. To top it off, we decided to split a vanilla cake that apparently looked inviting from the front. It was dyed with some reddish food coloring so the cake was a dull pink and had white frosting. They also added three dollops of whipped cream and some caramel on top of that which looked strangely familiar to a Cheesecake Factory-type presentation. The cake was really dense and had a strange taste to it. It seemed more like a really dense sponge cake in texture. The frosting was terribly overly sweet and the white chips sprinkled on top just made it even worse. I’m more a fan of butter frosting so this sugary frosting just wasn’t doing it for me. I remarked that this cake was probably the worst cake I’ve ever had in L.A. I really didn’t like it at all. So my first and probably only visit to Jack and Jill’s was a slight disappointment but I do give kudos so the staff who were really friendly and attentive, except for when we were waiting for our cake toward the end of our experience and had to flag down what looked like the manager/owner of the place to remind them we had ordered cake. There’s plenty of better places to grab breakfast in our fair city and I would definitely recommend eating somewhere else if you want a more exciting experience. This place was just too generic and I think is overreaching in trying too many things and not being great at any one style in particular.

Some years back, I was a manager at a couple of Claim Jumper restaurants. So I had sort of a «eureka» moment when I discovered that the proprietor of Jack n’ Jill made his bones in the industry with the same company. No wonder the menu seemed so familiar! Having said that, I think they’ve done a good job of catering to a different clientele by drastically decreasing the portion sizes relative to Claim Jumper while keeping the prices extremely reasonable for 90210. Seriously, an entrée for anything under $ 15 in this city is considered bargain basement.

Yummmmmmmmm… I came here with a bunch of friends for breakfast/brunch. Very delicious! The portion is huge! The ckn fried steak OMG, very big. I like how they serve fresh fruits with their plates. The potatoes were stellar and their omelet was wonderful. Service was nice, but it did take awhile because it was super packed. I also bought a flourless peanut butter cookie… the first time I ever had flourless cookie and it was hecka good. It’s probably bad because it probably gots ton of butter and sugar, but it’s goooooooood. They also have a small bakery selection of other cakes and cookies like red velvet(which I did get). It was ok, but I would only go here for waffle, toast, etc. I had to share my plate with someone because it was so much food. Overall, great experience and great location too! Parking wasn’t bad because there’s a parking lot across the street.

***My breakfast burrito at Jack n’ Jill’s was big and filling, but it was below average in terms of quality and flavor; some of their other breakfast items might be better though*** I believe Jack n’ Jill’s is primarily known for their breakfast. They have a few locations throughout the city, but my trip to this one in Beverly Hills was actually my first visit. Jack n’ Jill’s has a rustic and farm-friendly décor(knickknacks and old countryside decorations along the walls) that reminds me of The Farm of Beverly Hills, which is nearby. Jack n’ Jill’s has a variety of breakfast options including traditional items like egg dishes, omelettes, pancakes, french toast, and waffles. They also have crepes as well as a few healthy options. I went with their Big Spicy Burrito, which was a massive flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, chorizo, roasted potatoes, bacon, cilantro, onions, and cheddar cheese. There was also a little bit of salsa on top of the burrito. The burrito was big and filling, but it was quite bland. It was dry and there was no spiciness to it. The breakfast burrito came with a choice of a side and I went with their roasted potatoes. The potatoes were okay – they had a crispness on the outside as well as a softness on the inside. They probably could have been a tad hotter. Service was good. It took a little bit of time to get a server, but the waiter was friendly and attentive; the food came out at a quick pace. Sometimes, going with something less-than-traditional at a breakfast spot(like a breakfast burrito at a non-Mexican spot) can be a gamble. I did not like the breakfast burrito, but I think it might not be the best representation of what Jack n’ Jill’s has to offer. Their other breakfast options might be better and much more satisfying. During breakfast and lunchtime, there are several nearby parking structures that are free for the first hour or so.

A very delicious yet odd experience. An old friend called me up to see if we could grab brunch, when I asked where they said Jack n Jills… I sighed as last visit wasn’t so pleasant… I had a veggie omelet that taste like nothing, yes NOTHING. No flavor. I was very confused and left hungry. LOL When I got there the place was packed, good sign right… The host very bubbly and kind however appear to be very overwhelmed with the crowd waiting to be sat. We waited for about 15 mins and were then seated in a booth nearby the kitchen. My friend was raving about the corn muffins and said we must get them so we went to order those first. They didn’t have corn muffins ratherr just sliced cornbread lol Okay, I’m tough when it comes to corn bread so these were pretty bad… On the flipside I had very good spinach, tofu, feta cheese crêpe. The orange couldn’t have been fresh… My friend had french toast which was monstrous and drizzled with frosting it reminded me of a cinnibon and tasted just like one but was way to sweet for me and I have a sweet tooth. Better experience this time around and I will for sure give them another try in the future :)

