For everyone to know about my pleasant experience with David Orgell store: I was in search for the strap for a rare Dubey watch. I’ve sent 3 emails to different authorized dealers and only one responded!!! My compliments to the company and in particular to Steve Geller, who perfectly and promptly got me the desired part! Very professional and knowledgeable person! Nice and well-spoken gentlemen, who in fact represent not only the wonderful business, but also is the best representation of the heart of our beautiful city, the world known Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive!

This place is OVERPRICED and the owners are very RUDE. Why would anyone go there? They will not take returns if it was on «Sale» even if it was a present. There are many shops in the area who have the same brands for much less money and much nicer people. DONOTEVERGOTHERE. They are hoping to get business from tourist and ripe them off, because NOONEINBEVERLYHILLSWOULDEVERSHOPTHERE, little do they know that tourists these days read the Unilocal reviews and they are loosing out on business. The sales associate was almost embarrassed by the way I was treated by the owners, but he had no power to do anything.

David Orgell is an outstanding store for watches, jewelry, crystal and china. I have been shopping here for years, and I have consistently received wonderful service from each and every member of their professional staff. They have a terrific product selection and, notwithstanding their Beverly Hills address, their prices are very reasonable. The owners and salespeople are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend David Orgell!

Love this store! This store is more like a treasure box. They carry an unbelievable collection of watches, jewelry and gift items from all over the world. Service is great, they have always gone over and beyond for us and I really appreciate that. You just simply can’t find stores like this anymore. If you are looking for a unique gift this is the place.

I didn’t even have to buy from them, to experience first class service. I have had some questions regarding some Baume & Mercier watch that somebody else offered me, a Riviera one. This gentleman has the time to help me without even getting upset. I’ve decided then, that I will buy from them directly. I was impressed with the soft spoken and courteous manners. Absolutely no wonder David Orgell is one of the best places to shop not only in Beverly Hills, but one of the best in USA. Who said that kind people doesn’t exist anymore?

So I was introduced to David Orgell by my Boss, what a unique store in the middle of Rodeo Drive. Whatever you are looking for for your home, jewelry or collectable David Orgell most likely has it or can get it. My first time there I couldn’t believe everything they have there. The Staff at David Orgell is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable so don’t hesitate to ask.

If I could, I would write two separate reviews of this place, because our experience was SO vastly different with the different people who worked there. First, the plus: it seems to be a family-owned business, and the father, a very sweet, soft-spoken and kind-eyed Iranian, was so kind and so respectful, I just wanted to buy everything in the store to support him. Another gentleman who worked there was a tall man who had a tie of sheep knitting, and he was equally kind and pleasant to be around. My mom and I came in to buy both a wedding gift and a brithday gift, and we had been to this store several times before with no problems. Now, the minus: Sometimes, cliches just aren’t true. This time, it was ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,’ because MAN, the son of the very sweet father owner was the total opposite. My mom had bought many presents here over the years, and she was never once charged for gift wrapping. We came and were going to spend about $ 500(which I know wasn’t going to let them retire, but it wasn’t just change, either), and they wanted to charge us an additional $ 15 for gift wrapping. When my mom told them she had never been charged for gift wrapping before and asked if they would do it for $ 10, the son basically called us cheap, said he wasn’t so cheap as to give us $ 5, and walked away. The nice man with the sheep tie had said they would fix up a few things my mom was buying, and the son, who seemed to be in charge of them, just left them on the counter. When we returned over an hour later(they told us to return in fifteen minutes), the son said he couldn’t help us out and threw them in a plastic bag before badmouthing us in Persian right in front of our faces. The poor father’s smile fell, and he looked at us awkwardly as we left. I’ve told my mom she shouldn’t patronize such a rude establishment, but it makes me sad because the father was so sweet.

Rodeo Drive became world renown for luxury shopping in part because of David Orgell. Back in the 50’s David and his wife Teddy opened an elegant silver and tableware store front on what was a quiet little street just down from the Regent Beverly Wilshire. Some 47 years later the David Orgell shop is still there. I understand it may be the oldest store on Rodeo. Over the years they have expanded into luxury gifts, crystal, fine jewelry and antiques. I discovered the joys of shopping at David Orgell just a few months before Mr. Orgell passed away. I was put in charge of finding some unique gifts for my company to bestow on our most valued clients. After some rather disappointing trips around town I landed in D.O. I was greeted by a distinguished man with a soft spoken manner. He asked me for the usual details, budget, quantity and such but the thing that surprised me was he wanted to know a little about each of the recipients. After a quick tour around the room he stopped me in front of a glass case filled with silver and crystal gift items. He had one of the other sales clerks help him remove several of the pieces as he explained how each piece fit one of my needed gift requirements. He took time handling each piece and its explanation as if all were million dollar treasures. We were politely interrupted when another employee quietly whispered«Mr. Orgell you have a phone call, Mrs. Reagan wishes to speak to you» WOW! I didn’t know that my salesman was the owner too! I became a regular customer of D.O. from that point on. I never saw Mr. Orgell again but I did get to know his lovely wife. I was sad the day she retired and decided to sell the store. Even though David and Teddy are no longer there, their spirit remains. Service is what you would expect from the Rodeo experience and the offerings always seems to be just what I need. The outside of the store has been updated to reflect the«new» Rodeo Drive but the inside seems a little tired. It really doesn’t matter though, once I spot the new Vacheron Constantin’s I completely forget everything else. Old time class, old time service. I hope they stay open forever.