I’m going to give Jack ‘n Jill’s three stars, but not because I liked the food all that much. It’s more because I was excited that Bill Maher was sitting in the very next booth to us, and I had a direct view of him !!! In fact, a portion of his head is actually in one of my pictures… and had I known when taking the picture there was a celebrity in my midst, well, I would have focused on HIM and not on the restaurant décor. Once my husband told me he was there, I realized he could see my every move, and I just didn’t want to point a camera right at him… uhhhhh, I wanted to, but I just didn’t think it was right. Okay, back to the business at hand… I had dined here several years ago and didn’t like it. The menu reads quite well, everything sounds great, but it falls flat for me. Back then, it was blah, it was bland, and I was not thrilled to find out we were going here TODAY. That being said, it’s where my cousin wanted to go, so I didn’t want to upset the apple cart… and now that I got to see Bill Maher eat lunch here, ok, it was a cool experience. Anyway, I hate to say it, but the food still is blah to me. I had the Dayton Salad, and while it was filling, I didn’t even finish it. While the ingredients sounded promising, the salad dressing wasn’t great. For me, it’s the dressing that either knocks it out of the ballpark, or in this case, strikes out. It was a balsamic vinagrette, just a bit too vinegar-y…and not with many spices or balsamic flavor. Just ehhh. Decent amounts of veggies, chicken, feta cheese, etc… but it got lost in the dressing I didn’t like. My husband had the the«Little Italy» flatbread pizza, which had tomato sauce, thin-sliced pepperoni, mushrooms, fresh oregano & mozzarella cheese. He seemed to like it just fine, but I never tasted it, so I don’t know if they did a good job or not. It came with a caesar salad, and that, he did specify was just mediocre. There are so many other places to go and try, I just don’t see a reason to come back… oh wait, except I might run into«Bill» again. I think after today, we can be on a first name basis now. Yehhhhh, it’s like THAT.

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after. Purportedly from all the mimosas they had. Bottomless mimosas for an early Sunday brunch? Between the 3 of us, only 2 of us were of age(hoho. my baby sister is so young.) and we had serious business to attend to post-brunch, so that didn’t happen. But rest assured, we will be back. Large portions are the norm here. Their scrambles and omelettes were average, while the hash browns or more like roasted/fried(?) potatoes were a hit. Not soggy or mushy at all with just a slight crisp on the exterior, perfect for dousing with ketchup. We also ordered the west coast, a breakfast burrito 1.5X the size of my face and stuffed with eggs, turkey bacon(chunks of turkey and not slices of bacon), black beans, bits of avocado, tomato, and cheddar. The corn bread sent your way is a hefty one about the size of your fist!(Everything’s the size of a body part.) It’s buttery and the bread itself has a thick consistency that’s very satisfying. Service was jovial and the interior of JnJ was cozy.

Jack & Jill’s was always on my list-of-place-for-brunch! However, my main review is for the dessert as only my friend ended up ordered from brunch menu as I already had food that morning… The big easy crêpe with country ham, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, and scrambled eggs with sherry cream sauce in a whole wheat crêpe — Wow! It looked amazing and the bite of it I had was GREAT!!! I definitely look forward to coming back for my own dish of breakfast here! Chocolate banana cream crêpe with nutella, banana, banana cream & caramel — I am not a big fan of crêpe, but I wanted some of their famous crêpe while my friend ate… Turns out, I loved their crêpe!!! I loved the simple basic crêpe that had great flavor! & Peach lemonade please!!! — this was good!!! Reminded us of those Japanese freeze pop flavors which made me go buy some ;) Cute restaurant, friendly servers, and great food! I am definitely looking forward to coming back!

3.5 stars. Still on the search for a really outstanding brunch spot in LA, but Jack n’ Jill’s isn’t bad. –Service was quick, friendly, and helpful –Atmosphere was cute and quaint, definitely a nice brunch spot –Peach lemonade is a little too sweet — tastes sort of like it’s been sweetened with Pixie Stix. –Portions are pretty huge. I ordered the country-fried steak & eggs sunny side up with a side of corn bread and cheese grits. The plate comes with THREE eggs… it’s not particularly cheap but you get your money’s worth. The whole meal was pretty tasty, although not the best country fried steak I’ve ever had. I’d order this again though. –My friend got the blueberry mini muffins as her side dish, and I have to say that they were pretty good. I’d recommend ordering the blueberry muffins instead of the cornbread Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience at Jack n’ Jill’s. I’ll probably return at some point if I’m in the area.
